She asked if the shelf was empty, even though that's exactly why I was asking for help. When I thanked her and walked away, she made a unnecessary comment about what I was buying. Customer service isn't for everyone, but there's no reason to be rude to customers who are simply asking for help.

They do have some name brands these days, but they won't be cheaper compared to other stores. The Aldi finds isle is a fun seasonal section with bargains. I like to stop here for the occasional fresh item like raspberries which are usually a fair amount cheaper than other local stores. They have an obvious lack of selection as it's a small store, but they do have decent store brands. Are you going to do all your shopping here? Not likely. But if you want to save some money, need a quick item, or are just fed up with your usual store then Aldi is worth a trip.
