Great fresh seafood! Best shellfish ever! All the fish dishes was cooked perfectly. Service was great and you eat overlooking the habor! Must come her for fresh seafood. They have a seafood platter that you should try-- we just had too much already.

Barcelona. You can really appreciate the distinct flavors of Spain here. From the octopus to paella to the tomato bread, this place makes food taste delicious. There was not one dish that was bad. If your visiting, I would take the time to enjoy a wonderful dinner here.

Spent F1 weekend in Barcelona on a mission to find the best paella. This place has it! hands down the best I've ever had besides my Spaniard Uncle Miguel's. Everything was fresh and delicious. Will definitely come here again!

2 prawns and 4 shrimps. I really should've picked more

Utter chaos once you walk in, a waiter will aggressively show you fresh (live shellfish) to choose from for them to cook for you. He will pressure the table to take them all but do not give in! Only pick out what you truly want to eat. Once they serve it to you, you'll regret you didn't listen to the waiter! It's that good!! I'm from California where I brag about us having the best seafood but got quickly humbled bc the seafood from here is elite. We also ordered their seafood paella, the most basic one $19 (I think) per person but it must be 2 ppl ordering it. Delicious!! I thought I've had paella before but this is was blow my mind good.

    More still in the rice.

Although the food seemed well prepared, I did not get a chance to enjoy it, as the hurried and very rude waitstaff destroyed my meal. I had ordered the La Barca special Paella, and as soon as it arrived, our waiter stirred everything together, smashing the shells of the crustaceans and shearing off their antenna. I tried picking them out of my food, but they were scattered throughout the dish completely. It was inedible. I recommend going literally anywhere else.

I want to give zero stars to this place but I have to be honest with my review: food is good! But unfortunately when you go to a restaurant you expecting a good service which this place does not have: the host basically expected us to guess which table to get, that was to start. We were standing next to 2 tables and the guy left and didn't even told us where to sit. After speaking to someone else they take us to another table and the waiter was nice and helpful , food good. The worst part is that they were very busy and they need our table for a group was coming and basically they started fixing everything next to us in a very rude way. They took one of our tables and we have to leave before expecting. I DO NOT RECOMMEND you to come here if service is important for you.

I came here last Saturday for lunch with friends. We ate A LOT. We ordered a big ass plate of assorted seafood as "appetizer", it was so big that we didn't know if we were going to be able to eat the paella lol but we did finish everything! The guy who served us was pretty attentive and was always there talking and joking with us. I usually finish everything because I eat a lot but I was so full I had to unbutton my pants lol in the pics the dishes may look small but in person they were pretty big.

Our new favorite Paella spot‼Ideal for any type of groups/occasions, La Barca offers high-quality ingredients, generous portions, and an inviting atmosphere. Our server provided great service and complimentary dishes whenever possible - who doesn't love that? Located on the pier (though no direct sea views), you must visit at least once in BCN! Special Paella "La Barca" (Lobster, Crayfish, Monkfish, Clams, Prawns): delicious! However, we think it's overpriced -€35- compared to other better choices Seafood Paella: THIS is what you must order. My God. We could eat this all day long Tomatoes & Garlic Butter Bread: this is really the best bread we've had here.. soft, warm, flavorful. * Plate of Iberian Salchichón: our server included this for us since we ordered the bread, and we liked it a lot as a cold starter! Whiskey Cake & Mascarpone Cake w/ Berries: we were not a fan of these both, but others at the table seemed to like them. We'd recommend going for other dessert choices instead Pound Cakes w/ Whiskey Shots: not sure if this is the name of the dish since it's not on the menu, but our server gave this as a complimentary dessert. Turned out to be the best choice out of all three! *Follow my food ig for more reviews! @internationalfoodieclub*

It's very clearly a bunch of pre cooked rice into which they throw whatever you order. The grilled seafood platters may be your best bet, as a chance to just get a good piece of seafood. That was the only diner at our table who really seemed to enjoy his meal. The place appears to have hundreds of seats and be able to turn tables over really quickly, and their emphasis appears to be strongly on "feed tourists quickly". So why four stars? They do a lot to give you value for money. Just sat down? Free glass of cava. Menu prices, food and drink, emphasize low cost, it's easy to have a ton of food and drink for under 50 Euro. End of the meal? Shot of limoncello-like herbal liqueur. Don't want a whole dessert? Complementary tray of olive oil cake. And a refill on that liqueur. On that basis, it's a pretty good overall dinner experience and we weren't unhappy. Just don't come here if you aren't motivated by alcohol.

They also gave us bread and tomatoes to make our own pan con tomate. Everything tasted very fresh, and it was a nice ambience, in covered open air seating right along the beach. One thing is they also directed a magician to come over at our table to do some tricks, which was very entertaining but not necessarily something we wanted to stay for, but I guess we got the full tourist experience! Overall, a nice spot for a nice dinner.

Oh my goodness this is so good. If I ever go to Barcelona again I would come here…read more Must get: Steak with foie gras on bread 8/10: sooo decadent and luxurious. It's abt 8 euros a piece. Very flavorful and fast experience. Oxtail and mashed potatoes 10/10: the oxtail meet is so tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes pair so well with the oxtail. Mushroom, steak, and egg yolk 9/10: soo flavorful and balance of veggies and protein. Amazing textures and flavors. Sparkling sangria: 8/10 I don't normally live the taste of alcohol but this was great. Not tooooo strong and if tastes pretty good if you mix it with the orange juice. Fresh orange juice: 10/10 so tangy and delicious. I can't recommend it enough. Patatas bravas: 9/10 solid no complaints! Dessert Tapas: - bread dessert (Tarija): 11/10 amazing dessert that is creamy, cameralized, and has a mochi like texture. This fried chewy dessert is not too sweet and such an affordable price. - coconut pudding 9/10 solid and refreshing if you like flan - bread, chocolate oil, salt 7/10: I live the complex flavors. The chocolate mousse was light and the bread to mousse ratio was perfect. It's a smaller dessert tho I wouldn't recommend it if ur sharing. Service: amazing! Staff I'm everywhere so it was very easy to order more food. Also we were sitting buy the area where they made dessert and they allowed me to record them making it!! Comfortable ambiance great for date night or casual meals!!!

This is the first restaurant I stopped at for some tapas during my trip to Barcelona and it spoiled…read moreme. I ordered a few things so let me talk about each one. Ham & Chicken Croquette: This was too good for how small it was. Just a nice potato croquette filled with some great quality ham and chicken. It was akin to a cordon bleu. White Asparagus with Baby Beans and Ham: This one floored me. Tender white asparagus in a vinegar based sauce with some tender ham and beans. I could have had two orders of this. Pulpo (Octopus) with Pork Belly: Not the best Pulpo of the trip but it sure set the standard. The octopus was unbelievably tender and you can just taste how fresh it is. The pork belly slice almost felt like an odd choice here to be honest. I didn't really know how to eat it with the pulpo since it overpowered it. The pork belly itself wasn't very impressive either so I kinda brushed it off at the end. It was a bit dry at some parts and just kept throwing me off. Gambas roja a la plancha: Prawns are EVERYWHERE here and they know how to cook them. These were tasty but not the freshest or most flavorful I had this trip either. Always eat the shell! Scallops a la plancha in a leek-apple based sauce with bits of crisped ham: This dish on its own makes this place a 5. The sauce is DIVINE. It's a little sweet and creamy to contrast the savory, perfectly cooked scallops swimming in it. The crunchy bits of ham give you a nice texture surprise with some much needed salt to balance it all out. These scallops practically melted in my mouth with each bite. This is a must try. Beef filet and foie gras montadito: Basically steak and foie gras on a toasty slice of bread. Honestly? This was the weakest dish here. The steak itself was just okay and I didn't really like the foie gras. It was like a very gamey butter. I'm sure it has its applications but it just felt like too much going on here. I'd pass on it. Chocolate in 3 textures: So for dessert I wanted chocolate so I went for the choco bomb. It was okay. I guess the three textures were the ganache, mousse, and wafers? It just reminded me of an elevated chocolate wafer bar like one from Loaker. I'd also pass on this dessert. My server was lovely and the atmosphere here is vibrant. Though there were few misses I would absolutely eat here again and get the things I loved but switch up the rest. That's part of the fun in tapas anyway.

The foie gras was absolutely unforgettable--rich, delicate, and simply to die for. The sangria was equally exceptional, fresh, balanced, and dangerously delicious. But what makes this place truly special is something that can't be captured on a menu. The atmosphere, the warmth, the way time seems to slow down... words simply can't do it justice. If you're visiting Barcelona, don't just come here for dinner. Come here to fall in love with the food, the city, the moment, or maybe even someone sitting across the table. Well, the restaurant was cute and cozy with a great ambiance. With luck on our side, we found two seats at the bar and quickly ordered drinks. We ordered a pitcher of the sangria (because why not?). The sangria was delicious, refreshing, and made to order. It was definitely more authentic than what we're getting in America. We ordered the patatas bravas, tempura asparagus, the octopus, and the steak. It all came out as it became available. We couldn't decide what our favorite was, to be honest. We ordered an ice cream sandwich for dessert and quickly requested our bill. We didn't want to hold the staff up as we noticed they were cleaning the establishment and people were finishing up. Overall, what a great experience for our first meal in Barcelona! Cute and hidden gem.
