My first experience at this store had been great, which is why I came back, but unfortunately, this time was the opposite. I went in simply to purchase a new shampoo. Right away, Shauna assumed I wanted the smaller size when I hadn't even asked about size. When I agreed to purchase the one she offered ($75, which came out to $80 with tax), I handed her a $100 bill. She told me she couldn't accept it because she had already taken a $100 earlier in the day and would have to "recount everything" for closing. She even pulled out the $100 bill to show me. She made it sound like her closing procedures were my problem, which felt very unprofessional and dismissive. I found this especially frustrating because this store is located at Victoria Gardens -- a very busy shopping center -- and it's hard to believe they can't provide $20 in change. The way it was handled felt rude and unnecessary, and it ruined what should have been a simple purchase. It's unfortunate because this is the closest location to my home (less than 15 minutes away), and my first visit was a good experience. I had hoped to continue shopping here, but Shauna's attitude and the way she handled the situation left me very disappointed.

She passed the phone to another person, that person said I would have to do a facial and the "neck and chest" would be an "add-on" service (the facial was required). She shared there currently was a promotion for the first laser facial at $50, which I thought was great. She advised to book online and said I could also do it through yelp, just let us know when you're here that you want to add the neck and chest. I scheduled my laser facial. I drove from Riverside to Rancho, I arrived about 13 mins early (I was advised to be there 10 mins prior). When I checked in, I explained I was there for a laser facial and wanted to add the neck and chest laser treatment. I clarified my primary concern was the hyperpigmentation on my neck. She said I couldnt do the neck and chest during my first appointment- that I first had to do the facial only... and I would have to book a second facial, that time I could add the neck and chest. I explained to her what I was advised over the phone a few days ago when I called. She agreed to look into it some more, I waited for her to read some material on her screen. And then she tells me that I in fact can add the neck and chest during the first facial, but not today. They would need an additional 15 minutes for the neck and chest so it couldnt be done today during my laser facial appointment (it was still early afternoon and they close at 7pm). So we couldnt proceed if I wanted the neck and chest. This is beyond disappointing, I was really looking forward to the entire experience. Ive heard great things about Skin Laundry and Im into skin care. I even thought, they might win me over and I will end up being a regular customer... but no, this was a major inconvenience! Very inconsiderate of one's time and effort. And for the staff to not be certain of their services! Highly doubt this happens in the Newport Beach location! I wanted to love this place but totally the customer service I expected. And enough for me to NOT return. Probably saving myself from some bs anyway.

And I know it's just my opinion. So people are opinionated, so they don't like the way I think but I say GOD made us to be where we have freedom of choice. Well back to eye lashes, I always wanted them after I considered loosing my original lashes are from mine's thinning out. Again because of the new look, I think that's a better way of saying it, because of the recent new look , I didn't want to look fake. I like that expression better. My daughter had me to get natural or simply put not longe at all. At first I thought it was to much but as I look in the mirror it was perfectly done and the young lady did a great job. I got schooled on how to take care of them. They first tried to sale me a brush and some cream, but I wasn't prepared to spend anymore money, so I didn't get them . So they gave me some sample to use and since I came home with them they have worked perfectly. I've gotten quite a few compliments and from some professionals as well asking if they were my own lashes. And I was told this pretty much as soon as I checked in once I made the 35min drive from their other sister location. They did rectify the situation by discounting the service for their mistake, but the experience just still left me feeling a bit disappointed. Initially I wasn't a huge fan of my lashes just because I felt like there were some spots that didn't look very filled in. But it took about 24hrs for it to grow on me. She did somewhat give me the look I asked for--not too much and something that accentuated my face without being overtly appearing as false lashes. And I know the reason why it didn't look the same was because they had to substitute for the look I usually go far due to them not having the correct lashes in stock. Because of this I just know I can't come back because we're supposed to leave our lash appointment feeling our most beautiful or "upgraded" self but I just left feeling a bit let down.
