The worst salon I've ever been to. Chose to have the $50 pedicure, which was 30 minutes and consisted of a two minute massage. then came my hands. She filed and cut my nails too short and then when I went to pay her, she charged me $10 more than the advertise price. She said it's because she had to fix two nails the two nails she had to fix the ones that she kept by mistake and had to repair, but I had to pay for her mistake. I was not very happy to say the least. Staff were not friendly didn't offer us anything to drink so I will never go back there again girls save your money. There are plenty of nail salons in Johnson City. That must be 100% better than this salon. read more

And ALL of them that have done my nails have done an outstanding job. I always go to Dustin or Tracy if he's on vacation. They are both experts at their craft and I have never had a bad experience like some reviews I've seen. Tracy does beautiful nail art, acrylics, dip. She does is all with excellence and Dustin doesn't do the nail art but he is an artisan. read more

I asked for a "blue aura" nail and even showed him the picture and what a complete waste of $80. I was really looking forward to having nice nails for my trip but a basic nail. THE WORST EXPERIENCE I have ever had at a nail salon! The staff was rude, the service was TERRIBLE ! I selected a normal manicure and pedicure. When I said that I did not want gel, I was given a SCOWL , and comments under the technicians breath. My manicure was a dry manicure, they filed my nails, and did a terrible job at that, and then asked me to pick a color. When I asked about the cuticles, they rolled their eyes, pointed to a different chair and said go. The water was ice, cold, no oil or massage, and a terrible job on the cuticles as well. They acted as though I was putting them out of their way the entire service. My pedicure was mediocre at best. The manicure was terrible I had to go home and fix my nails myself. And all this for the sale price of $50 SAVE YOUR MONEY LADIES and skip this "nail salon" It will be the worst experience you will ever have had a nail salon!!! read more

This is hands down the worst nail experience I've ever had. The name salon was disgusting, nail dust everywhere. Open food and drink containers behind the counter, with one tech eating chips without washing her hands in between addressing someone's nails. I never saw a single thing sanitized. Open, crusty bottles of polish everywhere. I asked for a gel redo and the tech essentially told me he's was going to do a dip powder on me even though that wasn't what I wanted. I've never had one before and didn't realize it's really similar to acrylic. I soaked them off today and my nails are absolutely destroyed. I'm so upset. I'll never ever return here. read more

I went here and just got a gel manicure. I was happy with the end result, but the process was something. Firrst of off the person doing my manicure was aggressive and rough with my hands. Also he had a very strong grip and kind of jerked my hand to move it. He didn't wash his hands and during the process he wiped his nose with his hand and kept going. Also some of the products looked unsanitary and made my nails burn. In the thing that dries your nails had clumps of nail polish in it and felt greasy and unwashed. read more

Since moving back here I have been trying to find a nail salon to do a decent job. I have gone to several in town and each time had to go home and fix them myself after spending a lot of money on them. I thought I would give the salon a chance after reading its reviews. I'm very glad that I did! I had Hannah as a technician and she did an amazing job! I showed her a picture of what I wanted done and she exceeded all expectations. If 0 was an option it would be 0. Sloppy job on no chip. Person used their own nail to push cuticles, I feel this is not a technique learned is school but just lazyness and not at all hygienic. Nails weren't even shaped and nailbed was not cleaned up. The bowl used to soak nails looked like it had old floating cuticles in it. Gave them a try, won't be coming back. Maybe their specialty is acrylics but definitely not no chip or regular manis. If you have standards and have had an actual proper manicure in the past 10/10 would NOT recommend plus some of the staff acted very arrogant, why you ask? Who knows, definitely shouldnt be arrogant when you don't know how to do basic things. read more

This place is horrible. I went in today to get my nails done for my wedding tomorrow. I made it VERY clear that my wedding was tomorrow and asked for basic acrylic nails with white tips and gem accents. I had scheduled an appointment and felt like I was being rushed out the whole time. The guy doing my nails completely ignored what I wanted done and did what he thought would be best which turned out horrible. I came in on Thursday at 11am for a pedicure (no appointment) and was placed on the last chair on the left side. Just as we were beginning, a party of 3 women were sat right beside me. The spa provides covering between the customer and the technician but not between parties. The party of 3 didn't care to wear a mask, I kept mine on but with a high risk family and Christmas coming- I had to ask to move. Nick was my technician and was WONDERFUL. He put me on the opposite side and continued. There is a sign saying "mask required" and although the technicians are protected, sitting people right beside each other defeats the purpose. Without Nick handling it so graciously, I would not come back but his attitude and service made a crummy situation better. read more

I've been to this salon twice and both times the experience was not good. The first time, the girl was so inexperienced that she kept asking a coworker what she should be doing at each step. I paid for a deluxe pedicure and the massage was VERY short and only to my upper leg. No feet or ankles. The polish was very thick and she didn't cover the entire nail. The second time, the massage was also extremely short. My nails were cut on a slant and when she was done, she just walked away. After about 10 minutes I went up to pay and they had to look for her. She had in earbuds the entire time and never looked up. I will not be returning. read more

My cuticles were not properly trimmed and my manicure looked like it had been done two weeks prior because the polish did not reach the nail bed. Won't go again. read more

Worst manicure and pedicure in my life!! Technician cut my toe with the clippers, he used the callous grater on my whole foot and the polish was not even. The manicure was worse. The polish was so uneven and badly done that the manager asked another technician to re-do them. They weren't much better after the redo, so I went home and did them myself. I have been going here for almost a year, every 3 weeks and they always do a decent job, not the best, not the worst. Best I have been able to find in JC until yesterday. However, yesterday I went and got dip nails and they were horrible. One nail didn't dry before she put cuticle oil on, ruining the nail and causing it to be rough and matte? The rest were rough and had ridges all throughout. They had bare spots where the tech had sanded down so much, and the color didn't even go all the way to my cuticle, making them look like they had already grown out for a week! I immediately called another salon who could get me in right away, but it had to be right then or they didn't have another opening for awhile (covid). On my way there to get them fixed, I called back L'Etoile and was told very rudely that I needed to come back right now to let them see my nails. I explained I was headed somewhere else that had a last minute cancellation and was getting them fixed there. I just wanted a refund. She refused and just kept repeating for me to come show her my nails. I shouldn't have to show you my nails, if I am dissatisfied with the service, that is enough. Did I mention I have been coming every 3 weeks for almost a year now? Had they been polite and agreed to issue my refund, I would have given them (with a different tech) another chance, as they always have openings even last minute and they do a pretty good job, usually. Do NOT go here! So dirty! Very unhygienic! I sat down for a manicure, and had to ask the tech to change gloves and replace the towel from the previous client before he started (he actually tried to start with a dirty workstation and gloves). He worked between me and another client getting a pedicure at the same time, again without changing gloves. When he finished, there were ridges and bubbles in the polish. I had nail polish all over my fingers, around my cuticles, and even under my nails. I tried scrubbing it off with the scrub brush while washing my hands, but it didn't help. I asked to have them cleaned up, but he barely removed any of it. I had one nail painted white with a design (which I had a picture for). Not only did it look nothing like the picture, the white is actually pink because he didn't clean the red dust off before applying the top coat. The polish I picked was red and white, but somehow I even have some green on 2 fingers. He polished the nails, then pushed the cuticles back, so they already look weeks old. Worst manicure ever! So bad, I had to stop and get nail polish remover on the way home from the nail salon. read more
