Brie did my nails exactly how I asked for and gave enough of her thoughts as well Even after over 2 weeks all my nails still look great, just grown out (pictured) I got structured gel nails and a pedicure (Lena did my pedi and she was so great as well). One thing I didn't realize is you do have to add on cuticle prep separately if you want that for your structure gel The space is clean and very nice too. If you're getting a pedi the chairs are massage chairs, which is a big plus! Their website said a gel manicure with gel removal would take 45 minutes; it ended up taking 70 minutes to do my nails and my nail tech did not even file or cut my nails. I also have gel polish stuck to the sides of my fingers. Additionally, their nail care tools (files, clippers, etc) were not in sealed packages, which concerns me and makes me think that they do not properly sanitize their tools. read more

First few times I went a young lady did my nails and it was great. There was a time where she left me with someone else to finish to get her own nails done. Another time where they basically rushed me out the door no hand massage or lotion on my hand's as they were closing. The woman at the register at closing didn't want to reopen the register to let me use my debit card. Instead she said to use the ATM as the register was closed to withdraw cash. Which I did and was charged two fees one by my bank and by their ATM machine. If you know that dip nails take a long time they should either not take the customer and ask them to please make an appointment. I went to get a pedicure here last week. While doing the service the nail technician ran out of the color I chose. Instead of asking if I would like to choose another color, they grabbed another one and painted over the initial color. When I pointed out that this was not the same color and that I would like to do another one, the nail tech ignored me and just did more layers which resulted in a thick and messy polish. On behalf of my girlfriend. I got her a gift certificate here as she is new to the area. I have been getting dip for about 3 years now & have loved it. After trying this spot, they did not top with gel which I have always had, when I asked them about it they told me no & that it would be fine. Within a day the top clear polish began to lift & crack. I have never had an issue with nails chipping or breaking before this, but now less than 2 weeks from that appointment I have two broken nails, not just the dip, but the actual nail is broken. The powder itself is also chunky & uneven. My dip manicures have always lasted me at least a month. For the price of the dip manicure I'd expect more, & to listen to the customer when they request something. They also did not trim my cuticles, oil them, offer any lotion after. Nothing. Very unhappy with the service I received yesterday. Knew it would be bad when I called and they told me to book online, despite saying that I could book appointments over the phone. Took a group of four in to get manicures and pedicures and immediately the staff was pushy and attempting to persuade our group into getting more expensive services. Ended up costing $315 and every member of my group left with either smudged nails, chipped nails, or signs of low quality service. I raised my concerns to the technician performing my service, as she had smudged one of my nails while painting another. Instead of correcting the error, she put top coat over the smudge, solidifying it into place. Staff was unorganized and kept "forgetting" parts of the expensive package they roped us into paying for. None of the technicians cleaned up the cuticles of anyone in my group and left one person bleeding. Additionally, I had a bandage on my finger and the technician, despite my complaints, proceeded to press firmly on it while doing my nails. Staff was then pushy for tips despite the subpar service. **dishonest about prices and bad customer service, sloppy work* I went to La Belle Nail Salon for a full set with a design. I showed the woman who greeted me a picture of what I wanted (white stiletto nails with small black hearts) and she told me it would cost $85. She said stilettos weren't possible with hard gel, and I had to do Gel X (which is $10 more). I agreed, despite having had plenty of designs with hard gel before. She applied the Gel X and another technician did the design. She was nice, but her work was not consistent and slightly sloppy, and I had to ask her 3 times to center the W initial I asked for. When she finished, she gave me a final price of $115. I then spoke to the woman who greeted me and asked her about the discrepancy. She said I had to pay more because of the design. I had no issue paying more, I had an issue with her giving me one price before I did my nails when she knew I was getting a design, and then another one after they were finished. I paid and politely tried to explain why i was unhappy, and she walked away from me while I was mid-sentence. She was extremely rude and I believe she was intentionally deceptive. With the unevenness and asymmetry of the design, I don't believe the nails were worth $115 anyways. Would not return here or recommend the salon to anyone. read more

I've been here 2-3 times for a pedicure and had a good experience, however, I came in today for a dip powder manicure and felt so ripped off. It was very disappointing. The man who did it seemed to be an owner ? It took him maybe 10-15 min to do my entire dip powder manicure. He didnt do any nail prep (filing, cuticle cleaning etc) he basically just sanded them and put powder on them and tried to send me off. There was dried polish and stickiness all around and under my nails that I had him clean up. I actually couldn't believe he was letting me leave like that . $55!!! I don't mind paying money when there's effort put in. And I don't want to be put in a position where I have to correct someone because they're being lazy and sloppy. I told him how unhappy I was with my nails (note, I'm not a picky person and this was very uncomfortable ) and he literally ignored me, he had nothing to say. This place is a joke. I came here a while back, and let me tell you, they were awesome! The staff there were super friendly and did a really good job, especially considering the price I paid. Right from the moment I walked in, I was greeted with big smiles and a warm welcome. The staff here made me feel comfortable and at ease throughout my visit. If you're ever in downtown I would recommend stopping by. Typically no appointments are needed and you can just walk in but to be safe I would recommend calling in advance since it can get super busy. They don't do crazy nail art so I wouldn't try to give them anything crazy and just stick to something basic and simple. I took a several-month hiatus from getting my nails done as I had been getting gel for a couple years without a break and my nails were brittle. So, I waited and waited until my nails grew out a few times over and they were healthy and strong again! Then, I made an appointment at La Belle because they're pretty close to work and I didn't want to wait for the weekend to go to my regular salon. It was easy to make an appointment over the phone and they were ready for me when I arrived. They pointed out the columns of gel color and asked me to pick. As someone else wrote here, they do not have the wheels of gel color which kind of stinks because I like to hold it up to my nails to picture the color against my skin tone. With the bottle, it's hard to tell the true color, but I picked something and ended up liking it. The woman who did my nails was friendly and did a decent job of cutting cuticles, etc. The shaping was only ok, but the painting was good and she did 3 coats as the color was pretty transparent. $30 for a gel manicure and I tipped my standard 20%. That was on a Friday. I took the picture below on the next Friday. If I had regular polish and it chipped like that after 1 week - no biggie. But a giant chip 1 week after a gel manicure!? What a waste! And of course, it chipped on the Friday before the long weekend, so I went into Memorial Day weekend with crappy nails. I couldn't make myself pay to get them done again so soon. Over the weekend, there has been more peeling from the bottom. All in all - not worth it. My gel manis last at least 2 weeks elsewhere. read more

The selection isn't very large here, but I'm also comparing them to high end salons I've been to in NYC. Finally had one tech prep our nails but he did a super rushed job, destroyed my cuticles, and my nails weren't shaped evenly at all. After waiting around for another 40 minutes, a tech came over to actually paint our nails. She alternated between two of us at once as our nails were curing... this led to an extremely rushed manicure, with polish all over my cuticles and not capped at the tip of my nails. Two days later, every nail was chipped. Four days later (from the day I got them done), several nails are lifting and peeling off. I was in town for a conference and needed to update my manicure right before it started. La Belle squeezed me in for a last-minute appointment. The woman at the front desk, who I assumed was the manager or owner, was very sweet. Unfortunately, the woman who worked on my nails could have done a better job. I get gel manis regularly. In September, a friend had put a layer of clear acrylic on my nails to strengthen them. Since then, other nail technicians have managed to leave it alone when removing the gel polish. The nail technician at La Belle was the first one who insisted on removing the acrylic. Even though I had explained that I was in a rush and told her to leave the acrylic as the other previous techs have done, she spent time ripping off the acrylic to the point where she almost ripped off one of my nails. In her rush, she also cut my finger while filing. I agree with the previous reviews that this place is very clean. I might return for a pedicure, but I don't think I would get another manicure here. read more

I really wanted to give this salon 3 stars because I have to redo my nails this week, but my problem was technical. I hate the goopy, bubble look from carelessly piling on gel. My nails were filed sharply, I had to bring it to the manicurist's attention and I still had to fix a sharp edge after the gel was done. She put the top coat on sloppily, it doesn't even cover the entire gel. I didn't picture my toes but they were also left with a bubble. I personally feel that if I'm spending $60+ on a service, in a place that specializes that, it should be acceptably done, if not perfectly. That being said I only accepted this because the salon was closing by the time my appointment ended. The only thing that saves this review is that she was very nice, but her job is her job and it should be done well.
