It's been a year since they promised to come finish the job, got their final payment and disappeared. (Yup, I should not have paid them the last big payment before all complete, lesson learned) My cabinet doors fell off, my hood was held up by one screw, the rest are popped out, unfinished/unadjusted cabinets, cracked tiles, sink lose, shoe mold falling out and cracked, base of cabinet missing, cracked grout, etc. .. I have pics. The craftsmanship is rough and patches of filler on cabinet doors here and there. These guy came out with all kind of excuses week after week, month after month... I had been patient and understanding but I just can't keep waiting. They stopped answering my call and text, they are awful. I heard from their worker that many customers are waiting for their job to get done but lots are still waiting and neglected. I agree with Daniel, DO NOT let their smiley faces, part owner Shane C. fool you. They are good sales but don't finish work. Good at coming to collect money but gone like a wind! I too want to take them to court. I am feeling angry, stupid and helpless. I spent almost 18K on this crap. If we find enough unhappy customers, I believe the case will be stronger and we can get together to be each other's witnesses. I am willing to help! Just contact me! There were multiple times where we had to stop their workers and ask them to send someone new because they were doing things wrong. Example: they tried to put tiles down WITHOUT smoothing the adhesive out. Just one of the many ways they messed up. Fast forward to two years later, and the roof in my formal dining collapsed because they did not properly install my shower. The shower liner and drain system was improperly installed, and it cost me THOUSANDS of dollars to fix. They sent someone to come look at the damage when it first happened, and then ignored all my calls after that. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE. Save your money and your sanity and go to someone who actually knows what they're doing.

He's incredibly responsive, helpful. compassionate, reasonable with his communication and action plan. While we battled for insurance money, approval for work to begin, and using a GC for the bulk of the project and James for our floors, he had an order held and waiting for us. Once we got the go ahead, James had flooring at my house the next day ready for installation. Ronald, Janesmar and Junior all carried the same level of respect, attention, and drive that James has to complete our project quickly and correctly. I have recommended James to other friends who've used his company and has equally glowing words for him and his team. I hope to never need new hardwood floors again, but if 3rd time is the charm, I'll still call PeachState Hardwood!

With both times we had Janesmar leading the finishing crew. He gave us great advice on which stains to pick both times and had our floor looking fantastic each time. When we had our first floor replaced, Ronald had it done in less than a day. Both times Peach State worked fast and delivered great results. What a Gem! I have…read moreworked with Darren of Gemstone Carpet & Flooring in the past. He completed a basement renovation to include a bathroom and a sump pump. I recently reached out to Darren about converting our guest bathroom tub/shower combo to a walk-in shower, this was on Saturday, May 4, 2024. I was asking if it would be possible to have it completed by May 13, 2024. Darren assured me that he could make it happen! I initially thought about doing a fiberglass surround but after my consultation with Darren, he explained that tile would add property value. My main concern was that it is difficult to keep grout clean, as I've had a tile shower before. He advised that they do smaller grout lines which would make it easier for cleaning and keeping clean. We went over the need for a built-in bench and tall glass doors because my husband is 6' 4". Darren provided me with samples of tiles and suggested an insert for shampoo bottles and such, as well as upgrading our "builder grade" shower head. We picked out the tile design and colors and it was on. Darren reached out to me on the following Tuesday and had the demo team at my home by Wednesday morning! I can't say enough good things about his team! The tile guy and the plumber were extremely knowledgeable and assured me that all my needs/wants that I discussed with Darren in our initial meeting were understood and would be executed as such. Both of the crews that came out made sure to clean up the debris before leaving for the day. We ran into an issue with my existing wall, which was not straight. The tile guy showed me and explained that it would require him to tear down some drywall and create a new frame so that the tile would sit flush. As the tile guy (Beto) explained, he doesn't just do a job to be doing it, he has a reputation and will only do the job the right way. This reassured me that the job would be done correctly and I would be satisfied with the outcome. I reached out to Darren a few days later because I noticed something off. Darren had someone come out the same day to make the correction to my satisfaction!! We ended up with not only an awesome experience; but also a BEAUTIFUL quality shower!! I would recommend working with Gemstone Carpet & Flooring for any kind of remodel or renovations that you may have. I'm looking forward to working with Darren again.

Originally got a fast reply via phone, set up an appointment, and had someone come out and take a look at the basement. He was friendly and seemed to be interested and capable. He said he would go back and work out a floor plan and pricing estimates for what we had discussed. He did let me know that they were behind on some projects, and we discussed that it was not an immediate need, but he said he would get back to me in about 2 weeks. 3 weeks passed and I reached back out. The person I called said he could see that it was being worked out and to just give it some more time. It's now been 7 months, and have given up believing I might eventually get a quote.
