If we're getting a calzone, this is where we always go. Reliably enough that on the occasions where we do order something different, the owner notices it's not our usual. He's a friendly guy and has stayed open a few minutes late to finish an order for us a couple times. Good man. They make a good calzone that makes a solid meal for 2. If you're a real big eater, you might want to add a salad or a side to split, but it's a bit more filling than splitting your average NY style 10" pizza and does nicely on its own for us. I don't like to do this, I support mom and pop shops but I tried a small supreme pizza, total was $19.58!! I just couldn't justify why the high price. I rate the pizza a 6 out of 10, reminded me of the thrown in pizza you find at a regular or Chinese buffet. At most it should be $14 considering inflation. On Christmas Day, with a food related disaster this place really saved me. So glad they were open, I ordered the 20 piece buffalo Chicken Wings and I must say I'm impressed. This small pizza place was the hang out spot when I was growing up. We would go in and buy a large slice for $1.50. Visiting this town after being away for so many years had me curious, so we went in and obviously the prices have gone up, that's expected. The pizza is just as good if not better. We bought 4 pepperoni slices which now come in a small box and no longer in a paper bag like back in the day lol. The dough and crust are perfect in my opinion. It definitely hits the spot. For $26 cash no tax this pizza was worth it for a birthday party. However, it could have filled the pizza box more or have a thicker crust. Overall, the owner was friendly but the wife not so much upon pick up. I ordered half Hawaiian and half pepperoni it tasted good just could use thicker crust. NOVEMBER 2019 UPDATE: New owners have taken over the restaurant as of a couple months ago. Very sad to see the original owner and his wife retire. However, they sold the restaurant to distant relatives, so everything has remained the same and the food is still excellent! In fact, I have detected a slight improvement in the food quality and taste. They also spruced up the interior of the restaurant by giving it a fresh coat of paint, brighter lighting, and things like that. I don't give out very many 1 star ratings, but the pizza I purchased here was by far one of the biggest disappointments I have ever experienced in Pizzadom. We were going to a concert at the nearby amphitheater and checked Yelp for a nearby pizza joint to take some pie with us, to eat while we tailgated before the show. Pulled in here and thought, 'wow, what a dive strip mall and joint in particular.' The wife says, "hell no!" I tell her, "some of the smaller dives have some of the BEST foods, I'm doing it!" Besides, Yelp reviewers give it two thumbs up. We walk into one of the most run down and dirty looking eateries ever. Did not sway me though! No patrons at 4:30 pm, did not sway me! The lone employee, disheveled and all, comes out of the back. I don't see a menu and ask if he has one. He points to the entrance and tells us they are posted on the flyer on the window. Okay, we venture back outside and I decide on the two single topping pizzas for $19. Head back in and order one sausage and one pepperoni. We turned around and see a "full menu" up on the wall behind us. WTF, why did you send us outside to look at a sun dried flyer taped to the window? I needed to take a piss and he (not much of a talker) directs me to the 'public restroom' in the back. What a filthy freaking room that was. Oh well, did my duty and returned and waited. Got our pizzas and left the scene of the crime. Get to our destination, set up our chairs, pour a couple of cocktails and open the boxes to pig out. Pizza looked kind of funny (see photos), but okay I suppose. The wife could not get through one single slice of pepperoni. She stated the dough tasted "bland" and the sauce nothing more than tomato sauce (no seasoning). I kind of concurred, but ate two and a half slices anyway as I was 'Starvin' like Marvin.' It was not tasty at all I hate to say. Had one slice of the sausage and could not handle it at all. I cannot tell you if the sausage was bad (old) and the "cheese" tasted like plastic. I tell myself it needs red pepper flakes! But, alas, none were placed into the boxes, nor was I asked if I wanted any. I toss the boxes in the trunk and continue trying to get my buzz on for the show. That night, upon returning home, I coat a slice with red pepper flakes and give it another try. No help whatsoever! I shit canned the leftovers, something I don't ever recall doing to PIZZA! Most of you pizza lovers KNOW this just does NOT happen! I am perplexed as to why on God's good green earth this place has such an overall high rating. I really am NOT that picky! Was it a very "off" day for this place, or are the majority of the patrons that rave about the quality of food here having to walk to get here and have no other choices? Or, because we were not recognized as regulars was it decided to unload the old ingredients that should have been disposed of? I / we don't know and we will NEVER return to find out, or give the place a second chance. So, maybe unfortunately for some people - my rating will stand for the duration of my Yelp account (unless it gets sent into the abyss of "not recommended" reviews). read more

Food arrived on time for first projected arrival time and early for second projected arrival time. Made it to my house nice and warm! I was working on a college discussion question, when the doorbell rang. I ripped open the plastic bag to reveal foil wrapped containers! Amazing. With only 15 mins left to complete and turn in my work, I left it wrapped and hit the keyboard. After I completed my work, I now turned my attention to the delicious smelling morsals.
