Forgive me if I already shared this. I don't think I did. The cheesecake is banging. It's delicious, flavorful and goes right with some coffee. The service is on point and the place is always busy.

This place is a must if you're visiting the Tampa Bay area from the friendly service, to the welcoming open ambience dining area the food is fresh made, and the donuts and pastries are delicious. Must have one of the cheesecakes and a coffee con Leche.

I have been here a couple of times and it's pretty good. It's spacious inside with lots of indoor seating. I have only had their sandwiches but not their baked goods. I had the bacon egg and cheese recently and I wished they hadn't done it hot pressed because it made the bread dried out. Otherwise the food is good and is ready quickly.

First time trying La Bahia Bakery via UberEats. Unfortunately, the UberEats menu is limited. While the portions are large, the rotisserie chicken, mojo pork and empanada lacked flavor and was a bit dry. If the entrees came with a side of some kind of sauce that would have for sure made a difference and added a star to this review.

Stopped here recently while passing through. I had seen several yelp reviews and wanted to check it out for myself. I ordered a coffee and a few empanadas. The coffee was fantastic but the empanadas were just ok. The restaurant was bigger than I expected and had several patrons in line and seated and eating. I got there kinda late for breakfast but not quite lunch time. They were setting up the lunch area and I saw several dishes that looked and smelled appealing . I will certainly return and try some of those lunch dishes.

I dropped by here because I wanted a little snack. I ordered a couple items from the bakery. Somethings were good. Some things were OK. I got the croquet as well, which are very good. I got a Quito and a guava pastry. They were OK a little bit on the dry side. The service was not great. The people that were taking my order didn't care to explain some things, didn't seem like they want to answer my questions. They seem short that day. I ended up ordering online. Which works out great because I also have pictures. It is a casual place with several tables that you can bring a bunch of people to sit down and have some hickory items. It's quite cute in there.

Went on Mother's Day. It was packed and lively. I love that they serve plates of food while also having sandwiches and bakery goodies. I also love that they have flancocho it was so good and moist! The Pio Pio sandwich was delicious and the pan de água was toasted to perfection. Will definitely be back. Plenty of parking in the plaza and tons of folks also ordering pick up.

Impressed with the servings and prices! Definitely worth visiting and sharing with a small group. Flavors were good and so was the service.

    1. I really love the vibes inside and outside of this bakery. The inside gives rustic modern Latin vibes. There is plenty of seating but it seems very busy behind the counter and although it seemed as if the staff spoke little English I had no problems ordering my food. 2. The staff was very nice and the lady that plated my food was very nice and friendly, the young man behind the register was very helpful and even suggested the freshly made drinks. 3. The food was good also. I highly recommend the freshly made mango drink and the flan chocolate cake. The flan cake was moist and had a delightful sweetness. The macaroni salad was delicious as well, the white rice was very good and a bit salty for me. The pork was moist and delicious and so was the yellow rice and beans but for me it was a bit on the salty side, although If i would have gotten the macaroni salad I think it would have balanced the food out a lot better(the plate with the white rice balanced nice with the macaroni salad). I also got the sweet plantain and it was delicious. 10 out of 10 highly recommend. Definitely will return.

I was in the area and saw this bakery and was eager to go in. I had some time before my appointment I had in the plaza so I figured I'd go in and check it out. Usually bakeries like this are on point and walking in, it smelled so good and the ambiance was nice so I was excited for my treat! I ordered a meat empanada & a slice of chocolate cake. When I bit into it, it was a cheese and pizza sauce empanada no meat & not what I ordered. It was okay but wouldn't order it again. Also the chocolate cake was so dry & underwhelming like it had been sitting there for days. I gave it three stars bc I didn't try any thing else but the two simple menu items I did try were disappointing and highly underwhelming.

Great service with a smile. Fried items not sitting in a warmer. Made fresh! Got potato ball, croquetas and pizza empanada. Also got boiled yucca, arroz con gandules and 2 different kinds of pasteles. Lots of pastries to choose from as well as drinks. Lots of things I wanted to try but gotta save it for next time!

Beef empanadas. Not much beef and not much flavor. I had to break off part of the crust to find the meat.

Delicious selection of baked goods and great cafe con leche. The coconut flan and croissant were wonderful. Friendly staff!

We were seated right away and put in our orders. I'm not sure how long exactly but it felt like a very long time for us to receive our orders, especially for a table of 4 when the restaurant was mostly empty. The server never came by to update us while we were waiting. By the time we received the food, which was an appetizer, a chicken and 2 Cuban sandwiches, the Cubans weren't very warm at all. The food was very good at least and the Sangria was delicious, but I'm disappointed in the wait and the service. I'd like to give it another chance but it this is typical then I would not continue to come.

Then we were ignored for over 5 minutes while other tables were seated and waited on. Got the idea that not speaking Spanish had something to do with it. We finally got the attention of a server. He said he wasn't our server but that he'd take care of us. He turned out to be very good. Regarding the food, we started with the empanada trio. They came out hot and crispy. The chicken and beef were good but not much filling. We didn't enjoy the pizza one at all. For meals we had the shredded pork with rice, beans and plantains and a Cuban sandwich. Our food was very good. We each ordered the lemonade. Got the bill and saw they were $7 each. Wow. Guess we should have checked the menu for prices of drinks. Not sure we'll go back inside but may get takeout in the future.

The food was absolutely excellent--full of flavor, fresh, and clearly made with care. Every dish had that authentic touch that really sets it apart. The food is mediocre at best which is such a shame because we love Cuban food and have Cuban family. The Morros weee quite dry as if they were old, the Vaca frita was tough, dry, unseasoned and filled with onions, it comes with onions normally, it was in excess. The beans were ok, but needed to be heated they were not hot. The Tostones and Sweet Plantains were perfect! In the end the best part was the space with TV's to watch the World Cup. I hope that they get better I love Cuban food and love the people. Everyone has an off day so I will give them another try.
