Definitely will be back! The service was wonderful and the food was banging. Everything is fresh to order. Ambiance is very casual but clean. Would recommend you trying them out.

It was so much fun meeting a friend here at lunch time. My friend is from Puerto Rico & confirmed this is one of the best places around. I ordered 2 alcapurrias for starters. I love Puerto Rican food, but I never heard of alcapurrias until today. The outer shell is made from a plantain masa. The inside is loaded with seasoned ground beef. This then gets fried & arrives piping hot. It started off tasting great, but for some unexplainable reason, the more I ate the tastier it got. I also tried a Coco Frio which is like a coconut soda. Very good! Finally I had a "guava & cheese mallorca". Think pillowy donut loaded with guava & cream cheese. The meal was decadent & so fun & so tasty.

The inside of this bakery is cozy and not flashy, but man, the food is good!

So, so delicious! We went out of our way to get some yummy pan sobao, and this lovely bakery did not disappoint. Delicious, soft, flavorful breads galore, and the beef empanadas....wow! So good! Flavors are authentic, taking me back to my childhood on la Isla. Prices are super reasonable too, and the service is friendly, quick, and caring. If you are visiting Tampa, it is well worth thr Uber ride out here to enjoy this lovely place. And if you're local and can come here every day? I'm jealous! :)

Was amazing!!! A bit of a drive, but well worth it. They were so nice will be back for sure. !

This place is a must if you're in the area. It's in a shopping center so there is plenty parking options. They serve delicious breakfast options and baked goodies! Their staff is friendly and welcomes you with a smile. I ordered a breakfast sandwich on their sweet bread and I highly recommend it .

It was with great anticipation that I visited this Puerto Rican Bakery. I grew up on the island with a foodie father before foodie was a word. We traveled the island extensively tasting everything it had to offer. So my expectations were bubbling over at the thought of some home cooking. Unfortunately, there was not a single item that I ordered that I can brag about or recommend. Sadness filled my soul and I went home knowing I would never return. Sancocho was mediocre at best, half the size of their competitors and woeful in texture and flavor, likely the worst I've had. Next a childhood delicacy and favorite a buttered and pressed Mayorca w/ Powdered Sugar was a terrible simile of the real deal. The sandwiches lacked substance w/ very little protein between the bread and the meats I chose (pastrami & mortadella) were pathetic and cheap versions of the coldcuts I love. Another delicacy, the Alcapurria while their best dish was also just edible, a food truck a mile from home makes them much much better. A saving grace for these folks might be that most people might not know what the real deal tastes like. Even the bread they call Pan de Agua which is a favorite staple on the island was nothing like the original but again, who's to know? That's All Folks!

TLDR: great baked goods decent price. This bakery was a random stop on our way to visit friends. We wanted to bring something to thank them for having us over and this bakery was perfect. We ordered a variety of pastries along with a small cake and large loaf of bread. The bread was so soft and plentiful. The cake was quite sweet and perfect to share with a couple of friends as a small piece was all you need to satisfy a sweet tooth. All of the pastries looked amazing but I tried the guava and cheese danish which was very tasty! They also offer a more extensive menu with eggs and sandwiches that we are looking forward to trying in the future. The interior is modest and you get a buzzer if you order longer to prepare items. There was plenty of parking and the staff was very helpful.

This is one of my favorite places. Guava donut is the star of breakfast. Hot food made quick such as meat and eggs. Everything is fresh and tasty.

I stopped in for lunch. My Flan Vanilla was perfect. Being a foodie the Cubano pork meat was very dry. However, the pork has a lot of flavor. Would revisit and try something different

    Beans with the chicken lunch

Absolutely fantastic chicken lunch. They've recently added Chicken Guisado to their lunch menu (yes, I had to look on facebook to see what it was actually called). I kept calling it chicken stew and the employee wanted to make sure I knew it wasn't a soup, but pieces of chicken. I think I saw the video on facebook of one of their other lunch options, which does look like a stew, and that stuck with me. They have a pork, steak or chicken lunch option that comes with a salad, beans and a bottle of water. It's a steal and it's delicious. I mentioned to the employee that I don't eat pork and asked if the chicken dish had pork in it. He said no, but I'm pretty sure the beans it comes with does. This place loves its pork (which makes sense since it is a Puerto Rican bakery). Just double check about the beans if you don't eat pork either. Everything I ate was delicious, even the rice that came with it. I did eat the beans, picking out the meat, and the beans were superb. The chicken was so juicy and flavorful. I was absolutely stuffed after I ate everything. The salad was basically iceburg lettuce and tomatoes, but it did make the meal seem more balanced. There is seating outside, but each table is small and only fits two chairs. It's shaded so eating outside at the end of June at noon actually didn't feel hot. There were a ton of people coming and going around noon on a Monday. I understand how this place survived the pandemic, it has a loyal following. It seems like most people grab food to go. I really enjoyed my meal here. I'll definitely come back to try more food!

This bakery is home for me. It's brings me back to growing up in Luquillo, eating farina before school, a quesito/donut after school. They have pan sobao and great breakfast deals. Everyone is sooo nice and they have plenty of sweets to pick from. The coffee is !! Plenty of parking in this plaza. I highly recommend it!

They have a lot of bakery options for being so small! My son loves their passionfruit juice! Their BLTs hit the spot for a quick bit to eat.

After my Puerto Rican coworker insisted I visit this truck, we decided to make a special visit. I…read morecouldn't visualize seeing the truck in the past, but he insisted it was there - on the left hand side when heading to Tampa, AFTER the bait-and-tackle truck. We almost missed it. We managed to screech our way in and wandered up to the truck. The first thing that we noticed was the music that was playing was ridiculously loud, we had a difficult time standing by the menu to decide what to order. There is a single table outside but that's it, you'll probably end up eating in your car. There were 4 of us, so we ordered a variety of things and were able to taste each others. As a run down for what we got: Tostones - Unsalted, and dry. They gave us salt packets, but they were too moist to use. The sauce they came with was delicious, it's the same sauce that comes with everything. Crab and Beef Empanandillas - The crab reminded me somewhat of a deviled crab cake, but obviously a different outside and less spicy. It was really delicious. The beef was ridiculous though. Loved every bite of it, and each of us fought over it. Skirt Steak - This was probably the tastiest thing we ordered. It's skirt steak, so it wasn't precisely tender but the flavor was amazing. It came with rice and beans which were incredible. It also came with a "salad" but I'm hard pressed to call it that. Onion Steak - This one is more than enough for two people. It was a huge serving of meat, sauteed onions and of course rice and beans. It was okay, we were all spoiled by the skirt steak. Grilled Chicken Mofongo - We weren't exactly sure what to expect, but we ordered it. Mofongo is a plantain dish, but again it was really dry and kinda bland. We only took a few bites of it. The chicken was decent, I liked it a lot but I seemed to be the only one. I'm not sure how it's supposed to be, but I guess I feel like there should be some sort of sauce to accompany it. Overall - if we were in the area and hungry, we would definitely stop again for the skirt steak or empanadillas, but we wouldn't send someone there or go out of our way. Perhaps we're just too American!

Sit on the plastic tables and chairs loosely set by the truck, or eat out of your car. Regardless Sabor del Caribe certainly does bring the street vendor feel to your gastronomical experience. The menu is not a lengthy extravaganza, however every item, they do served, is a plateful of delicious goodies. The Empanadas are piping hot, perfectly balanced fried without excess grease and stuffed full of your choice of meat - pork or beef. The pork plate is served with tender chunks of pork - which at the first taste exude aromas and tenderness only - if you had a Puerto Rican grandma, would cook. The rice and beans that accompany are steeped in equal aromatics and explosive taste on every bite. The prices are reasonable and balance the quality of food. They folks operating the truck have heavy accents but are very friendly to order to and will even explain the dishes to you. During my visit, I was the only non-spanish speaking patron but I did not feel out of place or alienated. The other patrons struck up a conversation with me that was wonderful. At the end I left feeling I just spent the 30 min at a true by the busy road street vendor offering a whimsy for your tastebuds.

It's a day later and I'm still thinking about this food! Wow, what an absolute GEM. The fried pork main dish was fried HARD but not dry. Just lots of crunch and flavor. The sauce it came with was perfect for dipping though.
