ONLY correspond in writing. I have a timeline of lack of construction being completed. This is my experience with United Built Homes in South Texas. Signed my contract in July 2021 for a 2100+ sq ft home, not custom home. The builder took 16 months to complete the house, completing in November 2022. The foundation wasn't poured until January 2022, 6 months after signing. The builder went through too many construction managers to count and had nothing but excuses. Meanwhile, I'm watching neighborhoods go up and custom homes being completed. If you're going to use United Built Homes be aware and add a completion date to the contract or at the very least that it should be completed with a sense of urgency. In addition they never bothered with a dumpster and covered up countless nails and construction scraps. Learn from my mistake. The subcontractors they hire for the kitchen granite countertops for this company are aweful!…read more We always tell our friends to steer clear of this company when they mention they're looking to install granite countertops. They are great over the phone(polite, great salespitch), but the work was subpar. I have given up trying to schedule a time for them to come and fix what they didn't do right the first time! I have to now hire another company to fix the work NPLH did. Project manager(hardly showed up,unless we called to point out a problem)did not supervise workers the proper way, this is why work turned out bad. They do not pay attention to detail. Ex.the glue/seal they used for the sink undermount of granite countertop was the wrong type, water leaking through and seeping into our cabinets. Home Depot told me this shouldn't happen if they used right epoxy. Sink shouldnt be leaking after 2 years of having been installed.. Ex.they left the underside of countertop (where it meets up with cabinets) with a gap, wooden trim should have been installed. Careful out there folks! Overall, it was a bad experience working with this company.

Her prices were incredible, too! And if you give her a price point, she'll make sure to show you the designers that actually fall in your range. And get this--instead of trying to make a sale immediately and using high-pressure sales tactics, she suggested I go home and buy a cheap leather ottoman from Walmart to see how my cat would react to it and figure out whether or not leather might be an option for my sofa. Not only does she have great connections to companies that produce the furniture I want, she has great ideas on how to decide what will and won't work for me! I haven't purchased a sectional from her yet, but I have no doubt in my mind that she will be the person to help me furnish my home.

Todd is the owner and president of the company and he came by to look at our bathroom and hear about what we envisioned for the remodel. Todd showed up on time for our consult, and was very friendly and knowledgeable, we discussed price and materials and came to an agreement on what we needed our budget to be. Todd wrote up a quote and contract, we reviewed and signed it, and agreed on a start time for the project. We met Todd at a material store and picked out all the tile and discussed fixtures. Todd has a cabinet maker that works with him and this worked out because we had a custom vanity in mind. The representative from the cabinet maker came by and got all the dimensions and finish choices that we requested. This remodel was going to be down to the studs, replace the tub with a walk in shower, plus a modification on two existing walls, and the installation of a door between the bedroom and bathroom, so it was a major project, but Todd assured us they were up to the task. Todd's and his crew showed up on the day we agreed on and after introductions, they got to work. Todd estimated 2-3 weeks, and they finished exactly at three weeks. Because of the new wall in between the bedroom and the bath, the bedroom walls were painted completely so everything matched. We also had custom shelves in our bedroom that had to be taken down while they painted, and they reinstalled them when they finished. Mario, the lead craftsman on the project was amazing, he truly a master craftsman who can do it all, carpentry, tile work, plumbing and electrical, and his helpers, Noe and Steven were very good also. The vanity top was custom cut by one of Todd's vendors and he did an exceptional job. Overall we love our bathroom, it is exactly how we envisioned it, and would recommend Stiefvater Construction highly. Todd went above and beyond managing the project and was very open to us picking out all the tile styles and paint colors. He checked in on a daily basis to see how everything was proceeding, and always kept us updated. If you have a construction project we would highly recommend you giving Todd a call, we are sure he could help you achieve your vision.
