    Smoked salmon omelette
    Alice C.

This is great for a weekend rainy morning. The service is ok. There's street parking. Ordered a smoked salmon omelette, a French toast platter, a green juice and hot chocolate. Food is good, not as greasy. The amount is just right also.

Best over medium eggs I've had in Miami. Great espresso. Had a cute little table outside on a Saturday morning. The staff was very friendly. This is the way to start your weekend!

A hidden gem. The fact that this place was near empty on a Sunday late morning in the heart of downtown was astonishing to say the least and, so enjoyable. From the second I walked in I was sold. Finding a good coffee shop that sells GREAT food is so challenging in Miami- let alone in downtown. The food is made fresh, they use real eggs and fresh veggies. The variety of menu options was also nice as it has a bit of everything for everyone. Lastly, the vibe of this place is was sold me. The old school hip hop music, board games that are still well kept, nice and comfortable seating-- I am sold and will be coming back. Truly hoping this place stays open and, keeps its character

The place used to bear the name Borsalino's. According to the waitress, recently there was a change of ownership so the place received a facelift, but the menu stayed largely the same. The decor is a very welcoming family restaurant vibe, large windows, ample lighting, delicate tables. But I have to say the sofa for my table was too low position seating relative to the table, and I had to switch to the leather chair, even though I was merely dining myself. The place offers an all-day breakfast, brunch, and lunch menu, with classic brunch breakfast and brunch items, some options that lift up the class, and some Mexican/South American dishes as well. Service was very friendly and attentive. Drinks -Had a passion juice (passion fruit and strawberry mixed). Very nice juice, perfect for summer time. The addition of strawberry undermines the stimulating sourness of the passion fruit while keeping its signature tropical sweetness. Food -Short ribs Tartine: very nice dish. Cheesy eggs with hollandaise sauce on top of grilled slices of short ribs and a crispy toasted flat bread. Eggs were richly seasoned. Short ribs slices could be a bit dry for some, but the cheesy and sweet savory taste of the eggs compensated the beef texture very well. The bread was crispy on the outside and warm and soft in the center. One bite of three layers together and you get a feast of flavors and textures in your mouth. -Salmon bowl with quinoa: salmon cooked to perfection, slightly pink in the center but hot, went well with cajun sauce. Overall: Very enjoyable experience, or dare I say, surprisingly enjoyable experience for a quick brunch.

Ordered the Pork Benedict and it was so good! Pork was a little dry, but with the yoke from the poached egg, the balance was spot on! A+

I can't really say much more than it was simply delicious. If you have a chance to go and have some brunch here I definitely recommended service is decent but definitely the food is great and you won't have to wait hours for it. The ambience is cool and I highly recommend.

Food was good, coffee was great. Bill was terrible for what was ordered. I guess that's why it's a nice place.

Smashed Avocado Toast and Americano Coffee, YUM!!

We were in MIA for a baseball game, stayed at the JW Marriott downtown and we're disappointed with the coffee at the hotel. On our last morning in town, we walked over to Madda's Place after reading great reviews. First off, the ambiance is wonderful, like a quaint and comfortable coffee shop with a few comfy sofas and tables/chairs. We were greeted as we entered and choose our little table for 2. We were served water in a chilled glass bottle right away and then ordered coffee. We could hear our Americano coffee being made and it was fabulous! My hubby ordered the breakfast platter and I ordered the Smashed Avocado toast. My goodness! It was all delicious! My husband really loved the potato Galette that came with his breakfast and I loved the flavor of the avocado plus my scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly. I also enjoyed a perfect spring salad on the side. Our server was wonderful and the owner was very friendly and so appreciative that we stopped in. Madda's Place is a delight!

This spot is super cute with relaxed vibes. The owner was very attentive & kind. The food was delicious! Everything we tried was so good! I had the avocado toast & potato galette. My boyfriend had the French toast breakfast & chicken wings. 10/10.

I've been visiting a lot recently, and even joined their wine club which offers two curated wines a month. Locally owned and operated, I feel really good supporting a place that the owners put so much effort into to offer such a gem of a spot for locals. I've tried a lot of wines here, and I'm always amazed at finding something new to me that I enjoy. If you haven't been, it's the perfect place for a date, a girls night, or a day for yourself. They also have good snacks and charcuterie for you to munch on while you drink vino. Don't know much about wine? No problem. Their team will point you in the right direction and they have something for everyone. This is an approachable wine bar- they want you to enjoy the wine as much as they do and I love that about Magie. This spot has a nice indoor space and a beautiful outdoor area. They also have a sister location in the Grove.

There is a parking lot right on the side of the building, but if that lot is full, there is also street parking, and parking across the street in a lot behind the Citadel. The service here was great! All of the staff were very nice and welcoming. The set up of the lounge is also very cozy. There is plenty of space for people to sit whether you're on a date or with a small group, but seating is first come first serve, so if you're coming with a group it's better to get there earlier in the evening so you have a space comfortable enough for the size of your group. There is also indoor and outdoor seating which is nice. There are many wines to choose from and they also have a decent menu with light bites. We opted for the Dino nuggets and caviar which were a hit, the fried olives and some meats and cheeses with some cornishons, fig jam and a sliced baguette. Overall this place has a great vibe to it and I heard they host events every so often. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a nice space to chill with some friends and enjoy a nice spot in Miami.

I've come here quite a few times and often recommend it when meeting friends or colleagues, and for a while, it never failed me. Three visits ago, we had a larger group and noticed an extra item was added to the bill. 2 visits ago, while I should've learned my lesson to check the bill before paying, we had ANOTHER extra item added to the bill. While I do take accountability for not checking, our groups were large, so there wasn't much flexibility in doing that in the moment. While we were frustrated it happened twice in a row, our most recent visit really left a bad taste in my mouth. After paying the bill, we were asked by management to leave as it was a Saturday night, and they needed to seat others. If we were made aware that we would be on a time crunch BEFORE we were seated, I could've made a conscious to either stick around knowing I would get ushered out, or I would have chosen a completely different spot. As paying customers who are tipping for a nice service, it's really sad to see how customers are actually treated. As an extremely loyal customer to this place, I'm going to be taking a break as it's sadly been really disappointing me the last couple of times

The first location in the River is better imo because the location is bigger, there is plenty more seating than the Grove location. Although, I still enjoyed my time at this location as well. Sooo how it works is that you go inside and pick a bottle of wine from the fridges. You can also order by the glass if you aren't a big drinker or if you want to try different wines. The bottles are moderately priced depending on your selection. We chose an orange wine and it was nice, very refreshing, you can really get that citrus essence with every sip. Another thing that they have is that you can pick different cheeses and meats and they will build you a charcuterie board. I love this because it is all based on your selection, nothing will go to waste. They also have food you can order. A lot of people love the nuggets with caviar. I think they are decent imo but I'm not like in love with them. Parking can be a bit annoying... If there isn't street parking, you can also park in the garage. The service was good, the staff was friendly. The only thing that was a hassle was getting a table. We had to wait a bit in order for a table to become available. Overall, this spot is a very cozy place to hang and mingle with friends.

As others have stated, Magie is good in concept and we'll likely return here, but with just a bit…read moremore effort on their part this wine bar could be so much better IMO. Unlike some other reviewers that scoffed at the prices of the wine, that didn't bother me so much. We had a bottle here that cost $55 and it retails for about $28; I was OK with that, as all restaurants and wine bars have a markup above retail, and even when you go to spots like Happy Wine or El Carajo and pick out a bottle to drink while in their shop, they charge a corkage fee for that. What I did have a problem with is that, after the "service charge" and other fees were added on, our $55 bottle rang up to more than $73 in total, which was ludicrous. When we first arrived at Magie we were met by a young guy who pointed out the bottles and where the various charcuterie items are located in the coolers, and we were then pretty much left on our own. We really just wanted a glass of wine each, but unlike places like Vinoteca, here at Magie they had a very limited selection of wines by the glass, and the ones available all seemed to come in single-serve cans. We picked out a bottle to share, went to the register, paid and the guy opened it and handed us 2 glasses. When I returned to get napkins, the guy just motioned to where the napkins were so I could grab my own (after moving a delivery cart out of the way by myself so I could reach them). Again, though this place includes an automatic "service charge", we received zero actual "service" unless one considers the 45 seconds it takes to uncork our bottle and charge us for the purchase. We had a seat, had a glass of wine each and then re-corked our bottle of wine and took it with us. Overall I think Magie is a great concept with lots of potential. The inside seating area is interestingly decorated and outfitted with lots of eclectic furniture and items on the walls, and the relatively large patio seating out front with tables for 2 to 8 people is shielded from the adjacent street/traffic and shaded by lots of trees and greenery. The ambiance overall is really very nice. The service, however, was non-existent, especially considering the automatic charge for that, and while prices of at least some wines aren't terribly out of line, the fact that all the service charges, taxes and fees added $20 to the cost of our bottle was a bit of a shocker. Magie should consider adding more wines by the glass IMO. Not just subpar quality single-serve cans, but decent wines, poured from a proper bottle with a topper that preserves the wine between pours like most every quality wine bar commonly offers. Lastly, while I don't think anyone expects linen napkins and white glove service, the paper plates and plastic cutlery customers are given to eat with are a bit off vs. what this place appears to be trying to be and the prices charged. The "F*ck Brunch" positioning statement on the back of the staffs' shirts was an interesting touch.
