Poor application. Anna GLUED the extensions ONTO my skin. Pokes my eye every time I blink.

Have you ever been told not to write emails when angry/emotionally driven? Well, that doesn't apply to me right now. I'm calm. I'm sipping my water. There's no red, hot anger flowing through me. I'm writing this review with a very clear mind. I found this business after a quick browse for extensions. I haven't had extensions in awhile and wanted to spoil myself since I just bought a house -you know, put myself in more debt. I saw 5 stars but only 7 or 8 reviews but thought I'd give this business the benefit of a doubt. I messaged the business and was connected to Erica, the owner. Conversation was smooth and I booked an appointment two days later. 1 year anniversary so $40 promo price. RED FLAG. Anna was my technician. Sweet gal who claims she trained with Daniel Phu. I've watched enough Paris By Night/seen enough advertisement to know who he is. I was impressed and asked her how long she's been doing lashes. Vague response: "A long time." Uh oh. Second red flag. Third red flag: I asked her what length(s) I should get since I'm not familiar. She asked me to show her pictures of the style I wanted and so I showed her a picture from the OWN business of cat-eye lashes. She started spouting out 14 mm and whatnot, saying it'll be dramatic and voluminous and "maybe 14mm or no, 11mm and I'll just see and put them on your lashes...etc." Fourth, gigantic red flag: There was a lot of pain during this procedure. I felt my own lashes being PLUCKED. I didn't say anything. Erica, the owner came by later and thank goodness she did because Anna didn't know how to turn on the AC and the room was getting too hot. Erica didn't even bother to check out her technician's lack of skills and left with her kids. 2+ hours later, Anna finished and lets me look. HOLY $*#*@;@,@&!!*. I did not ask for spider legs on my lashes but that's what I got. Extensions were sticking everywhere AND poking my eyes. I asked Anna to fix one that was pointing away from the other lashes. She just PLUCKED that extension out. Upon CLOSER examination, I saw that Anna had GLUED the extensions onto MY SKIN. Holy heck. I was too horrified to ask her to remove it on the spot, lest she remove my real lashes too. I tipped her $20 and left. Showed my lashes to my GUY friend who asked why my eyelids looked really tight. I explained to him the technician glued the lashes to my skin. I messaged Erica later that day who said she would have Anna remove the lashes + stated Anna has never glued lashes to skin. Lies, probably. Messaged Erica back and asked for another tech. Erica said she would do it herself + refund me but asked for me to come on a weekday afternoon since she had kids for that day or something. Woman, I have work. She was not flexible and I got frustrated. A few days later, I asked for a refund. I've been dealing with the ant/spider/carpet/room problems at my new house and getting these spider legs off my eyes was not priority until now. I just messaged Erica and she said "Sorry, it's been a week and I cannot give you a refund." Uhm. Technically 6 days since I messaged you before midnight lololol. TLDR: -DO NOT GO HERE. $40 for lashes promo, regular $80? Not worth. You're paying for below-mediocre services -My lashes are ruined/missing -$60 down the drain but good lesson to not trust someone who had NO customers on a Sunday -Cheap glue used. Everyday, I'm peeling glue remnants off my lashes. I had someone remove the lashes, it took a VERY long time. The technician mentioned she had never seen this type of glue consistency before Do I feel bad for writing this review? No. I'm entitled to writing about my experience.

    Classroom looking spotless!

The above rating applies to all categories below. Sanitation 5/5 Friendliness 5/5 Professionalism 5/5 Technique 5/5 Customer satisfaction 5/5 This is my first time receiving such extraordinary service. Erica truly takes pride in both her work place and her service. She made me feel right at home the minute I stepped into her spa. What I truly admire was the fact that she constantly made sure I was comfortable as possible before starting the procedure and especially during. The customer service she provided would easily earn 5 stars all on its own. Secondly, the service was beyond phenomenal. Twice as better as my past experiences with other notable shops. I would definitely recommend Erica to all my friends and families because the people I love deserved to be pampered and treated the way I have been at Vbrow & Beauty.

So you can imagine the shock of walking into this place. The price online was different than what they told me. Twice as much. It was a very hot day and I asked, "do you have AC". They turned on a fan on and turned it toward me. They didn't have a big pedicure chair to sit in where you put your feet down into a bath of water. They had a movable thing that they sit on and then I put my feet on it. I also put my feet in a bucket of water below me. The first girl that worked on me couldn't even cut my toenails with the clippers. My nails are not difficult to cut. An older gentleman had to take over and he pinched me with the clippers. Luckily. no skin was broke. The instructor was standing there when I said, "Ouch" and she didn't even blink or even apologize. This gentleman didn't even know how to put the nail polish on so when I got home, I had to cover my nails with more polish. Not sure if it's worth going back to this place. I would pay double the price at my nail person and get better service and not have to drive so far. I was the only person getting my nails done and there was a gentleman getting a five dollar haircut. No other customers. That should've told me something. There were quite a few supervisors just sitting around and eating. One last thing, I don't know how this the school gets accredited. I think if the health department walked in, they would be closed.

Prices are good, but they need better organization, and also their credit card machine was not working so it was cash only. Not sure if I would be back. They also need to update their prices online because they don't match what they charge when you arrive.

When I got there I realized it was not the stylist I wanted but took a chance on her anyway (they had the same name). Paul Mitchell needs to explain the services on their website more clearly. I had no idea what a phase I or phase II was when booking. Had I known, I would have booked phase II (I believe the students are more experienced). That was my mistake which is the only reason I marked the review as a two star instead of one. On to the actual service, the student was friendly and the hair wash was nice and gentle. I told her I have thick heavy hair and I wanted lots of layers starting at my shoulders and a couple inches off with face framing bangs. Right away I could tell she didn't know where to start, which is fine. I wasn't expecting perfection and was fully prepared to walk out with some flaws. My stylist asked for guidance from the teacher there. She helped with the bangs and that's about it. The student never asked for help again and the teacher never came back. I thought it was weird that she wasn't lifting my hair and cutting layers like I usually see with a layered haircut. I thought she must be taking it slow and doing a different approach. I don't know what she was doing because she started blowing drying my hair not long after. So I thought maybe she'd cut more when it's dry. She proceeds to add a bunch of products to my hair with two other students trying to do a blow out for an HOUR. After that she asked me how I liked it, I told her it's hard to tell because it looks the same. The bangs were the only noticeable difference. I asked if she did layers and she said she did. She told me to let her know if anything's wrong they can fix it. But at this point, I didn't want to waste anymore time. Nearly two hours on that chair for little to no difference. I came in for a haircut and couldn't even get that. I would've appreciated it if the student at least tried but it seemed like she wasn't interested. She could've asked for help any of that time and the teacher could've checked up on her (they stay around the area but mainly socialize with each other or sit in empty chairs on their phones). I also did not feel comfortable with the students around gossiping about other clients, it was completely unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable to voice my opinion. When I got home I noticed that the bangs weren't even at all once I tied my hair up. At that point I was really frustrated because the way she cut it was as easy as a YouTube tutorial cut. She never bothered to check if they were even so I had to even it out at home. The blowout also wasn't really there and all the products she put made my hair feel heavy and weighed down and a bit crunchy. I can handle a bad haircut - I have long thick hair that grows fairly quick. I'm not too picky either but to come spend two hours for a service and not receive anything is annoying to say the least.

Bầu không khí tiêu cực do một số nhân viên tạo ra đã làm lu mờ những gì lẽ ra phải là một trải nghiệm học tập tích cực. My experience with Top Line Beauty College was extremely disappointing, largely because of one staff member, Kim. She often acts as though she runs the entire school and creates an uncomfortable environment for students. Over the years, I have heard similar concerns from numerous coworkers, classmates, and colleagues who felt they were treated unfairly or disrespectfully. Students come to beauty school to learn, grow, and build confidence in a supportive environment. Instead, many feel intimidated and afraid to speak up. A learning environment should encourage students, not make them feel fearful or anxious. Based on my experience and the experiences shared by others, I would not recommend this school. The negative atmosphere created by certain staff members overshadows what should be a positive educational experience.

When it comes to communication between teachers and students, it hasn't been very consistent. One instructor will say one thing, while another says something different, which makes it confusing. The grading is also inconsistent, as each instructor seems to grade differently. At the beginning of the semester, we weren't given a clear rubric for how we would be graded. Now that we are close to graduating, points are being taken off for very small details that were never emphasized before. For example, labeling the cups for the products we use--this is now required in abbreviation form, but we were never taught how to do that earlier in the program. Usually, the dispensary person would take care of that. I hope the program can become more organized, with clear expectations for both day and night classes. Right now, it feels like the night class does not receive as much attention or support. Overall, I hope things improve. However, if I had the chance to choose again, I would consider a different school because I don't feel like I learned everything I needed to know.

The person servicing my feet used the drill bit so long that she really thinned out my nails & caused injury & intolerable pain, I almost asked her to leave those toes blank. But I also didn't want to leave with an incomplete service or take away her learning opportunity. It was extremely hard to communicate with them because of the language barrier, it was helpful when the teachers would come over & guide & also be a translator when these issues arose. The vibe overall was fine, the seating where we were guided was pretty uncomfortable set up wise, I felt like I was bending like a pretzel and was very unstable. My manicure came with my gel stuck to my fingers and lots of cuts, bubbles in my nails, and even hair. The sanitization wasn't the best either, tools were continually dropped and continued to be used. I also noticed dirty gloves on clean surfaces. I'd come back to try other things but I'm a bit unsettled by my nails experience. I also came aware that I would be getting services by students, so I completely understand the learning curves. I think the teachers could've stepped in more and supported, guided, corrected, and maybe even shown or done the procedure partially to give more guidance.
