Me at Mi Pueblito Colombian bakery
    Vilma P.

Colombian bakery and small local Tampa restaurant. Portions of lunch and dinner where plentiful. The place was clean and food was served quickly. Selection was not large but enough. The inside was small. It got a bit noisy but clients and employee alike seemed happy. Located in a small strip plaza.

Came here to grab some Colombian bakery goodies. I've had better pan de bono. It is not as spongy creamy here as other places. I tried almojabana which are similar to pan de bono(cheesy rolls) They said they were cheesier. I didn't think so and I didn't like the just bread texture versus the usual pan de bono texture. We also tried two different alfajores which would be dulce de Leche filled short bread round cookies - one topped with raspberry and one surrounded by coconut. I have had better. Lastly passion fruit mousse, yes sounds amazing to me, but meh. All in all, a win some lose some kinda experience.

Price of #24 on the menu is different on the check

We're repeat customers. Food is of the best of the many Colombian options in the area, however today's experience wasn't pleasant at the moment of paying. Upon seeing the check, we noticed the grilled chicken breast is priced on their menu at $13.99, but check said $15.99. I disputed why and their answer was that it's an old menu and that a manager wasn't available to adjust. I paid the $15.99 and didn't let this affect the tip for the waiter, however this left a "bad taste" with the management.

Love coming here for lunch. They have a special for everyday which includes soup and salad. The portions are big and it doesn't kill your pockets. I recommend this place to anyone who loves Caribbean or Latin food.

We came in looking for a quick breakfast, and this was definitely the best choice we could have made. The bakery section which operates in conjunction with the sit down restaurant section, had an array of Colombian pastries, fried foods, and a coffee that was pure perfection. The coffee was $1.50 for a medium, but they had cafe con leche, cappuccino, espresso, the works. We decided on grabbing a little of everything, so we had a few empanadas, (amazing) a buñuelo, (5 star) and a pan de bono (you guessed it, perfect.) While the sitting dishes appeared amazing on the other diners' plates, we can say for sure that for a quick grab and go, this bakery has exactly what you'd want

I am so glad that I found this place. I was craving some Latino food, particularly breakfast, and of course I had to open my favorite app, Yelp. I got a breakfast that could cure any hangover: mixed rice/beans, eggs, and steak it was all to die for. The steak was tender, flavorful, and overall perfectly grilled. The eggs were fluffy and seasoned, and the rice and beans made me feel... comfy :) Oh! And the arepa with cheese tied it all together and broke up the richness of it all. Definitely will be a repeat customer. No doubt about it.

Typically Sunday after church at Mi Pueblito.

The inside is a decent size with tables, cute decor and lots of plants. When I first walked in, I was taken back by how beautiful the pastry display cases were!! I had the hardest time choosing which pastry to get because they all looked like works of art!! Super friendly staff, great service but now to get to the goods: the coffee and pasties. This is a true authentic French bakery, no doubt in my mind. The iced salted caramel latte is the best I have EVER had. I could taste every flavor and it blended with the coffee perfectly. The ham and cheese croissant was so flakey, the perfect ham ratio and just all around fantastic. The pastry I got had raspberry jam and white chocolate ganache (I don't remember the name of it) and it was seriously the best pastry I've ever had. Most pastries can be too sweet, but this was just right. The jam tasted fresh and homemade (probably is!) and the white chocolate ganache gave it just a touch of sweetness. It is a little pricey so be warned: $48 for two coffees and two pastries. Definitely worth a splurge!!

They have four locations, and we went to the one in the Ybor City Historic District. La Segunda is an institution for Cuban bread and pastries, baking 18K loaves daily and ships nationwide via Goldbelly. Our niece's BF is Cuban, and he said buy anything with guava. In the box (see photo), we bought two each of guava flip (kind of a folded tart or empanada), guava turnover, and guava flip with cream cheese. All of them are delicious! I like the flaky guava turnovers the most even though they didn't survive the transportation across the country in my backpack as well as some of the others. Even though slightly crumbly, still yummy! I also bought butter cookies, sold by the pound. Those are relatively ordinary; I'll skip those in the future. Next time, we are carrying Cuban sandwiches home! I really wish I carried them home. I was having Cuban sandwich withdrawal. This location is older but functional; there isn't seating. Their customers know what they want, and everything moves FAST. If it's your visit (like it was for us), I suggest looking at the menu online to know what to order. The service is friendly, even though I can tell he was a bit exasperated that I didn't just yell out my order and I asked questions. I honestly don't fault him. Busy places have their own pace, and the customers are the ones to keep up. That's perfectly ok.

Paris Baguette has EVERYTHING I love. Cake. Latte. Bread. Pastries. What more can a woman ask for???!!! I was already swooning over the photos and menu options seen on Yelp and Google, but TASTING is BELIEVING and now I'm so glad that I can say it's everything I hoped it would be. It's like a little piece of Paris right here in Tampa! (I've been). So I've come for cake, stayed for latte and quiche, and because why not, threw in the salad so that lunch and dinner is taken care of, too! Okay, first off...what I got. The quiche is light and airy, and is basically a croissant with quiche filling instead of a quiche slice. I love croissants, so this was a nice treat for me that I could hold in my hand. The Salted Caramel Latte I thought was pretty unique, because yes, there's a PRETZEL on top of it (which I plucked off and ate the first thing when I got it. Tasted rich and delicious, and was a great companion for my food. Now, usually I don't bat so much as an eye for a salad, but that Korean beef salad looked fresh and yummy, and it would definitely take care of dinner for the day because, why not, while I'm out? It was a decent size too, not too filling, with a good variety of veggies such as cukes, carrots, tomatoes, on top of mixed greens with Korean beef, which was the only heavy thing on the salad so you don't feel weighed down. It's great to know if you're watching your waist line or caloric intake, Paris Baguette has you covered with no problem as the nutrition facts are listed on the menu so you can make an informed choice. Of course, their cakes are so good, you wouldn't help but want to indulge. Which brings me to my final point. When I saw MOCHA CAKE on the menu, I thought, OMG I have to have it!!! It's EVERYTHING I could want and more and I must ask WHY ISN'T MOCHA CAKE MORE OF A THING NOW???? The sponge cake was light and airy like a coffee cloud as was the buttercream, not too sweet, rounding out my whole meal in nice elegant, finish. The shop itself is cute, but Muffin and I ate outside since the outside area is dog friendly. It reminds me of those open-air cafes in Europe, especially in Paris, elevating my lunch experience with my dog. The staff is super nice and welcoming on approach, too. It's a bit of a drive for me, but it's really not THAT bad depending on when I go and the business hours help, too. Unfortunately, the pizza was disappointing. The meat lovers pizza appeared to contain only sausage and pepperoni, despite being described as including bacon and ham as well. The overall quality and flavor reminded me more of cafeteria-style pizza than what I expected from a restaurant with Alessi's long-standing reputation. The 1912 salad, while fresh, priced at $16 for a large, also felt overpriced for both the portion size and ingredients. It consisted primarily of lettuce with a few strips of ham and salami and a small amount of finely shredded cheddar cheese. The Asian chicken salad offered a bit more substance, but by 11:00 a.m. they had apparently run out of the Thai dressing and substituted Italian dressing instead. The replacement dressing did not complement the salad well. Whether it was house-made or purchased, it tasted like a standard bottled dressing, and a more suitable alternative would have greatly improved the dish. The pastries were the highlight of the meal and the one aspect that truly stood out. Going forward, we'll likely stick to what Alessi is best known for and skip the rest. After spending approximately $120, I expected a much better overall experience. Given Alessi's excellent reputation and years in business, this visit simply did not live up to expectations.
