Small supreme pizza $19.58. Just not worth it

I don't like to do this, I support mom and pop shops but I tried a small supreme pizza, total was $19.58!! I just couldn't justify why the high price. I rate the pizza a 6 out of 10, reminded me of the thrown in pizza you find at a regular or Chinese buffet. At most it should be $14 considering inflation. The extra marinara sauce was $1 so the total was $20.58. Been to worst places but I just feel robbed paying $20 for a small not great but decent pizza. Won't be coming back. The guy at the front desk seemed nice and the shop looked clean.

On Christmas Day, with a food related disaster this place really saved me. So glad they were open, I ordered the 20 piece buffalo Chicken Wings and I must say I'm impressed. They definitely had the sauce and were well flavored. I also got large meat lovers pizza which was just as delicious. Nice toppings the cheese was cheesing and I really enjoyed it. I will definitely come here again especially for wings. And they made it in like 15 mins .Bravo Zulu

This small pizza place was the hang out spot when I was growing up. We would go in and buy a large slice for $1.50. Visiting this town after being away for so many years had me curious, so we went in and obviously the prices have gone up, that's expected. The pizza is just as good if not better. We bought 4 pepperoni slices which now come in a small box and no longer in a paper bag like back in the day lol. The dough and crust are perfect in my opinion. It definitely hits the spot. The new owners are friendly and were very professional. The place was clean, and they had a wide selection of beverages.

They weren't lying, this is the BIGGEST pizza I've ever seen! I ordered a large and had to strap it to the roof of my car to get it home. It wouldn't fit through the front door, so we all had to sit and eat it in the garage! The neighbors smelled it and called half the neighborhood over, but luckily, there was enough for everybody!

I had a 14" pepperoni pizza. Very tasty local pizza with fresh dough made daily. Friendly service as well! Definitely will return for some pizza and other menu items.

As you could see either the pizza was NOT big enough or the box was too big!

For $26 cash no tax this pizza was worth it for a birthday party. However, it could have filled the pizza box more or have a thicker crust. Overall, the owner was friendly but the wife not so much upon pick up. I ordered half Hawaiian and half pepperoni it tasted good just could use thicker crust. My pizza was thin and did not fill the huge box enough that during the drive home the pizza was sliding side to side in the box. As you could see either the pizza was NOT big enough or the box was too big! I ordered a "GIANT" and added the birthday topper for a bonus

Great pizza and customer service! He always remembers who you are. He loves his job and cares for the customer. Pizza smells great and tastes even better! Me and my wife have been coming here for the last 4 years since we moved to this area. This is our usual take out food for our at home date nights! The place has great specials!

I am from San Francisco ended here for a dinner trip. Little far from hotel but totally worth it. Awesome service by owner and tasty pizza , wings and breadsticks. Something different and very good.

I cash my check all the time next door which I highly recommend! Nice guys there... Long story short I didn't try the pizza, Service sucked, went in ordered a 2 slice special with a small drink for 10$ Even put a 1$ tip Total due 11.88 Guy hands me a cup I said no thank you I have my yeti cup. He said how big is your yeti cup I say a little bit bigger than that cup. He said special comes with this cup and I have to use that cup... I said that doesn't make any sense. I laughed and said cancel my order and left. Then another guy said you can't do that in 7-11. Which I do ... I pay for a drink and use mine. Anyways, It's 100 degrees outside. Their cup would have kept my drink cold for .2 seconds. And maybe if they invested in some f AC I would've taken their cup. It was hotter in there than outside. If you go, for the love of God, never, ever, ever, take your cup. Never, ever! Looks like I'll have to try the 1000 other pizza places in a one mile radius.

Artichoke hearts were great and the stuffed tomatoes were a pleaselant surprise. My family had numerous pastas and a pie which we were all blown away by this hidden gem. Unfortunately the expirence took a turn when it came to our service from our server, Mia. I should mention that we were not locals and we traveled from a different state. We spent our day going to Sesame Place with our family and wanted a bite to eat after. I will say we weren't the best dressed given our day however, I feel like we were targeted for this reason from the beginning. We had a party of 6 and we knew that mandatory tip was included before going. That did not stop us since we were looking for a delicious meal before driving back home. We ordered water as soon as we sat down since we had spent the day in the sun. From that moment, Mia rolled her eyes and didn't even ask how we were doing, not even a smile. Mia's attitude towards us was very unprofessional the entire time. She would come over very quickly and wouldn't ask if we needed anything or how we were doing. We had to ask her in the small time she would come over or ask someone else. We were celebrating my birthday and mentioned that but she didn't acknowledge it. The cherry on top was when we received our bill, it was $201 and some change. We gave $210 and the exact change in cash so we could recieve an even $10 back and leave it at the table even though the tip was already taken out. Mia brought back 9 dollars and 1 dollar in change back and honestly, it was petty. After that, we didn't leave anything extra and left feeling pretty upset with the overall service. It was disappointing for my family that our last part of our vacation ended like this. Money was not an issue for my family and it is disappointing to get judged when I have the same currency as everyone else paying inside. Unfortunately, I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone even though the food was truly delicious.

I Really Wanted to Love This Pizza…read more After seeing several Facebook videos from this restaurant, my wife and I drove south after church specifically to try their Chicago-style deep-dish pizza. The videos worked--I was genuinely excited. The last Chicago-style pizza I had was at Lefty's in North Park, which was very good, so I was looking forward to trying another local option. Our first impression was excellent. The restaurant looked great, with Chicago memorabilia on one side and San Diego Padres players on the other. It was cool and comfortable inside, and the cashier was exceptionally friendly and attentive. I told her it was our first visit and that their Facebook advertising was exactly what brought us in. We ordered the popular Empire State Meat Lovers deep-dish pizza. The cashier explained that it would take about 25-30 minutes, which was no problem--we expected a proper deep-dish pizza to take some time. With one Coke, the total was $41.30. That seemed a little expensive, but I would have been perfectly happy with the price if the pizza delivered what the videos promised. We requested it in a box because we expected to eat only a slice or two and take the rest home. After about 30 minutes, the cashier brought it to our table with plenty of chili packets and a deep-dish serving utensil. The pizza looked amazing when we opened the box, and it had the size, weight, cheese, and crunch you would expect from a substantial deep-dish pizza. Unfortunately, the flavor did not match its appearance. I first pulled off a piece of crust, but it had very little flavor. The sauce was overwhelmingly salty--so salty that my wife joked that we would have no trouble getting our sodium for the day. I laughed and hoped the rest of the slice would be better. The pizza was served piping hot, the cheese was plentiful, and the crust had a satisfying crunch. However, after several bites, I could not get past the saltiness. Beneath all that salt, the sauce tasted bland, and the dough lacked the rich flavor I expect from a good deep-dish crust. If I am being completely honest, the overall flavor reminded me more of a basic frozen supermarket pizza than a freshly made specialty pizza. I really tried to like it, especially because I had been so excited to come. But I could barely finish one slice. We walked out carrying a very heavy box with only two slices missing, and unless one of our kids eats the leftovers, I honestly have little desire to reheat them. What disappointed me most was not spending $41.30 on a pizza we did not enjoy. It was that I truly wanted to love this place. The Facebook videos showed someone taking tremendous pride in his pizza craft, and I was hoping to find a great Chicago-style restaurant we could return to. I hope this was simply an off day, because the restaurant itself was inviting and the service was excellent. The staff treated us very well, and the pizza had the right appearance and structure--it just fell far short on flavor. My grades for this visit: * Service and atmosphere: A * Appearance and portion size: A * Crust crunchiness: B * Sauce: D * Dough flavor: D Sadly, based on this particular experience, I do not expect we will return. I might consider giving it another chance someday if I knew the owner or pizza maker featured in the Facebook videos was personally preparing the pizzas. I really hope our experience was not representative of what this restaurant usually serves.

The server said there's no room, we asked if they could move 2 tables together, the server mumbled that if they seat us inside then the restaurant will be full (it wasn't), and that the only option is outside. The manager was just as useless, he stood in the back, both staring while they talked about how they could move tables together. The girl at the bar did nothing but stare. Finally they said they could move the tables together. They moved them, placed napkins on it and then the hostess came back to the front and folded napkins. Didn't say we could sit, nobody came to tell us it was ready, they just sat there staring and folding napkins. We waited another 5 minutes and nobody said anything to us, so we ended up going to another pizza sit down chain where we were seated with excellent service, and everyone working was not socially inept. The first was when I was about six-years old and I ate some of the best pizza in my life at that point on the patio during a sunny day while my older sister and her girl scout troop had a party event. The second, my Dad was when my Dad treated me to a mouth-watering and fresh Turkey submarine sandwich after my Confirmation, when I was about 16-years-old. Those were the days, yes, indeed. Forward to present day, and this deli is still unequivocally, one of my favorites spots to grab lunch or dinner. The staff consisting of a very diligent family are always polite and loquacious. The family certainly takes pleasure in making sure all customers are welcomed with open arms. During the past decade or so, the quality of food has not deteriorated. The pizza is always fresh, and hits the spot. I suggest ordering the 20-inch or 28-inch for events such as a movie night, boxing fight-night matches, or a birthday party for your son and/or daughter or for a family-gathering event in general. The crust from the pizza is thick and slightly crunchy...sometimes, I tear off some parts of the crust and save it for later. The selection of toppings are plenty and just enough to create the pizza to your liking. I would say the toppings are from the old-school style of pizza joints....ya know, that 1980's-style feel. As for the sandwiches, I have to refrain from ordering two! The bread is moist, delicious and pairs well with the choice of sub you select. I must warn you, it can be overwhelming with all the choices the deli has to serve. The Philly Steak is one, if not the best I have consumed in San Diego county. The other subs I suggest are: Turkey, ham and cheese, a Turkey sub, Pastrami sandwich and the gyro. I sincerely hope you will not be disappointed when you try what the deli has to offer. In addition, for the appetizers, the French fries, fried zucchini, and cheese garlic bread are supreme and premium side snacks to add if you are feeling voracious and ravenous. And, who knows, you may see Mario Lopez there during your visit. *Side Notes*: Parking lot is never crowded to a point where you become frustrated, the front entrance is visible and you will not miss the turn to drive inside the parking lot, and the establishment is easy to locate off the 805 freeway or if you are traveling from the roads.
