Pros: Great menu choices, nice portions, fresh food, great service. Cons: none. Our favorite restaurants in G'burg. Always clean, always your favorite itailian dishes and service is always great. Tonight or server was Caleb and our compliments to Caleb who was top end, very friendly and attentive. TonightbI had Veal Parmigana with Spaghetti. Being from Phill originally I love thier Veal Parm which has a lite crunch on the outside but tender and quick inside topped with the right amount of sauce and cheese. Was perfect. I also had a Canolli for dessert which has such i light and fluffy filling drilled with chocolate sauce, one of the best. Cya next time. read more

Absolutely amazing from start to finish! The service was outstanding--friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The food was just as incredible. Our family ordered the lamb, Tortellini alla Nonna, eggplant parmesan trio, mozzarella sticks, braised beef ravioli, fresh bread, and a white wine. We had our vehicle serviced at the dealership right up the road from this Italian restaurant and we figured to give them a call and order a large pepperoni pizza with extra cheese. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and welcoming the inside when I walked in, is very clean, very presentable and very much decorated like an Italian restaurant should be . The pizza is very good, but whoever is making it and should be aware that the center of the pizza the crust is so paper thin that it is barely there. It would be nice if they would level that center of the pizza out to be consistent with the outer edges, but overall the pizza was really good and yes, we would go back and get another one if in the area read more

We've eaten here probably a dozen times, and each occasion was a pleasant and delicious experience. Being residents of Gettysburg and not choosing to eat out today, we ordered takeout and were again pleased. I fancied an antipasta salad, and my wife Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp ( there was a lotta shrimp!) The Fettuccine came with fresh, warm garlic bread. We ordered and paid online and included a tip, knowing from previous experiences that we were in for a gustatory delight. I ordered the French dressing on my antipasta salad for a change. Both meals were ample in size for sure. La Bella does have a few tables out front for outdoor dining, however York Street (also is Route 30) is busy with tourist, truck, as well as local traffic and can get loud. Wine and beer is sold on-site, however I didn't see a full bar anywhere. The have male and female bathrooms which are clean. Our servers have always been friendly and accommodating. The parking lot is reasonably large, and there is a traffic light at the intersection, thus pulling out after eating is stress free. Outstanding! Highly recommend . Aaron our server was excellent asked if we were first time diners and explained the cook to order philosophy of the restaurant . I had the meatball & sausage platter which was very good, meatballs firm and tasty. Came with a Maryland crabmeat soup which I would order again in a heart beat. . Wife had chicken piccata which she described as the best she ever had, chicken was tender and the linguine cooked perfectly in a lemon and butter sauce . It's hard to find a great calzone! I've tried them all around the country and mostly been disappointed. I was in Gettysburg, PA recently and discovered La Bella Italia. What a pleasant surprise to find a restaurant that makes a perfect calzone! I ordered the "small" size (pictured) for about $11 which was larger and heavier than the plate! It was baked to perfection with quality ingredients in a tasty crust! It was certainly in my Top 5 favorites around the country. The rest of our group were equally pleased with their meals. The parking lot is a bit restrictive but there is parking next to the DMV next door. When you walk in you are immediately hit with the smell of a pizzeria with their ovens right up front. The service was outstanding and attentive with everything appearing to be very clean. Their beer and wine list is a bit small but they have the basics. The garlic bread was really good but the star of it was the red sauce to dip the bread, amazing. The penne carbonara was very good and creamy. The only thing I'm upset about is not getting to try their pizza. read more

Went here during our visit to Gettysburg. Kids split a medium pizza (had 1 slice leftover). We ordered the calamari, chicken marsala, and braised beef ravioli. The calamari was great, and the chk marsala was good too but a little oily. The braised beef ravioli was fantastic - easily the best of our selections. For dessert we all split the lava cake and tiramisu. I wasn't expecting too much considering our location but the food and service here was a pleasant surprise. Perfect spot after a day of exploring the battlefields! Also a plus is the parking, as it is not located right downtown. The ambiance is sweet, Italian villa. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. The Grilled Chicken Milano was incredible, and they have a tasty variety of deserts. We had their Tiramisu of course, and a light Limoncello Cake. This was my first time ordering from here. I noticed it many times as I was driving through town for business. I decided to grab an antipasto salad before I headed out of town. I called the order in and I was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. It was ready when promised. The place was clean, the staff was friendly and for a Monday morning, you could tell that they were already starting to get busy. The antipasto was filled with meat, cheeses, mushrooms, cucumbers, green peppers, and tomatoes. The lettuce was fresh and crisp. I got the house Italian dressing, which had a nice flavor to it. I will come back again and order the salad! I will have enough to eat for dinner this evening as well! read more

La Bella Italiana was a fashionable, intelligent restaurant. I went here on a Gettysburg trip with 17 other people. One thing that surprised me was that they had an open table for enough people for all of us plus our 3 chaperones. The food took a long, long while to be prepared, but to be fair, the food was for 20 total people and was served by one waiter. I greatly enjoyed the food and it was some of the best pizza I've ever had. Needless to say, I would rather go here than not. I would come back, highly recommended. read more

I can only speak for the pizza, but it was fantastic. My coworker brought a pie for our lunch break. Extremely fresh and cooked perfectly. It was on a whim but they were able to get it out quickly for us which we really appreciated. I will definitely consider dining-in sometime in the near future. La Bella tips: Plain cheese pizza with extra sauce and extra cheese is a game changer. Delicious. You can't beat it. Other sub shops will charge more and you get less. La Bella's hot and cold subs are both amazing. I think they make the bread in house because you can't buy these rolls anywhere. I just got a cold Italian with hot pepper relish. It was awesome. On a day I feel like I don't really want to cook I will order a large sub and can have 2 meals out of it. At $10.99 that's a pretty great deal. I was going to the new sub shop just outside of town that everyone raves about and it's $16 for the same size sub and you have to wait around for them to cut the meat. The "special" sub is the hot sub I get and it's piled with meat. I also get the pasta dinners which comes with a salad and bread. This is a good option if you want to treat yourself. I order take out so my review is based on me bringing food back to my place. read more
