Shrimp risotto (bottom) mushroom ravioli (middle) and maiale with very thin pesto linguine (top)
    Kim D.

Had to update my review because the last two times we've been here it was pretty underwhelming. Tonight our seice. Maria took our drinks orders and then meal orders after droppung of our iced teas. She didnt come back until 30 min later with our dishes. She rushed off before we could ask for refills. We had to ask for her to be notified that we wanted refills on our iced teas. The pesto that accompanied our pork maiale was very thin and clear in color. We got a side of pesto which was creamy and green. The pork was a little dry. The mushroom ravioli was excellent, as usual. The shrimp and risotto was pretty good but the shrimp wasn't cleaned which gave me the ick.

Linguine with cream sauce and a roasted half chicken. So so so good!

This place is a Hidden Gem in Chula Vista! Truly a hidden treasure. Had some of the best Pastas and Bruschetta I have ever had. Everything was fresh and delicious. Looks like you step back in time and into an old school Italian restaurant. The service was wonderful and again the food was truly delicious. Definitely coming here again,

Sorry for the late review... 08/06/25 - Went here with friends around 6pm. There is not dedicated parking for this restaurant, only street parking. From the outside, just looks like a small door and with a small window but it's actually bigger inside. This is more on the older decor, but not bad at all. I ordered the pasta with mushrooms and steak with it. I ordered my steak medium and they did a good job. My dish was so yummy. I also ordered a drink this time. I had the white sangria and it was soooo refreshing and yummy. Also tried the red one and it was good too. I preferred the white one though. This was my second time here and both time I enjoyed my dishes. Staff is also very attentive. Very happy with the food and experience here, highly recommend.

The pasta itself is nice and bouncy. Sauces were rich and creamy. The maccheroni and cheese said crab meat, but it's flavorless, you could say it felt misleading. I wasn't familiar with this dish, and would've preferred something else. The chicken carbonara has pork in it. This was a special item so it didn't have a descriptor. Although it was a nice surprise for us, it may not be for someone who can't eat pork, so be forewarned. The home bread was excellent is a must if you come here. Overall, 3/5. Service was average and we were seated quickly on a Thursday night. Food was 3.5/5, felt okay for pasta but nothing to write home about.

Wow I mean I make the best lasagna and I have not yet found a comparable lasagna that I can rave about until now! Well done Italgo and we ordered it to go by ubereats gifted to us for our anniversary. We also tried the bolognese rigatoni and crème brûlée! Also very delicious! Will be back to eat in person! We can't wait to experience it in person now that we tried your Italian cuisine.

Wow! What a great experience. Our server, Gustavo, was fantastic. When we arrived, there were no other tables; however it quickly filled up. Gustavo was just as friendly, attentive, and informative while handling 6 large tables as he was when it was just us. I ordered the boscaiola with pappardelle, and added salmon. The pasta was fresh and the salmon was super tender. The bread is freshly made and comes with oil and vinegar. The entire meal was absolutely delicious. I wish I could give this place more stars.

On my way back from Las Americas Mall, I had a craving for something delicious. In the past, I've visited Italianissimo, but this time I decided to change it up and give Italgo Pasta Bar a try. I'm glad I did! This cute little place is located right on Broadway. Although the parking is limited, I managed to find a spot right on the street. The menu offers a variety of authentic favorites, and I ended up choosing the homemade bread to start. For dinner I had the Tagliata flat iron steak, marinated with rosemary, and served with a side of linguine pasta in their lemon caper sauce. This combination was simply delicious. Chula Vista is full of charming mom-and-pop restaurants, and I always enjoy eating local when exploring new areas. Italgo Pasta Bar was a delightful find, and I will definitely return on future trips to the area.

We've been wanting to dine here for years and I finally convinced the wife to go! We were impressed with the restaurant upon arrival as the dining area was decorated with Christmas lights, trees, and holiday themed items. We were served by Sarahi and she took great care of us! We ordered their house bread, Caprese salad, mushroom ravioli, and their large meat pizza. We got a large bottle of Saratoga sparking water. The pace of our food coming out was on point, Sarahi checked on us regularly to make sure all was going well. LOVED: Caprese (plenty of fresh mozzarella cheese & tomatoes), and mushroom ravioli. LIKED: meat pizza (tasty but Italgo is called a pasta bar for a reason, it won't threaten to put a pizza house out of business) but it was reasonable, fresh, served hot, and was tasty enough to order again. We loved the food but loved the service, prices, and ambiance more! Oh, they also have private parking in the back and the restaurant is accessible from the rear of the building. If you live in the South Bay area, IPB is a place you should try if you're a fan of Italian food...

This was my first time coming here. Super impressed with the authenticity and quality of the food. Our host was amazing. She was friendly, knowledgeable and made us feel welcomed. The restaurant is quaint and beautifully decorated. It truly is a hidden gem! The parmigiano was a hit! The breaded chicken cutlet was pan fried to perfection. Chicken was juicy and tender. And a generous amount of tomato sauce and cheese was broiled on top! It's a must have! And don't even get me started on the crème brûlée

    Is there parking?

Street parking only near the restaurant. good luck on that as the taco shop (Canelo's) gets quite a lot of visitors

I saw a sign on the corner of H and 1st that said Italgo pasta Bar opening soon Dec 1st and then here on Yelp it now says Feb 1st. Does anyone know what's going on? We've been patiently waiting for then to reopen.😭

Drive by today (3/7/2019) and they have a "Now Open" sign

Anyone know when this restaurant is planning to reopen?

Last time I spoke with Carlos. He said the city is making them clean the entire inside of the restaurant from any smoke evidence or smell. It has to be inspected by the city and approved for business. Last estimate was mid July..which just passed. I…

When are you going to reopen? Why no updates?

Spoke to Carlos this week (he is temporarily working in Coronado) Turns out that the permits are taking longer than anticipated and now the opening has been pushed for another three months! So best guess now seems to be October 2018. We can hardly…

The owners are from Modena, Italy sharing their delicious recipes from back home. I had to do a little research on Modena because I had never heard of this city. It's north of Tuscany. Modena is a city in Italy's Emilia-Romagna region, famous for its UNESCO World Heritage historic center, luxury car industry (Ferrari & Maserati), and world-renowned gastronomy, particularly traditional balsamic vinegar, Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, and Lambrusco wine. The restaurant provided complimentary bread with their homemade balsamic vinaigrette, which was excellent!! We recommend trying the following dishes: *Lobster Ravioli (MY FAVORITE) *Bolognese Lasagna *Mushroom Ravioli *Calamari Appetizer -w/restaurant made marinara The restaurant makes their own pasta. For dessert, we recommend trying their restaurant made: * Tiramisu *Crème brûlée (MY FAVORITE) The restaurant offers cooking classes for adults and children (6+) so be sure to check out their instagram page for workshop dates and times. There's indoor and outdoor seating with enough room for large groups. We had excellent customer service by server Jacob and are definitely coming back soon; check it out!! Happy Yelping :)

Great value and insane portions…read more For $25, I ate this for like two days, and I'm not even talking about the pizza. I ordered pasta. And I eat more than an average person. I guess, this was called a "family combo," but at $25, I just kind of expected I could finish it no problem. Instead, I got a soup, a huge salad, a ton of bread, spaghetti, lasagna, and ravioli. It's definitely not a super classy place. The salad is mostly cheap lettuce, but it does have tomatoes, banana peppers, and whole olives with the seeds. The soup is fine but generic. The marinara base sauce is generic, but the combination is good and the tomato umami is exquisite. The texture of all the pasta is pretty consistent. I was particularly impressed by the size and flavor of the meaty ravioli. They already provided a bunch of bread, but since I ordered this combo, they then provided another large portion of garlic bread. The appetizer bread is soft and warm; I much prefer this to the rock-hard bread at a lot of faux classy American-Italian joints.
