Dr. Lee and her staff are top notch. I had CVI - pain & swelling in my legs for years even while wearing support hose. I had one varicose vein but most of my veins were deep so not a cosmetic decision it was a swelling and pain decision and I did not want it to advance to thrombosis. I had Laser treatments (three in each leg) along with sclerotherapy (three times in each leg) I was so afraid of doing this, I am a complete baby with needles. Strange experience and one I thought should be shared. I was referred to LA vein center by my former dermatologist because he had retired. To begin, I was greeted by a young woman who introduced herself as a nurse practitioner. She discussed treatments while referring to diagrams and images on the wall of severe vein cases, that had no relationship to the small spider veins behind both of my knees and on one area of my calf. In the 90 minute visit I was not examined by this nurse or the clinic doctor. When Dr Lee finally came in, she suggested an ultrasound to get a clear picture of my blood flow to determine what treatment might be. When I finished w the ultrasound the technician said the doctor would be in to explain results and discuss treatment. However, instead the nurse practitioner returned and said results weren't good or bad and for that reason she couldn't say what the best treatment would be and it was up to me to decide what I'd prefer to do. I insisted that she get the doctor to explain. Dr. Lee did return but still did not examine me and also stated that she couldn't guarantee good results on my small veins. They might worsen w sclerotherapy. Which is odd as I explained that I've received said treatment many times over a decade w previous derm and had 90% good results. I've since requested a copy of the report for my ultrasound to seek a second opinion but had no reply. Wouldn't recommend this facility for anyone especially those with any major health vein issues that would require ablation . Red flag when a doctor doesn't preform an exam or explain test results without being pushed to do so. Seems LA vein bills for ultrasound with a staff the likes of a beauty spa . Btw they offer filler, Botox and the like. A big waste of my time and money and a bill for the insurance co. read more

On June 11th, I received laser treatment for venous valve insufficiency in my legs. I felt good about getting Botox at this office until Dr Lee injected my under eyes with Belotero filler. I've had black eyes for months since. I went back after 3 months to ask why, and Dr Lee calmly informed me that it would not go away for a year. Since then, I consulted with another dermatologist's office who was surprised that I hadn't been checked with a standard tool to see where the under surface veins were before the injections. It's now been 10 months. I spent almost $2000 that day and over $600 on concealers, and I still can't cover the darkness under my eyes. I will never go back. read more

I wanted to post an update from a review I made a few years ago regarding spider vein treatments. After 2 unnecessary ablation surgeries that Dr. Lee recommended and performed, my spider veins got 100x worse. I was told by Dr. Lee that I had reflux in both of my legs which is basically the valves in your veins not working properly. Due to the poor results and unnecessary procedures at Dr. Lee's office, I sought out another doctor who did ultrasounds on my legs and said neither had reflux issues. It also turned out that the ablation they did on one vein was incomplete which was causing the spider veins to get worse. I have now been dealing with unsightly spider veins in the treated area for years and I have concerns about what the closed veins will mean for my health in the future. This reinforced my opinion that this office is terrible and gouging people/insurance companies for money. They are lying to patients about their medical issues for profit and for that they should be ashamed of themselves. If I could give them zero stars, I would. Someone should report them to the CA Medical Board for insurance fraud. read more

I've been meaning to write this review for a while. I cannot stress enough how fantastic Dr. Lee and her entire staff are! First, we will talk about results - WOW. I had 6, yes SIX phlebectomy procedures and maybe 10 injection procedures. To say I had vein problems would be an understatement. My legs look and FEEL so much better! Who knew that I'd solve the mystery of why my feet went numb while working out? They no longer do. Now let's talk about skill and bedside manner. Dr. Lee is very nice and asks questions - but she's also quick! The procedure isn't 'fun' but she is like lightening and is in and out. Office and medical staff - one thing I seem to find are great doctors with subpar staff. Not here. Every single person I have spoken with is beyond friendly and super helpful and patient. LA Vein Center is top notch. The entire staff is highly skilled, courteous, personable, and truly caring about a patient's condition. Everything is run in an organized and efficient manner, but never rushed or impersonal. Today I received a clean bill of health for my veins after several radiofrequency ablations, sclerotherapy, and medical injections to treat venous reflux and the varicose veins it caused. Correcting that problem has given me renewed energy because I no longer feel like my legs are weighed down by lead weights. This new-found "spring in my step" has me looking forward to regaining my previous fitness level and feeling hopeful that improving my vein health will improve other aspects of my health. There are two other things I would like to leave for readers. The first is my recommendation to find a time or season when all your refluxing veins can be fixed without dragging things out over time. My initial ultrasound showed three veins on each leg were refluxing. The recommendation was to alternate legs since only one vein a day can be ablated/closed, so I fit the six visits as close together as possible in order to shorten my total recovery time. Each treatment was followed up with an ultrasound a day or so later to make sure no blood clots were developing. Another thing the ultrasounds do is detect other veins that are refluxing but which may have escaped initial detection. In my case there were several more refluxing veins that became apparent and I chose to treat those right away. Taking care of everything within a few weeks made the improvement very pronounced and noticeable to me. I am greatly improved due to the exceptional care I received at LA Vein Center. The second thing I want to leave for readers is my observation that each person I dealt with truly enjoyed working there. Some even expressed how much they liked their jobs. This is something I always take note of because it suggests that the doctor treats her staff well. To pair that with excellent medical care is the height of professionalism. In 2020 I was diagnosed with Chronic Venus Insufficiency and my family doctor recommended Dr. Lee at LA Vein Center for treatment. After six inpatient surgeries and four injection treatments I am happy to say that my legs both look and feel like new legs! I genuinely think that every single team member that I interacted with cared about my health and my happiness.
