We were returning from our daughter's home in Lutherville on a Sunday afternoon, fancied Italian cuisine , and recalled the LA Bella Italia in Littlestown. We'd been to their location on York Street in Gettysburg, but never here. The front parking lot is tight and funky, but we found numerous safe and spacious spots behind the building which is what I'd recommend. Apparently the process is to take a menu and find a seat which is whatvwe did. I'd suggest sitting in the mid section (not too close to the bathroom( or in the rear, because people awaiting take out orders seemed to be perched on the tables near the front counter and kitchen area. I got 20 inch regular stromboli in order to have leftovers for the next day. The servers were attentive and friendly, not at all irritated or entitled. This restaurant seemed much quieter than its York street counterpart, although I'd not consider it "intimate" in any sense, unless perhaps we were alone there. There were 2 large screen televisions on different channels, but at least they weren't blaringly loud. The food was quite tasty, and I had more than enough for another meal or two. I don't believe there was outdoor seating which wouldn't be enjoyable anyway due to all the traffic. Good Italian food in a clean store, moderately priced, with friendly service. We'll be back, and shan't even consider parking anywhere but out back! read more

Lousy microwaved appetizer (pepperoni roll) like rubber. Made our meal wrong, came out to say they were remaking it... waited a half hour and no replacement came out. They never replaced it and gave a hassle about a refund.... Sad to say but.... Dominoes is better. Heck even McDonald's would have been better. read more

Outstanding!! Reviews weren't wrong. Cheesesteak was very good and cheeseburger sub was also very good. Italian cold cut was huge with quality meat and cheese. Pepperoni pizza was great. Subs were all good sized and rolls were fresh and tasty. Worth the 1/2 hour one way drive. Huge menu we will be back to try. Those fees are tax deductible as a business expense so why am I paying extra because I use a credit card? Those fees are part of the cost of doing business! The food was really good, it had a nice atmosphere and our server, Stacy was friendly, kind and had a good sense of humor. My only regret is, I don't know if I'll be back that way again. Generally I really like Bella's food is good and at a good price. But today I came in and 1- NO one was in the restaurant... so this isn't an issue of being over worked. Placed an order and at the end decided to change the soda from a 1.25 bottle to a $2.25 fountain drink. You would have thought I asked for the girl's left arm. I used to love this place. Customer service has gone way down hill. The wait times are longer than what you are told on the phone, and sometimes when you call you can't even get through. Most recently I placed an order, arrived when they told me it would be ready, and was told there was no order. When I made the phone call, I was given a total, asked "is this Chris?" (So they obviously have my number saved), and gave me an order number. When I arrived, they claimed there is no order. The lady at the counter sarcastically suggested "did you call our Gettysburg location?" No. I did not. I have your number saved in my phone. I've been buying food here 1-2 times per week for years. I've literally spent thousands of dollars at this business as a customer. I'm a regular, and I was treated like they had never heard of me. If this is how you treat your loyal customers, I will be buying pizza elsewhere. The only reason you get two stars is because the food is so good. Your employees? Not so much. This restaurant was FANTASTIC!!! Upon entering the lobby, we were met with warmth and welcome. Service was almost immediate as we sat. Claudio was our server. He was most attentive and took excellent care of us while we visited his restaurant. He definitely made us feel important as we as customers should feel. The food came in a timely manner and was still hot from the kitchen. I had a pizza; my wife had Penne with meat sauce. Everything was Excellent. The pizza was very flavorful. Food is consistently good. The staff isn't nearly on that level. They screw up call in orders and get an attitude when you point it out. The last time we ordered they told us to pick up in 30 minutes. Exactly 30 minutes later showed up, when we got home (5 minutes) food was cold and clearly had been sitting for a while. When we brought it to the managers attention, he had no answer other than we should have picked it up sooner. The cold pizza and lasagna will be the last thing we eat from here. Too bad. I've lived here in littlestown for 26 years now. Every time I order from this place I get rude people and I know they've changed people many of times. The foods okay but the service is bad. When someone says "speak up I can't hear you" in their first sentence you know there's not an inch of respect to be found. That was todays experience ontop of a condescending attitude. The pizza was ok, but the mushrooms had a nasty vinigery taste. I'd also like to state that for two large pizza with two toppings in June and one in the other (3 in total) on special brought the price from 20 to 30 dollars. Remember that's on special. I looked at the other reviews and I wonder how it's rated so high. Considering the many times I've been there and the times where their cashier couldn't do simple math or how rudely they say our pizza down (spillinggreese on my younger brother burning him in the process) I'm surprised how they can be so highly praised. I also am surprised how they'll argue when they get an order wrong for a sub when you explained it twice or if you say they overcharged and you show them the menu along with handwritten math that shows how far off they were. The reason I'm writing this after all these years is the New year's resolution I had. I decided to try things again and not be so submissive. Letting people walk all over me or letting bad people win is no longer in the cards and such I'm taking a stand. read more
