The food can certainly take longer to get out when they're not there. Tara is an amazing waitress--she has such a fun personality, makes us feel right at home, and practically knows our order by heart. We always enjoy chatting with her! Trina is just as wonderful and is fantastic with our kids as well. It's rare to find servers who are this genuine and attentive. They truly make every visit top notch! We bought our tickets to the event when we arrived. Tickets for tours are also available. After walking through the store and the rows of wooden barrels from floor to ceiling, you find yourself in a small area with a big bar. The event price includes one cocktail of your choice. I chose the Oh Peachy and later purchased a pecan old-fashioned; both were delicious! Unfortunately, the food truck broke down, so there was no food available!! Big Mike was performing in the big lodge room; the acoustics are pretty bad, especially once people start talking, but at least it was cool in there, We spent a lot of time in the store and ended up purchasing a fused bottle of whiskey to split. It was fun, deciding which cork stopper to get to add to my daughter's collection. The store has different sizes and shapes of a wooden court display boards; in the shape of Texas. The golf course surrounding the distillery, looks beautiful and well taken care of.

The live music was really great too- perfect for any calm hang out with friends. They also do tours of the distillery but we didn't do that part. Note: they do last call at 9pm but they abruptly also close at 9pm so we were very quickly kicked out and closed down by 9 which was odd- but hey now we know.

My partner and I shared (2) samplings so that we could try nearly everything on the menu. We enjoy the artichoke, spinach dip as an accompaniment to the tasting and then took a glass outdoors to enjoy the swing out back. I will become a regular here and I found out Wednesday is happy hour prices. Reds for $6 and white for $5 a glass. Susan took care of us and she was amazing!! She allowed us to taste the wines to make sure we liked our final selection. She answered all our questions and educated my friend on the different types of wine because she was a beginner wine drinker. We also learned that all the wines they serve are Lost Oak's. Even though we got there at 7:20 and they closed at 8pm she didn't rush us and took her time serving us. My friend got a white wine and I got the cabernet franc. We both enjoyed them. The establishment is beautiful, the have seating outside and inside. They also have games and a wine club you can join. Can't wait to go back especially when the weather is a little cooler so we can use their fire pits.
