I order caldo de res, when my husband paid they charge $18.99, for the soup they have on the menu for $10.99, I asked why is the doble the price, when I said that, the lady said the price go up if I want she can return the money, my husband go over there and she ask for the soup, my husband tell her we eat part of the soup, because the soup no was good, to fat, and she give back only $10.00 and she said she go to call the police to my husband. That is not the first time I had a problem with them about the price.

Looking for legit Mexican food? Look no further than La Canasta. The front of the establishment is a mom and pop grocery store. They carry everything from snacks and decor to pots and pans. Walk through the store towards the back. There, sandwiched between a wall of beverages and the meat/cheese counter are three tables. Have a seat. Someone will be by with a menu. (If you are looking to place a to go order stand at the meat counter.) Menu is both in Spanish and English. Menu has a bit of everything. Even some items not commonly seen on menus out here. I was given a few minutes to look over the menu, then they took my order. While my food cooked, two bottles of salsa were brought to my table. One was an orange-ish red. That is the spicy salsa. It has a nice roasted flavor with a burn that lingers for a bit. The green salsa is a tomatillo salsa. This one is vey classic. It is refreshing; not spicy at all. My burrito was stuffed. All the ingredients seemed fresh. If you want something to drink just grab it from the coolers. When you are done, head up to the register. Let them know what and how many bottles you grabbed. They will ring you up for both food, drinks and anything else you may want to buy all at once.

I stumbled across this little Mexican grocery store and restaurant by accident while looking for a different Mexican restaurant. Been stuck ever since! I'm totally addicted to their authentic steak tacos! They are perfectly seasoned with the right amount of cilantro and onions on a corn tortilla! Simple but yet delicious! I've found myself shopping at their grocery store while waiting on my food several times. If you enjoy making Spanish or Mexican dishes at home this is definitely the place to shop because they will have all those hard to find ingredients that you need! Every time I go it makes me feel like I took a quick trip to a little Mexican village with every bite! Yum

Amazing little hidden gem in colerain, the place itself is a Mexican store but it has a restaurant in the back and it's amazing, I recommend the Tacos and the huaraches but every dish there looks and tastes very good.

First time here and was not disappointed!!! This place has a small dining area in the back of the grocery store. They have a few tables set up in the back and sell fresh meat and produce. I ordered three tacos to go; al pastor, carnitas and lengua (cow tongue). Delicious . My order was fast and staff were very friendly!! I will definitely go back!!

You'd never think you were in America walking into this place. It's a Mexican grocery that doubles as a taqueria and a butcher shop offset from the street and very easy to drive by. They sell so many international foods, spices and products that I often come in to buy random Mexican treats with my tacos. This place is unbelievable! Beef tongue, trip, lamb and all the tradition meats are served with the tacos here and this ain't a lettuce and tomato type of spot. Please don't come Here looking for sour cream! You will be highly disappointed. Cilantro and onion are the only fixins here and it couldn't be better! Whoever you are..if you find yourself reading this, bookmark it. It's so worth it! I've been here a dozen times and can't believe I haven't written a review before now! #AuthenticTasteOfMexico!

It was so substantial that I only made it through half. I enjoyed it with chorizo, but for a modest surcharge, they will make it with brisket! The Al Pastor Hash was the standout. Excellent food, generous portions, and a memorable brunch experience. We'll definitely be back and look forward to trying more of the menu! We had the queso which is not your average. Its thick cheesy texture tucks inside of a small tortilla. So, not your typical chips and queso . The addition of a roasted jalapeno was brilliant! There was a DJ & a dance floor, but very few people were dancing, which was disappointing. The place itself was cool with colorful lights & fun graffiti-like walls, but the aesthetic was let down by the lack of people. We enjoyed the free popcorn & I really liked my drink, the downside up, although I realize it's probably too sweet for most. Unfortunately, the cocktail & popcorn didn't make up for the dead atmosphere & we left pretty quickly. I would be interested in going again & seeing what it would be like when it's lively; I imagine it would be a fun spot when the dance floor is full!

Some things are out of your control, but still I would've enjoyed my food more if I could have sat and ate it. This place feels a little light a hole in the wall in downtown Cincinnati. It does not have lots of tables, it is unassuming on the outside, and the menu is simple. We were drawn to it, even with the long lines because of all of the game goers. Considering its size and the line, we did not wait an unreasonable amount of time to order and then receive our food. Everyone orders at the counter so you have to go through one at a time and wait for everyone before you to decide their orders. The food is then called out and you have to go get it. This system probably helped our situation and made things move faster. I got their signature turtle, which is basically a large crunch wrap, with chicken served southwest style. It was awesome but very large! We were going out after and did not want to carry leftover boxes, so I ate it all and kind of regretted it after. But I simply could not stop cause the food was so good! The prices are also fair and they have plenty of beer and cocktails to offer from their bar. I would love to come back here on a quieter night so we can sit and enjoy the food wholly, perhaps with a beverage as well.

Service: 4.7/5 Very friendly! They course out your plates for you which I always love. They were able to accommodate my pescatarian diet (I.e., meats on the side to give to others at the table). On a less busy night, they offered a free toast for my birthday. I've been for other celebratory dinners here on busier nights where that hasn't happened, so it was a lovely surprise! Ambiance: 4/5 A little busy and can get loud on the weekends with table chatter, cutlery clinks, and the brick walls echoing noise around. Tables are also close together, so you can definitely hear the conversation next to you. The decor is pleasant and the lighting is soft and romantic enough that it is still a perfect date night spot!
