We chose to work with Carl because of his honesty and integrity. Which is incredibly hard to find…read morethese days. Carl, his project manager (Sergio), his roofers, and Jessie did an AMAZING job on our new roof. His team was efficient, professional, and they left everything super clean around our house (not a single nail, shingle, or dirt in sight). Carl is the go-to contractor for Realtors. He is honest, hands-on, and will always show up for his clients. StoneHouse is the only company I will forever recommend to family, friends, colleagues, and clients. Lauren Seely, Realtor

We were woken up in the middle of the night by a loud noise that shook the whole house, we couldn't…read moresee anything wrong. No water in the house or anything, when we got up later that morning we saw a huge split in our ceiling and I knew that something happened to the foundation. I went out front and looked around the house and found a crack from the ground all the way up to the siding. I immediately went online to find a family owned foundation repair company and Carl's company was the first one on google. I called and spoke to the sweetest young lady named kristy, she got us on the books for Carl (the owner of the company) and he was here the next morning checking out the house levels and sure enough our foundation split from the left side of the house all the way to the right. After doing his digital analysis and talking with me about how the process works I decided that no matter what I was going to have his company do the repairs. By 5 that same day he was here, he sent me the estimate and a diagram detailing where the break was and the video of the process and a link for loan options if needed. About a week later we had pulled out funds to pay for the repairs and got on the books for the repairs. The next day we were cleaning the laundry room and moved the washer to get the dust out and there was another crack!!!!! I text Carl and he came back out to look at it and said he was going to have his crew out to start the process sooner than we had scheduled. Robert was here 2 days later with his crew and started the process which was 10/20/22, they finished the foundation 10/26/22 if it wasn't for the rain it would've been done sooner than that!!!!! The whole process was amazing from the start with Kristy, then Carl and then Robert and his crew of guys which by the way was just 4 guys and did a fantastic job!!! We didn't have to worry about getting a place to stay and only had to move a couple pieces of furniture around for the interior beams. What caused the foundation to crack was the sewer lines underneath the foundation, which Carl has a crew working on that at well!!! Carl's company has a lot to offer, one stop shop and family owned business!!! Thank you all for everything!!!!!!!!!

I am updating the review to respond to the business's calculated misrepresentation of the facts and…read morean attempt to minimize severe, documented building code violations. For prospective customers reading this, here is the verified context: Fraudulently advertising yourselves as a "James Hardie Elite Preferred Contractor" to secure the job, only to systemically violate the manufacturer's strict installation guidelines, is not a "punch-list" oversight--it is deceptive marketing and a material breach of contract. Puncturing an internal PVC plumbing pipe, illegally wrapping it in black duct tape, and immediately hiding it behind the new siding is not a 'punch-list' item - it is active fraudulent concealment. The 'Fraudulent' Financing: We authorized the payment because they claimed to follow actively concealed the duct-taped plumbing. Inducing a customer to authorize a loan by hiding severe damage is the legal definition of fraudulent concealment. Contradictory Public Statements & The BBB Complaint: JP Exteriors is using public platforms to feign cooperation. On our active BBB complaint, they claim they are waiting for our independent inspection report before taking action. However, their own written record proves they inspected the property themselves on June 11th and issued a superficial patching offer on June 22nd. The very next day, they explicitly stated in writing they were not willing to expand their scope to a full replacement, formally refusing to cure the hidden defects before our third-party inspection was even conducted on June 24th. The 42-page independent inspection report, which we received on June 29, definitively confirms that the widespread, concealed code violations and structural deficiencies cannot be resolved through superficial patching. The report details systemic failures, including improperly installed weather-resistant barriers, missing flashings, overdriven fasteners, damaged boards, unsealed wall penetrations, and an internal PVC plumbing pipe that was punctured by a fastener and actively concealed with black duct tape. The Manufacturer's Involvement: James Hardie is indeed involved, to the extent that the manufacturer offered to provide free replacement materials to JP Exteriors so they could execute a proper rework. JP Exteriors leadership actively refused this offer. We stand entirely by our documented evidence, our 42-page forensic inspection report, and our active fraud dispute with the Texas Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division. The video proof of punctured plumbing remain on this review.

My wife and I decided to have our 1980s bathroom updated and have it more senior friendly, and from…read morerecommendations from a neighborhood facebook group we found Todd. Todd is the owner and president of the company and he came by to look at our bathroom and hear about what we envisioned for the remodel. Todd showed up on time for our consult, and was very friendly and knowledgeable, we discussed price and materials and came to an agreement on what we needed our budget to be. Todd wrote up a quote and contract, we reviewed and signed it, and agreed on a start time for the project. We met Todd at a material store and picked out all the tile and discussed fixtures. Todd has a cabinet maker that works with him and this worked out because we had a custom vanity in mind. The representative from the cabinet maker came by and got all the dimensions and finish choices that we requested. This remodel was going to be down to the studs, replace the tub with a walk in shower, plus a modification on two existing walls, and the installation of a door between the bedroom and bathroom, so it was a major project, but Todd assured us they were up to the task. Todd's and his crew showed up on the day we agreed on and after introductions, they got to work. Todd estimated 2-3 weeks, and they finished exactly at three weeks. Because of the new wall in between the bedroom and the bath, the bedroom walls were painted completely so everything matched. We also had custom shelves in our bedroom that had to be taken down while they painted, and they reinstalled them when they finished. Mario, the lead craftsman on the project was amazing, he truly a master craftsman who can do it all, carpentry, tile work, plumbing and electrical, and his helpers, Noe and Steven were very good also. The vanity top was custom cut by one of Todd's vendors and he did an exceptional job. Overall we love our bathroom, it is exactly how we envisioned it, and would recommend Stiefvater Construction highly. Todd went above and beyond managing the project and was very open to us picking out all the tile styles and paint colors. He checked in on a daily basis to see how everything was proceeding, and always kept us updated. If you have a construction project we would highly recommend you giving Todd a call, we are sure he could help you achieve your vision.
