I wish I took pictures of my eyebrows before I had to fix them myself. I came here on a slow day, and luckily there was no wait. So typically when I get my eyebrows done it takes a solid 5 or more depending on how bad my eyebrows grew out. And if most know, male eyebrows tend to be thicker and more to "work with". The lady who worked there was nice and very welcoming. Very light on the conversational aspect, but was quick to get started. This is where I started having red flags. She finished my left brow in less than a minute Even with having me holding them down. Yes, it's true that sometimes that's all you need, but I know my eyebrows and I know how long it takes some ladies to thread them. Second flag, she took even less time on the right brow. Then only 3 pulls for the middle. After a mere 3 minutes at most, she said I was done after barely rubbing any aloe. I was like wth!? She gave me a mirror and I could easily tell she wasn't even close to finishing or "cleaning up". I just told her it looked good and went my way. Yes I could have told her to fix it then, but what's the point if she didn't bother to already do it in the first place. Probably my worst experience when coming to threading. I've been searching for a nice, affordable place to get my eyebrows threaded and this place takes the cake. I visited the mall yesterday and happened across this little shop. They don't offer tinting, but the woman working did a superb job on my almost non-existent blonde brows and now they look great. She also styled them for me and was very pleasant to be around, unlike a lot of the people at other threading shops who will rush you in and out without paying attention to detail. You can't beat a $10 perfect brow threading, I'll definitely be back again. read more

I almost don't want to tell you how great this place is because I like not having to wait more than a few minutes for a walk-in appt. The women who work here are polite and professional. Soffa and Dunia are both great. They clean up and shape my brows and get it done quickly. Dunia even gave me tips on penciling in my sparse areas! Love this place! Loved this place. First time I ever had my eyebrows done via threading and it was certainly a new experience, that I was reluctant to try but wow! they did a fantastic job, and none of that left over wax that always seems to stay on you. Wow! I am impressed. I have been a semi-loyal customer at Miracle Eyebrows over at Mall St. Matthew's, but it's sort of uneven in terms of service and results and I've found it to be pretty painful, which I assumed was normal since it's the only place I've had threading done before. I tried this spot based on Yelp reviews and it did not disappoint at all! The woman who helped me was there by herself and blew through the woman ahead of me lightening fast...so fast that I wondered if she could have done a good job (I wasn't going to get close and examine anyone else's eyebrows...they seemed fine from across the room though). I sat down in the chair and she got through mine in no time too. They look great and it was way less painful than threading at Miracle Eyebrows and even a couple of bucks cheaper. I'm sold. This place is amazing. My dermatologist instructed me to stop waxing on my face so I decided to try eyebrow threading. After one visit, I am convinced I will not miss waxing one bit. Not only is this cheaper than waxing, I think the results are much better. My skin was not irritated at all and the arch in my eyebrows is very precise and sharp. They do a wonderful job here. But considering I'm the first man to write about this place, I needed to start off with that sentence. Read on people. Men, it's 2018 and it's ok to talk about a problem we have once we enter our late 20's or early thirties. Our eyebrows. Yeah, that part of us that we tend to ignore because we think it's a girly thing to worry about or we just don't worry about because that was never passed down to us from people we looked up to. Plus we never had to worry about it until we got a certain age. But the reality is that most of us reach an age where our eyebrow hair gets out of control and if we don't do something about it, it distracts people in conversation and it just looks messy. La Biotique can help you though. So, I haven't convinced you guys that you should worry about this yet. But how often do you get a haircut? Why do you get a haircut? Is it because you want to look clean cut or because your hair has gotten so long or out of control that you need some scissors to control the messiness? Those answers are exactly the reasons that we should worry about our eyebrows. Once we reach a certain age our eyebrow hair needs attention. We wake up and especially if you're a crazy toss and turn type of sleeper(another conversation), you wake up with Bert and Ernie hair on your eyebrows. I only started worrying about my eyebrows in the past half year when I reached that point in my life where that eyebrow hair started spurting out in crazy random directions. It's funny how I first started taking care of my eyebrows. I was like "umm no, I'm a guy. I'm a manly man. I don't do that. That's a girly thing to do. I don't want to worry about that. What?!?". But then she plucked my eyebrows and my face looked cleaner, sharper, neat, it even enhanced the great hair that I sometimes have ( that's another battle with the humidity in Kentucky), and I kind of liked it. So she continued doing it for a while until we had a falling out (ugh drama, who needs it). And I didn't know who else to turn to so I Yelped eyebrows and found La Biotique. The power of Yelp! La Biotique is located in the Oxmoor Center near the back of the mall, behind the Von Maur store. For ten dollars, you'll get that out of control eyebrow hair tamed. And they are used to doing men's eyebrow hair because unlike you, some men have gotten word that they should pay attention to this. It's fine guys, that's why I'm writing this to help you. To let you know that guys also have an eyebrow hair problem and are starting to get on board with doing something about it. And you can still continue being that manly man if that's the hesitation. And if you want a more defined eyebrow look, that's ok too...because again, it's 2018 and you can choose to be as clean cut as you want. I've been to La Biotique mostly on weekdays (I go about once a month), but have been there once on a weekend. On all my visits, I've only had to wait a maximum of 5 minutes before my turn to sit in the chair. The threading eyebrow procedure only takes a few minutes and the staff are friendly, delicate (I wasn't sure what to expect with threading), and quick with their threading technique. Ten dollars and a few minutes later you get out of the chair and and look in the mirror just like you do after a normal haircut on your head and check out a new clean cut you. Parking has never been an issue as it's immediately near an entrance of the mall where it's not as busy, the price of eyebrow threading is so affordable, and the experiences at La Biotique have always been friendly. They only get one star away from a 5 star because just like barbers working on your hair on your head, some work results are going to vary between people. I've had a couple of people work on my crazy eyebrow hair and I feel the work hasn't been 100% consistent between the different staff members. I noticed the difference between one visit and the other when switching staff members . Still, the work has been good, neat, and the experience has ben quick and friendly. I've never hated how I end up looking when getting out of that chair. This has been a Public Service Announcement for men, but hopefully it reaches everyone that ignore their eyebrows. Not sure if the thread was changed prior to the threading... Eyebrow area is burning and itching hours later. She thinned them way too much. I requested a trim and clean up of the stray hairs AROUND my eyebrows, instead she enhanced the arch (from bottom) and took too much off the top of my arch... I think I'll do it myself next time. It's so easy to get carried away when plucking/threading brows... Find someone you trust and stick with them. My friend loves it here (her brows look great), but it depends on who's doing them for you... I don't know their names but I won't be coming back. read more

I've gotten my eyebrows done by 4 different women and they always do a great job. I always tell them to keep my eyebrows thick but shape them up and they actually listen to me.
