Rather than the standard, massage table type set up, they have reclining, massaging chairs. They also provide you with a warm blanket and it helps create a relaxing environment. Before starting the service, they have you wash your lashes at their sink station. I can appreciate this because over the years, I've learned over the years, it is super important to have clean, residue free, lashes to ensure you get the most of your lash fill. Depending on your lash tech, depends on if they clean your lashes prior to starting the fill. I do understand it's a rather difficult task to clean someone's eyes will they lay down as there is no real efficient way to clean the lashes without getting water all over the clients face. Nonetheless, I'm sad there isn't a similar lash bar like this one where I live in Austin. I definitely plan to return anytime I am back home visiting.

I didn't know this time around was going to be negative unlike the other service visits. I've had my appointment be rescheduled from 8 Am on a Saturday to 10 to 10:30 Am to then rescheduled for 8 Am the following Sunday, all on the count of Bella apparently having issues with her son's flight. It's 8:42 Am and I'm here still waiting for Bella to arrive, apparently from the airport. I'm trying to be patient and keep an open mind as life can happen but it's not a good look on the business for the owner to ask to reschedule multiple times within 24 hours and still be running late to the appointment. The deposit is non refundable hence why I'm here. I very much doubt I'll be getting any discount or price reduction on today's service but I know I'll never recommend this place anymore for lashes. Monday's Update: I got my lashes done, but I was right as Bella went ahead and charged my card on file anyways for the remainder of the service despite cancelling and rescheduling all on her account. I've filed a dispute with my bank to see about the merchant refunding me the $82.50 as it didn't feel appropriate given this visit's circumstances with her lack of punctuality. I'm also not pleased with how the lashes look since I asked for a more natural, wispy look and she went with a more dramatic look. Regardless if I get my money back or not, and despite the compliments I get on the lashes, I will not be recommending this place moving forward.

I saw on my receipt the service I paid for was labeled as Cavitation Machine, not Massage. Although I could have sworn I saw a massage therapist certificate on Sandra's well, but the photos I am now looking at are to blurred to read when blown up on my phone. The $28 surcharge fees is really rubbing me the wrong way. Getting that back is now on my mind. I don't wish to cause a problem Sandra and her business, but this is my first time ever (and I am thinking about how Chris Jericho says Ever) been charged a $14 surcharge on my debit card. Still, aside from this one thing, I am satisfied with the way my 90 minutes went at Him/Her Spa. I give this whole experience four Stars. Update: 3/24/25 I spoke with Sandra De La Vega about the two 7% surcharge added on to my bills and the problem has been resolved. I appreciate how this was handled by her. I will be stopping by to get the problem fixed later on in the week. I now feel better about give this business the 5 stars it deserves. Sandra De La Vega said the best way to avoid any surcharge is to pay in cash. As for tips, they can go into the grey trays on the table in the rooms. I learned after my session with Sandra, she will not be doing another 90 with anyone. Only 1 hour or less. I am not sure if this rule applies to the other therapists, so you will have to find out on your own. Hope this information helps.

Hi Christina, Thank…read moreyou for your response. I respectfully disagree with your conclusion that AHA and BHA products were the likely cause of my reaction. As I explained multiple times, I am very aware of the contraindications associated with brow lamination services and did not use any acids, retinoids, or other products that would have compromised my skin before or after my appointment. What I find concerning is that your conclusion appears to be based on speculation rather than any medical evaluation. The fact remains that I developed redness, irritation, and scabbing in the exact areas where the chemical products were applied within 24 hours of the service. Delayed skin reactions following cosmetic chemical treatments are well documented and do not need to be visible immediately after a procedure to be related to it. I also find it disappointing that throughout this process the focus has been on defending the service and assigning fault to the client rather than acknowledging that adverse reactions can occur even when procedures are performed by experienced professionals. At this point, I am not interested in a redo of the service. My concern is not the appearance of my brows, but the reaction that occurred and the lack of accountability shown in response to it. Given my experience, I do not feel comfortable returning to your studio in the future.

The salon is clean, well lit, and the atmosphere is relaxing. That said, the membership structure and billing practices are confusing and not customer-friendly, and that ultimately led me to cancel. The salon offers a monthly membership that includes two refills per billing cycle. In practice, if you go every two weeks (which is a very common refill schedule), your appointments will occasionally fall just before the billing reset. When that happens, you're told you either need to pay out of pocket for the visit or move your billing date forward and pay the full monthly fee early. There is no proactive warning when booking that a visit will fall outside your available credits. Nothing about this was clearly explained up front. I had to ask multiple questions to understand why I suddenly "didn't have credits" despite being on a paid membership and coming regularly. Once explained, the math may technically work -- but the structure almost guarantees periodic extra charges for clients who come every two weeks. This isn't about the technician (again, Carmen is great). It's about a membership model that relies on billing-cycle timing rather than real-world client schedules, which creates avoidable confusion and unexpected costs. If you're considering the membership, I strongly recommend asking very specific questions about billing dates, credit resets, and how often you plan to come so there are no surprises. Also, I was drawn in by an advertisement for a $99 offer for my first set of lashes. Wonder how many people actually leave paying less than $200.
