Paella mixta Cheese bread Croquetas Parillada
    Anna J.

We were looking for some sangria and paella one evening and stumbled on this place! We got there and we were able to sit quickly for 4 people. Our waiter was friendly and got us our drinks quickly. I started with the sangria and it was MASSIVE! It was also delicious and worth the price. For the main, we got a mix of things. We got the paella mixta, the croquetas, cheesy garlic bread and the parillada. Overall, the food and portions were good! It was not the most stellar we had during our time in a Spain but it was all just good. Nothing stood out besides the sangria and the croquetas were also delicious! I wish the food stood out more but overall it was just okay! Almost a 4 star but not quite. The inside of the restaurant was nice though and had a good vibe

Had an incredible time dining here. The food was absolutely wonderful--each dish was full of flavor and expertly prepared. The service was exceptional as well, with the staff going above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I truly felt taken care of throughout the meal. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. Ness was our server

Great tasting food. Paella was perfect. Service was really good. No complaints. This place should be rated higher than what it is.

I think they cater primarily to tourists and everything is overpriced. I ordered the Catalan Noodles Paella because my friend said that is the "real" way of eating Paella in the Catalan region. The flavor was good, but the seafood wasn't really that fresh and it was quite sparse. For $20, I ordered the Paella and water. That is very overpriced, especially when the food was not amazing. The location is conveniently right off La Rambla and the restaurant is modern.

My wife and I were on vacation in Barcelona and decided to walk down to Santa Anna from our hotel. Thankfully we showed up at the perfect time and were able to find a table easily. Service was friendly and fast. We ordered chicken skewers for our tapas and the Paella Mixti to share. On a side note the house wine was excellent! The food came out quickly, was very hot, and the presentation was excellent. Our paella was delicious. The chicken and pork were cooked bone in and the flavors were excellent. The mussels and prawn were very large as well. We were very pleased with our experience and would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to go a little off the beaten path!

For my entire Spain visit spanning 5 cities and 10 days, this place was the best seafood paella I had the chance to have. I also discovered the wonderful fiduea dish which is a heavenly paella style dish made with broken noodles instead of rice. Very glad that we stepped into this place for a try. Generous serving sizes ( they said one paella feeds one but it really feeds two). The wait for the food was a bit long but not worrisome . Nice decor and clean environment.

Seafood Fideua (noodles paella) - very good!

Nice little place just off the main path of La Rambla. Several tapas as you would expect and lots of different paella choices (we went with the seafood fideua, noodles instead of rice). The patatas bravas we had were actually some of the best we had during our entire week in Spain. They were cooked perfectly and the sauces had a wonderful flavor. The Seafood Fideua was good, just not great. It was a little bland but I didn't mind eating it. Atmosphere was very nice and the drinks were good. We would stop in again if we're near La Rambla.

Stopped by for a dinner while in Barcelona. My boyfriend was not big on seafood so we opted for chicken paella instead. Also got potato brava to go with it. Overall a nice meal. Cream Catalan for dessert was good as well.

We were supposed to go to places where we marked, but we arrived at Barcelona late, so we decided to go somewhere close. We ordered paella and it was really good. Fried calamari didn't have enough seasoning though. Overall, this place was enough to serve what we needed. I liked a quiet location as well.

It was delicious food. Not the best paella I've had but good. We got the mix paella, sea food paella, the miss appetizers, chorizo and papas. We got the house wine it was good. Very pretty place

Okay for a few basic Tapas like chorizo and baby squid, but the rest is touristy filler. +1 for atmosphere and service,

This place is located not too far from La Ramblas and has a wide variety of paella, which was great for my group since we had a pescatarian and a non-seafood water. We got the vegetarian and chicken paella's because we were squeamish to get some of the seafood options. We also ordered some tapas to make sure we had enough food. The paella's were pretty big, so it was enough food to share between 2 people with other sides. I thought the paella was good and the sangria cava was also great. The restaurant had a modern atmosphere but never quite filled up. This is a great place to stop if you are looking for something beyond the traditional seafood paella!

This was recommended by friends awhile back, I remembered the modern ambiance, amazing Tapas, friendly service and the place was as busy then until now. For this big restaurant caliber, it's pretty crowded yet they do a good job with a fast turnaround. We did the early Dinner and by the time we got out there was already a long line for late Diners. The fact that even after a decade, it's rare that I go back to the same spot let alone they're still around after all these years. You already know that tells a lot and I feel bad for those who didn't have the same great experience, hope they give it another shot. See y'all soon! Salut, Vermouth!

For an early dinner by Spanish time, we started with the croquettes. Crip and wonderful. Then the tenderloin which was taste as well, though we should have a sales what is on the top. It seemed like mostly a flavored fat. The tomato with toast was lovely. Soaked with natural tomato juice. The skewered prawns were the best. Get them. And we ended with coconut pudding. It was like a flan with a coconut base. All together fun and delicious!

The service was excellent, our server spoke English and knew so much about American pop culture. He even sang NSYNC songs to us while serving us dishes. As for the food let's get into it: - Lobster Croquettes (8/10) We've had a lot of croquettes this trip, but these were on another level, get one per person. - Paella (7.5/10) Different style of paella from other places we went. It was almost like a paella curry, which was still rich and delicious. - Squid Sandwich (10/10) This is hands down the best appetizer I've ever had. The squid was packed with flavor and the mayo sauce they used paired perfectly. Order one per person, and be prepared to order another to go. - Garlic Shrimp (8/10) Solid entree paired with sourdough bread. Dip that bread into the sauce and you'll be satisfied. - Aged Beef Steak w/ Foie Gras (9/10) This might be one of the best steak dishes I've had traveling abroad. It was cooked perfectly, and came with a potato crust on the bottom and Foie Gras on top. Definitely a must order. Overall a great experience, from the service and ambiance to the quality of the food, this is a must try when visiting Barcelona. Would I go again? Absolutely!

Cañete was booked out for 2 weeks straight, so we decided to risk it and see if we could get a spot as walk-ins; and were lucky enough to want less than 5 minutes before being sat at the "bar" in front of the open kitchen, which is honestly the best seat in the house IMHO. You get to see all the 'action' and interact with the friendly and often funny staff. Everything in the menu we tried was fantastic, but a few standouts for me were the squid sandwich (do yourself a favor and try it, even if you aren't a "squid person" the bread is fresh, and the butter garlic sauce they use should be sold in bottles at the supermarket), the lobster croquet was refreshing, and the aged beef steak with foie and truffle sauce was delicious and cooked to perfection.
