The staff was friendly, attentive, and happy to explain the beer flight, which was beautifully presented and offered a great variety of styles something for every palate. The food was just as impressive. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully plated. The balance of textures and flavors really stood out, and you can tell care goes into every dish. Dessert was the perfect ending...rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious. I also loved the charming interior and the option to grab beers to go, with such a fun and colorful selection available. La Barberie is the perfect spot to relax, enjoy great food and craft beer, and soak in a warm local vibe. I would absolutely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

They have great vegetarian options as well. We ordered the shrimp roll, bánh mì, sun-dried tomato lentil dip with pita, and the halloumi salad - everything tasted fresh and flavorful. We sat outside where you can choose between sun or shade, which was really nice after being out biking all day. You can tell the people working here take pride in what they do. Friendly atmosphere, delicious food, and a perfect stop on Île d'Orléans. Would definitely recommend!

Their menu shows alcohol content and their notes. Appetizers only before 5pm, which is what we had. We had the chili appetizer and the French onion soup, and potato wedges with in-house mayo. Chili app was served more on the solid side and served with nacho chips and fixins. Think not of traditional chili soups, but rather chips and dip! French onion soup was rich in flavor, topped with crusted bread and cheese. Our potato wedges were broiled and their mayo was good. Service was friendly and efficient and fast. Interior is casual, clean and comfortable. Would recommend giving this place a shot for a quick drink!

I suspect most of the reviews are based off the beer list and not the food. Let me say service is impeccable and our waiter was amazing. I ordered the cider which was amazing and not sweet but tart. My son ordered the burger and I had the chicken roll for lunch. Both items came with a salad that was delicious. The burger and chicken roll fell short. My son's burger was dry and not flavorful and I could've made myself a much tastier chicken salad at home..... the four stars is definitely for the service and beer. They need to up the food game, but overall a pleasant experience

We had 9 people and they sat 5 at a table and 4 at the bar and we were completely fine with the arrangement. It is quaint and small and we could see our family and even shared some food since we Were close enough. The cheese fondue is not to be missed . It was absolutely the perfect start to our meal. Then we shared an original poutine and it also was delicious- best I had on our trip thus far! I ordered mussels for my meal and a steaming pot arrived and they were yummy. Ambiance and service were great. They accommodated our awful French attempts. Drinks were large. Honestly, I feel lucky to have dined here. Everything was wonderful!

We were seated on the patio and our very sweet server was right out to take our drink order. Since we are eating Poutine all over Canada in search of our favorite. We so enjoyed sitting on the patio, it was a beautiful day, we were people watching and enjoying the umbrellas place up the alley. Our poutine was delivered to the table and I can honestly say it was our favorite. The fries were crunch and creamy on the inside. The gravy was rich and had a deep flavor and the cheese curds had lightly melted. Every bite was perfect. The eatery and bar are tucked into a stone house that dates back to 1668, if only the walls could talk. The bar and restaurant feature local Quebec cuisine and is a gem. The service was excellent as was the atmosphere.

3.5/5, +.5 for service…read more This was my family's last stop in Quebec City before driving back to Montreal. Q-de-Sac is a restaurant in Old Quebec (lower town) that's more of a bar setting. They have some Quebec staples like poutine and foie gras, and a selection of 10" pizzas available. We came here for lunch and each had a French onion soup. I had a Shack's Poutine by myself, while my mom and dad shared a beef cheek pizza. The French onion soup was a bit salty. I find it intriguing that multiple establishments in Quebec City kept mentioning their onion soups as the "best in town", including this one. This one was good, but I'd give Chez Boulay the crown from all the places I tried. The poutine, on the other hand, was excellent. Will never say no to plentiful cheese curds, and I don't mind foie gras at all. My parents enjoyed the beef cheek pizza, particularly highlighting the BBQ sauce and the smoked beef cheeks. Service was excellent. We arrived around 11:30am and there was one other table taken, but by the time we left around 1pm there was a lineup. Personally I would come back here.
