I feel like having a good relationship with your esthetician is very important, and Alie and I have a super great relationship. Alie is an excellent provider with a very warm personality and a knack for making you feel comfortable. She is also up on current practices in skin care and hair removal, as she regularly participates in continuing education whether it be obtained online or in person at trainings! Her space is flawlessly beautiful, inviting, calm, and CLEAN (which you cannot discount in an esthetician practice - super important!). I then received a message from the spa stating: "Unfortunately, the professional assigned to your services will be unavailable that day, so we will need to reschedule the appointments. We would be happy to move your services to either the week before or the week after..." I understand that scheduling issues happen. However, I explained that I could only reschedule for Monday or Thursday of that same week and requested the same Local Special rate, or potentially a weekend at the same rate due to my work schedule. Since this was booked in advance and the change was on their end, I asked if they would honor the Local Special pricing on another day that aligns with my schedule. I was told no. There was no effort to accommodate, no compromise offered, and no flexibility despite the inconvenience being caused by their scheduling conflict. For a spa associated with guests and visitors of the Francis Marion Hotel, I expected a much higher level of customer service and professionalism. Unfortunately, this experience felt dismissive and inflexible. They simply said no and cancelled my appointments. Locals and tourists, I encourage you to support a business that treats people with common decency. Very disappointing customer service!
