La Bottega Caffé - the Hidden Gem on 31st & Biscayne. I stepped over here to grab a small bite to eat while my wife got her manicure and pedicure done @Rosé Nail Lounge. Tucked away on the corner of 31st and Biscayne Blvd, La Bottega Caffé is a charming and cozy café that delivers big on flavor and comfort. The star of the show? Their insanely delicious Argentinian empanadas--hands down some of the best you'll find in Miami. My personal favorites are the chicken empanada, perfectly seasoned with a juicy bite, and the mozzarella empanada, with its gooey, savory filling that melts in your mouth. And with so many other varieties, there's always something new to try. The café also serves up a variety of sandwiches and plated dishes, making it a great lunch or light dinner spot. The vibe is relaxed, with pleasant background music set at just the right volume to allow easy conversation. Though the seating area is modest, it feels open and welcoming. Service was friendly and attentive, and if you're looking to knock out a few emails or catch up on some work, the guest WiFi is a nice bonus. Whether you're here for a quick bite or settling in for a quiet work session, La Bottega Caffé is a neighborhood gem that deserves a spot on your go-to list--don't skip the empanadas!

Stumbled upon this hidden gem near my apt in Edgewater tucked inside an office building. I believe the owners son was working and serving up pretty good breakfast sandwiches. I had the Bacon egg and cheese bagel which was surprisingly good given coming out of a small sized space. Highly recommend stopping by this local gem and enjoying a nice breakfast/lunch one day.

Homemade empanadas. One of the best thing I've ever had. The three cheese, caramelized onion and corn one was delicious.

Such a delicious place. Everything is homemade and great service! The empanadas were just delicious.

This is an Argentinian bakery in Edgewater that also has brunch / breakfast options. Service is quick and the store is tucked away in a little shopping area. I got the good morning sandwich (croissant sandwich with bacon, egg, and cheddar cheese) which was average (the croissant pieces were flattened and it didn't have the flakinest and layers of a croissant that I was expecting). One of my friends go the empanadas and I tried one of theirs which tasted savory and cooked well (if you go here, I would get the empanadas instead of the other items on the menu). It is convenient to stop by and food was served quickly but unlikely to go here again just because there are so many other places in Miami to try and the breakfast sandwich and empanadas did not stand out to me compared to other places that I have been to.

Figured I'd have breakfast here as the photos and reviews were pretty decent. Very clean cafe. Gentlemen who took my order was kind. My 2 stars is because my cafe con leche was watered down. Usually it has a slight thick milky consistency and theirs was unlike the usual cafe con leches I've had. I was disappointed by the egg sandwich I had. I had to ask what the black dots were in the eggs. They were black pepper. My sandwich felt empty and lacked flavor. I also didn't like the cheese. It wasn't melted and the egg to bread ratio was off. Too thin for bread that thick. I was expecting a better experience. This cafe is in an office building.

Where can I start. This little cafe is located in Biscayne inside of the 3050 building. They offer a variety of food and they also make delicious smoothies with protein! The homemade empanadas are delicious and fresh. During lunch hour they offer a variety of fresh lunches. Everything she makes here is naturally made. Stop by and try it out :)

Great empanadas. Great service. Family owned & operated inside of an office building!

From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed. All my questions are answered as this was my first time coming here. These empanadas are homemade, fresh and hot! They have so many flavors to choose from. Tried the bacon, egg & cheese, ham & cheese, and the beef. Would recommend all of them and will return to try additional flavors. Did the breakfast special where you buy 2 empanadas and a coffee for $10. They have plenty of breakfast options to choose from. I think they also have lunch

I only have 1 picture because I ate everything so fast. My friend that was with me for the previous three days barely finished her breakfast but she ate everything that she ordered from this place. The croissant were delicious and if I had tried one of the breakfast empinadas first I would have ordered some for my plane ride home. Great service. Definitely on my favorites list and the prices were very reasonable

There is absolutely nothing touristy or manufactured about it. Stainless-steel tables, red plastic baskets, a busy counter, family photos covering the walls and a dining room full of people who clearly come here all the time. And the sandwiches are HUGE. Enriqueta's, opened in 1964, is best known for its Cubano and pan con bistec, but Rachel and I shared a medianoche, a tortilla con chorizo y queso and something called the "Super Cheese" with bacon. That last one is basically an enormous griddled pile of bacon and molten cheese barely contained by Cuban bread. I also grabbed some empanadas to take on the plane. The tortilla was beautifully browned, packed with chorizo and cheese, and substantial enough to be a meal by itself. The medianoche had the proper soft, slightly sweet bread, pressed crisp around a serious amount of pork, ham, Swiss, mustard and pickles. Nothing dainty happening here. The iced café con leche is also extremely strong. I will not be falling asleep on the flight out. Best of all, we got to meet the boss herself, Lucia Plá, the beloved matriarch on Saturday morning, greeting customers. Her husband, who bought the diner in 2000, Jose Luis, passed in 2019. This is the classic Cuban diner experience--a completely different vibe from Versailles or La Carreta. Smaller, more personal and much more like Puerto Sagua: a real neighborhood restaurant serving real people, with no interest in becoming a theme park version of itself. I'll definitely be back.

There is counter seating, a long table, a handful of smaller tables and a sofa at the entrance for your choice of cafe seating. They have a water cooler across from the counter to serve yourself water. I got a Turkey Brie-yonce ($14), which has turkey, brie, spinach, red onion, avocado. The baguette was fresh with good flour flavor and crusty crunch. There is no spread or sauce on the sandwiches because they give you a bottle of garlic cilantro and dijon vinaigrette to pour onto your sandwich as you eat it. I don't know if something was wrong with my taste buds but I honestly didn't taste much of a difference with the garlic cilantro and dijon vinaigrette besides the vinaigrette being, well, more acidic. I couldn't have told you what was in the garlic cilantro was if I didn't know what kind of sauce it was. Otherwise, the sandwich clearly had fresh ingredients and was lovely to eat with several pours of the sauces. It does make me think that someone may not like the sauces, so it would help to have a couple more sauce choices if the sandwiches are not dressed. They nonetheless know a quality sandwich with bread that the French would find acceptable. I'd return to try a different sandwich if I'm in the area!

The name promises a crunch, but the bite was soft and flat. A dash of salt straight out of the fryer would fix this fast. The sirloin came out tough for a cut that thin. Sirloin should stay tender. This one didn't. The rice across every plate was a bit hard, like it sat too long before serving. Overall, the food felt lukewarm rather than fresh off the grill or fryer. Even the plates that looked good, like the chicken breast with egg and rice, and the salmon with salad, lost points for temperature. The grilled steak plate had good flavor, but it shared the same lukewarm, sit-too-long feel as the rest. Overall, a mixed meal. The croquetas earned their spot on the table.
