They have undefeatable prices. I got a pair of Levi's jeans for $6. I am in love with them, they are in pristine condition. The staff was very attentive. Lots of items though the selection of styles is limited. The changing rooms don't have mirrors, which was a con for me. The best vintage shop in area! Everything is organized and very inexpensive. Unlike many vintage shops that curate the items and Jack up the prices, L Train puts seemingly everything out on the floor and I didn't see any single item over $30. There are a wide variety of items including jerseys, jackets, suits, shoes and of course a fabulous selection of 80s beaded shirts and ancient looking dresses. All I have to say is: WOW This place is, hands down, the best vintage store I've been to. I love vintage goods, but it can be rather frustrating if you don't have the time or patience to go through each and every rack. The store is expertly curated and separates the different styles of clothing perfectly -- it's definitely easy to locate a specific article of clothing without having to dig through racks of tacky, cheap products. I'm a lady who just happens to love menswear. The mens clothing here is unlike anywhere I've ever seen. So many amazing jackets and boots. Swoon! I didn't peruse the women's section as intensely since I was in a rush, but it seems pretty legit also. I found a great pair of sturdy & cute boots for $15. All of the prices were extremely affordable and ranged from $5-$25. Will definitely come back when I have more time! read more

When I first walked in, I was a bit confused because it looked like they only sold men's items... there was no signage I could see that guided shoppers to the room with women's clothes. Sizes aren't organized well (if at all). Couldn't find anything smaller than a Medium for dresses and tops. A really interesting selection and variety of vintage clothes that's entertaining to sift through, but disappointing in their lack of smaller sizes. read more

Before heading to NYC, I did lots of research on vintage stores because how can you not go shopping in one of the leading fashion cities in the world? L Train Vintage stood out to me because of its super cheap prices, store size, and wide variety. It didn't disappoint either with retro string jackets from the 70s and blouses that look like they lived a history- and the prices are CHEAP- average is $6-$10, and the more fancy you get the higher the price but undoubtedly still cheap (for example a large fur coat was $25). This store carries jeans, coats, jackets, sweaters, blouses, accessory bags, and LOTS of denim!!!!!! read more

I almost want to keep this place a secret, but, finally, a great thrift store in NYC! Most are overpriced, have surly service, and are too picked through or have too little inventory to be of use. No Relation Vintage is huge, with lots of good items, and very reasonable prices. The staff are friendly. They even had a live punk show during the opening. read more

So many vintage clothes and so many to choose from for very very good prices. They have a mix of everything (clothes wise) but the they lacked in the shoe/sneaker department. It's also a huge store and it's kept pretty clean. I didn't check out the women's side but they have dress rooms where you can try on their vintage apparel. This store is absolutely terrible now, used to be a great store but up until about last year they changed for the worst, the clothing supply they get is terrible now as nothing rare or quality seems to make the racks anymore and they raised the prices on almost everything they have now which is garbage. Don't come here if you are looking for high end vintage because they don't have it. I will not be coming to this store anymore as it is a waste of time. The clothes were very 70s and 80s. The prices were very reasonable - mostly $10 and $8, dipping down to $5. The quality was mixed. Some material was very thin, and very old styles. If you are a typically small person, they won't have many dresses for you. Everything is very long - the skirts and dresses. Vintage and retro. No skinny jeans here! The place was big, seperated into men's and women's. Pretty cool shoes and bags. Take time to come here. You have to look through the racks. The sweaters and shirts looked promising, as I was mostly looking for skirts and dresses. If you are looking for modern clothing, they don't have a lot, but if you like vintage and retro - the quality matches the prices here. Gotta dig deep for good stuff. read more

However, there were are definitely a few items throughout the racks that are still bold, yet tame enough for your timid dresser. The prices here are great. I walked away with a light blue denim jacket for $15, and my boyfriend got a great-looking pair of lightly-used Nikes for $20. The store is divided into sections of related items on racks. They have a sizable denim jacket selection, a surprisingly big number of jerseys (not of well-known teams, mind you), and a wide selection of vibrant button downs. Today I came here with a group of friends. Upon entering, the cashier asked for my black friend to hand over his bag while we shopped. He was the only person asked to give them his bag, and also was the only fully black person in our group. We didn't think much of it at first because I am also a person of color and was not asked to give them my bag. However, when I went to try on some clothing, I was asked to leave my bag outside the dressing room. I politely obliged, but I asked my white friends if they were ever asked to do this and they said no. Additionally, after looking around we noticed that all of the other people in the store had their bags. My friend asked the cashier why he was the only one asked to give his bag and the cashier rudely snapped at him and didn't give him an actual answer. As we left, the cashier slammed the door behind us, but reopened it after we walked away. At another location I have seen a T-shirt with a confederate flag on it hanging on display. I was shocked and offended but thought maybe it was supposed to be ironic, however now I am not so sure. Looking at the other reviews for both this location and other locations, this seems to be a regular complaint. At this day and age it is important to be as open and accepting as possible, and one would think that this store, located in one of the most diverse cities in America, would understand that. I love it here! It's pretty much the clothing store of the 'cool kids' in nyc. But it's understandable; all the clothes fit that vintage vibe (and most are vintage. I got the funniest Christmas sweater with shoulder pads!) and the urban looks that fit the style of kids living in the city. Plus pretty much everything is incredibly cheap, the most I've paid for something here was $30 for a huge cozy military jacket. Best thrift and vintage store I have ever been to. Seriously well organized and priced very fairly. Amazing selection. Even for a huge guy like me at 6 foot 330 I had plenty of choices. Ended up with a Wilson leather jacket easily worth 400 for 35 bucks! Also bought a pair of leather pants for 25! I realize starting to sound like I was shopping for a trip to the blue oyster leather man bar in police academy, maybe I was, don't judge me! Lol. But the selection of everything was amazing.
