After multiple repairs on our vehicles since we've moved nearby, I can vouch for their great feedback and communication about repairs and troubleshooting. Recently (for example) my alternator was going bad. Van Meter replaced it parts & labor plus diagnosing/fixing an unknown engine oil leak and a full oil change all under $700 for my RAV4. Today I dropped off my car because I heard weird noises from the back while highway driving. Left said car there at 11:30 & heard back from the owner Joe just hours later with an estimate for a bad bearing. They even said it could be ready tonight if I needed it. Good stuff. Call ahead for an appointment if possible though because they can get busy.

I began limping my car to a shop I found on Yelp to wait for it to open and beg for help. I stopped at a light and to my right was Coopers. Butch's open sign flashed like a beacon and I pulled in. I walked in and was greeted by the owner, Butch. I explained my predicament and how far from home I was. Butch invited my girlfriend and I in and pulled my car in. He explained that he could either do a patch job and get me on the road in a few minutes or do a complete fix in a couple hours. In the interest of safety, he recommended the full repair, which I opted for. He then asked where I had been visiting. After I told him my family lived nearby, he pointed to his truck and said the keys are in the ignition. Then he sent me to spend a couple hours with my family while he fixed the car. He finished the repair in a couple hours as promised and had me back on the road at a very reasonable price. There are not too many places like this left.
