5 stars BUT Leroy SUCKS Went to La Bella's and Anna plus the rest of the staff were awesome. Good vibes, good service, no issues at all... until Leroy decided to power trip for absolutely no reason. Dude kicked us off our table because we "weren't playing pool" even though literally nobody needed the table and it stayed empty and unused the rest of the night. If people were waiting, cool, understandable. But kicking paying customers out just to leave it sitting there empty is clown behavior. Big shoutout to Anna and the actual good staff there, but Leroy seriously killed the vibe for no reason. Management might wanna figure out why one employee thinks he's the Pool Table Police. Made us take our food to go, will be back but i will dog on Leroy until he's fired. read more

The name "La Bella" means "the beautiful." I've been coming to La Bella Pizza for many years and got a chance to meet Kitty Raso she was such a lovely lady. We always enjoy their meat lovers pizzas, but today we decided to order their Original Lasagna a 1955 Recipe with Meatballs, Boiled Eggs, Mozzarella, Ricotta & Parmesan 4.5/5 stars. We also decided to order their Original Buffalo Wings. La Bella's have upped their game on these chicken wings they were very crispy with a lot of flavor. We were out for an event in Chula. Vista area. We ran into a coworker and he recommended La Bella. It was super crowded but we decided to go anyway because it was highly recommended. The staff was friendly and attentive. The place was busy and we didn't have a reservation so I didn't get a chance to sit inside or look but I heard they had an arcade. The outdoor tables were a bit crowded together but it seated us all fine. People did have to get up for each other when another group had to leave sometimes but it wasn't a big deal. The pizza was really good. We ordered a salami, sausage and mushrooms pizza. Although the mushrooms were a bit hidden the pizza itself had the right ratio of sauce and crust. We were going elsewhere but they were closed since it was Monday. We wandered down 3rd St and saw La Bella. The place is bigger than we thought, but since we had Cako, we sat on the front patio. The young girls were friendly and I guess, since we were eating outside, I paid first and one of them brought it all out. We ordered a pepperoni pizza, interesting that the pepperonis were under the cheese. The pizza was delicious! I ordered a meatball sub to share and this was really good too! It was pleasant outside and they had can soda. The only think I didn't like was that we felt like we were a to go order and not customers. It has an old school Italian restaurant vibe. We got a large pizza, large side of cheesy bread, and a small Caesar salad. Ordering was easy at the counter and our food was ready within 15 minutes. The portions were big which helped to justify the price point (large specialty pizza was $35, large side of cheesy bread was $9.50, and small side of Caesar salad was $8.50). I went to this location at 11:25 am, today Sunday March 8 and ordered a pastrami sandwich. The cashier was kind of rude/abrupt when I asked her if the meat was moist or dry and she said, "I don't know", told her I don't like it dry. Also told her I just wanted mustard and pickles, and she reply, and quote, well it comes with whatever it comes? I was bothered by her answer and reply, well, what does it comes with? Then she went to the kitchen to ask. The only reason I didn't walked out is because I was craving a pastrami sandwich for a while but will not return. I feel bad for writing but felt the need. We've been customers since the 1970's and never had order issues until yesterday. The pizza had the wrong toppings, they put pineapple and that crossed my line, and was undercooked, the sauce had way too much garlic. The outer box even had the topping letters written on it. Decided to have my son's birthday here on a weekday with his close buddies. We were maybe a party of 30. I asked for the arcade seating area and it was nice cos we had the little private section next to the arcade. I didn't realize there are two separate entrances to La Bella's arcade room. It's called La Bella's cafe and games in a separate building behind La Bella pizza. There's an entrance off G street and a small parking lot right off g also. Otherwise there's paid street parking. There's another lot and entrance behind La Bella pizza. But idk if u can park there, probably. I called ahead and made reservations. Maybe it was just a busy night but we had one server for our huge party. They let me order off the catering menu. I did some pizzas and party trays of chicken wings, Caesar salad, and Alfredo pasta. I didn't get the soda pitchers because they charge per pitcher. Our server barely checked on us. I had to keep walking to the kitchen area to ask for ate pitcher refills, extra plates, cups etc. I purchase game cards for the kids. They have a prize station for the tickets u earn from prizes. The kids had fun tho but the food service and even the young person(s) working the arcade area was not good at all. I wish I could've chose the tip but of course it was auto gratuity since it was a large party. Maybe that's why she felt she didn't have to work hard. I don't know. Food wise the pizza was really good. I think Alfredo was just ok. Wings were good too. I got buffalo and I forgot the other flavor. I don't think they charge for extra ranch. Generous pepperoni and cheese and crust is tasty not thick , not thin, it's medium and once you had it this way, you'll only want your pizza like this. Meatball sandwich nobody can compare there's to it. The meatballs spiced great size but the sauce spiced and flavorful and the mozzarella cheese is placed in abundance. Yum! For breakfast can't go wrong with a small or large stack of pancakes and add the omelette to your liking. I always create my own and comes with hash browns and bread of your choice( always the sour dough). I've been going here since childhood, and remember Ms Kitty and Poppa, the family has continued the tradition of great Italian food. It is a great place for large groups. We have had many special occasions, celebrated birthdays , school reunions, sports parties, and pre wedding and post funeral gatherings. This is a late review. I visited La bella's Pizza and ordered wings and a large Papa Special pizza. I was enjoying it until I suddenly felt something tickle my throat - it was a hair! By far one of the grossest experiences I've had. I nearly threw everything up. I wouldn't recommend the pizza at all. Although they did comp me for the pizza, the experience was really bad and disgusting. When I asked who had long hair, they mentioned the dough is made separately daily, so they didn't know who it could have been. This could have been avoided if whoever handles the dough wore proper hair protection. I haven't visited since and won't return after this incident. One star all around. The service was bad. The food tasted good, but it was not handled properly. The wings were extra burnt, had no texture, and their hot sauce wasn't to my liking either. Definitely a two-star experience. read more

We ordered catering from this location and would absolutely recommend to anyone! The portions were amazing, the food was delicious, and the service from the store manager was great. I have a nut allergy and the store manager reassured me there are no nuts in the kitchen! We ordered the penne with extra marinara sauce, Alfredo with chicken, Alfredo with no meat, an antipasto salad, Caesar salad, and the DELICIOUS sourdough garlic bread. Not accommodating. We ordered a build your own sandwich with no meat on it for my vegetarian mother. The restaurant called to inform us that they put meat on the sandwich as I was opening the door for the delivery driver, when it was far too late to make a correction. My mom asked why they put meat on it when she ordered it without meat and she was told "they don't really do sandwiches like that." It wasn't a problem to ask for no onions on my sandwich but asking for no meat on hers was a problem. The food really isn't that good anyway. Approximately 630 we order our first drink . Service was great , bartender was very attentive. We then ordered dinner that good as well . It was very obvious we were done with our drinks after 30 minutes we were waiting for either our check or maybe another drink ,never really got the chance . NO ONE came to ask !!!! My husband went in front of the full crowd to get bartenders attention. She did acknowledge him BUT not until 15 LATER. The service basically was unacceptable. We were staying at El Primero--a short walk away. We happened upon La Bella Pizza. First impression saw a restaurant with warm, quirky, old-school ambiance. Multiple rooms, nooks, and crannies to make it a one-of-a-kind experience. We were seated, and immediately afterward a party of 18 was seated across from us. We immediately said, "Uh-oh, looks like this is going to be a disaster." We ordered our meal, and then our friendly waiter went and took the party of 18's order--they weren't easy, as they wanted multiple separate checks, etc, etc. Our order came out, hot, fresh, and timely--a pleasant surprise to the 3 of us. The meatballs were very good, with the sauce being exceptional! Our pizza was great with big, fresh, tasty toppings, and again, amazing sauce. Our waiter Andy was as good as could be! I had the Chicken Parmesan + 3 of the Mama's Cannolis. The food was hot, ready to go 25 minutes after ordering a takeout, and absolutely worth the $27 I spent total on my order.
