In these bonkers times you gotta get your treats where you can so I went looking for nice beers and vegan goodies. As usual in this region the treats are meat and dairy heavy but I like the Shawbridge beers so grabbed some of those, a vegan local Piri Piri sauce that I'm excited to try and then, at the counter, some vegan fruit candies that are actually so good. My hopes were not high but these are like Turkish delights from heaven made in house! The safety precautions were clearly in place, masks and plexiglass and sanitizer (oh my.) It's small, quick and cute and I hope it continues to expand the diversity of its local offerings to be able to continue to support the wonderful makers in the area.

The last time we were there we couldn't even enter the store, you were asked to prepare your list and to give it to a staff member who would prepare it all for you. The staff are quick, friendly and are clearly taking this situation seriously and I can't tell you how much that means to us. The peace of mind of knowing that your groceries hadn't been sneezed on by a million panic shoppers was 100% worth the wait. Bonus: we were able to buy an enormous, restaurant sized bag of flour. She and her husband worked with local food specialty business from all over the laurentian mountains to create a shop that highlights the best and most tasty local specialty food providers; including local coffee, fondue, pies, wines, bbq sauces, nuts, spreads and more. Very friendly staff and each table provides you with location and a bit of history on the local providers. The building looks a bit commercial in the winter but the walls open up in the spring to feel more like a local market. Great stop for snacks and unique local gifts to take home. Easy access from 117 and plenty of parking. Don't do like us and go in here starving after a day of downhill skiing - or you will end up with a lot of food.

They have beverages, condiments, herbal teas, jams, mushrooms, mustard, pickles, seasonings and spices made with Nordic ingredients. I spent some time browsing in the store since there are so many things I want to try. I bought some spices and teas. The cedar tea is so fragrant and healing, that I have the urge to plant a tree in my garden!

This location in Ste Agathe is cute and packed with goodness. The parking here is not ideal, it's mostly across the street with a very small zone for cars to swing in and pick up their groceries when they leave. During covid times they've encouraged folks to call ahead with their orders, they aren't touching cards or reusable bags, limiting their hours and the number of people in stores and providing washing stations and sterilizing cash and counters. J'ai lui ai tout de suite demandé ce qu'il avait dit. Il a nié le tout et a commencé à m'expliquer qu'il est le propriétaire et qu'il avait un demi millions en inventaire et qu'il n'aurait jamais dit ceci. Je l'ai clairement entendu. Je crois qu'il ne pensait pas que j'étais francophone. en tous cas ma famille et moi avons tous déposé nos articles et nous sommes sortis....très insultés. En passant, assez facile d'avoir un inventaire d'un demi-million quand tu vends une bouteille de sirop d'érable de 375ml à 340$. plus jamais nous remettrons les pieds dans ce magasin.

The Saint Sauveur location is a star child of this facelift. You're entering a 64,600 sq. ft. showpiece that is bright, well lit and spacious. Upon entering you'll first notice a massive patisserie counter with cupcakes, macarons and other gourmandises. Fresh produce will be a few steps behind. The new concept has a selection of "boutiques" along the perimeter, like a deli counter, charcuterie, oyster/shrimp bar and cheese counter with the prettiest 2 feet tall glass fridge containing an impressive array of local and imported cheeses. There is also a Joe Fresh collection of apparel for adults and children. The Loblaws/Provigo brand excels in going above and beyond to turn grocery shopping into an experience. The food is premium and gourmet, sampling stations are delish. Everything was taken into consideration, there's nothing boring or traditional about this store, even the floor is a popping orange. To make your shopping trip more enjoyable, the couple times I went over the holidays, they had a live jazz band playing! If you were dragged along and didn't feel like shopping, take a seat at the cantine and make use of their free wifi! Yes the prices are higher than what you would find at other grocery chains, this location caters to tourists and skiers - however if you're purchasing specialty goods, it is worth it, you'll find things that are uncommon elsewhere.
