Very small Lob tail & 6oz steak.
    Mark B.

They sat 4 awholes right next to me in a completely empty 2nd floor seating. No cold glass with my Bohemia beer. Ordered Guacamole and chips and got Guac with 4 chips. Chips and Salsa finally arrived and got some red puree in one cup and chopped, dried chopped tomatoes in another cup. Lob was on the small side. Nothing like Puerto Neuvo around K38 South of Rosario. The steak was OK. Got a complementary shot of Blanco. Tasting it instantly reminded me of Tijuana in the 70's. Got a Flan, no syrup. Bland. The 4 awhile behind me are demanding cocktail sauce for their shrimp, WTF do they think they are??? Come to find out when I get the bill, the Blanco was NOT free. I will not come back.....

This place is gass, must eat when in playa. Excellent flavor and great price, would recommend to anyone wanting good seafood. Ask for Gabriel and hell take care of you.

Excellent service excellent food! Homemade guac at your table. Great Waiters! Great view. Definitely a great place to check out. Won't be disappointed. Even being a vegetarian they made sure they made the food perfect for us.

Food is absolutely amazing!!! Steak was cooked perfectly, mashed potatoes were flavorful and the stuffed mozzarella shrimp was delicious. They have a cute bar with swings as seats of you can eat at the rooftop. Interior was a little worn but nothing crazy. Perfect for a casual dinner.

Our server Juanito was excellent! We had an wonderful dinner experience. Service was amazing, Mexican green salad was on point and main dish was very tasty. We had the Plato Caprichozo Mexicano for 2. Guacamole was fresh and flavorful! Come by to a live outdoor atmosphere, a place for the whole family!

Cruz was amazing during our visit!!! The grac is to die for!!!! Margs are awesome and location is outstanding.

    Steak being cooked table side

They were able to seat ten of us immediately. The food was very reasonably priced. My significant other is a rancher from Texas and he thoroughly enjoyed his steak that was cooked tableside. The rest of the food was very good with large portions. The wait staff was very prompt and it was overall excellent service.

We went here a couple times just for the drink specials. 2 for 1 drinks during happy hour. Excellent drinks, friendly service, and all drinks are served on the waiter's head...literally. The first visit, we were able to convince them to include Herradura margaritas in their 2 for 1 special. It came down to $3.50 USD or so for each margarita. Insane. The second time, the manager insisted we only get house tequila in the margarita, but that was actually pretty good and still 100% blue agave. Fun, festive place, central location on 5th ave, great balcony seating, and you can't beat the happy hour prices! Note, the entrance is slightly hidden, as the restaurant is upstairs only. Just look for the sign and/or the guy inviting you to dine in.

They kept delivering our drinks and items on their heads so our 5 year old decided to copy.

We ended up choosing the place initially because the guy outside was so kind and funny. I can appreciate a good hustle so I was down. Everything exceeded my expectations! Exceptional service with amazing food, show stoppers galore, and very delicious drinks! Everything was fantastic. The servers had us rolling and were so attentive and kept doing extra special things for us. We all felt very important. They took our pictures and put them on tequila bottles and in a picture frame for us to have the option to purchase. I appreciated them so much and they did such a great job that we bought them all.

I really enjoyed this place everything was great The only thing that I did not really like was the chips they were to dry and hard. Some guy named Pancho asked if he could take a picture we said yes. Later he came back with a tequila bottle with our picture on it and yes we bought it! After that we got some dessert I got a crepe with a caramel sauce. Sofia got flambéed strawberries. She said it was pretty good. Well we always have to come to an end. Check it out

This was our first night in Playa del Carmen. I don't know how but we find this authentic restaurant and to placed on the second level so we can enjoy the view on "Quinta avenida". The service is excellent. Every drink was served in style. The server Pedro served the drinks on top of his head:) was exciting experience. Their food is delicious! If you like to enjoy a great food and authentic Mexican 5***** service, this restaurant posses all of those.

We were looking for taco places for lunch during a day trip to Playa del Carmen. This restaurant…read morewas located around the centre of the famous commerical walking district. The price was expected to inflate in the tourist area according to our tour guide (200+ peso per dish). The restaurant also offered live music at your expense. We tried their meat taco and fish taco. Both were decent. The mashed bean also tasted yummy. We were quite satisfied with the flavour and portion of our food.

Bathroom smelled like lemons, toilet flushed nicely too. Anyways this food went hard and I strongly…read morerecommend anyone that is strolling through this city to visit this restaurant. I guarantee it will not disappoint. We actually went recommended this place from some od the locals we befriended and I'm glad they sent us our way. The location of the restaurant is on the second story of a building overlooking 5th Avenue. It's a great view of the spa and some landmarks as well. Our waiter was amazing and brought us the best chips and salsa. The salsa was not too soft and the tortilla chips tasted very fresh and crispy. Our main dish arrived fast and hot off the skillet. These fajitas reminded me of the first time I had authentic Mexican food when I was growing up in San Antonio, I felt like that critic guy in Ratatouille when I took my first bite lol. Flavor was central to each of the components. The seasoning and marination of the chick and steak was perfection. They came out juicy, tender, and a nice crust and grill markings. The shrimp were grilled to perfection. And they really had the best flour tortillas I've ever had. Price was more than fair and there was even the option to be serenaded during the meal. 10/10, I really will miss this place and will be sure the come back anytime that I visit Playa Del Carmen in the future

Great experience last Friday night at this Michinlin Bib restaurant. So glad I stopped by this…read moreplace is bomb and super not pretentious! Wish I got the tasting menu but I opted for 3 of the specialties instead and they were delicious... Tasting menu is best value tho! I got the raw trout sashimi thing and it was by far the best plate of the meal (first dish/appetizer) , then got the shrimp flautas (good not amazing) then I got the trout loin for the entree (good not amazing) Skinny marg was perfect and so was the waitress! Would recommend and go back but like I said I would for sure do with the 6 or 8 course tasting menu!

Okay, where do I start…read more I made a reservation about a month before our trip, they were already pretty booked so I made a 4:45pm. I somehow missed that the coursed meal doesn't start until 6...and we didn't realize until same day. They couldn't rebook us until 9PM but told us to swing by early to see if they could get us in AND THEY DID. It was a Christmas miracle. And I'm glad they did because the whole experience was about 2.5 hours from start to finish. The place isn't very big, but is beautiful inside. They have an awesome bar and and open kitchen so you can see everything. It's a really neat place. We were seated pretty quick once they got the table cleaned, and then were greeted by our waitress. When we told her we were there for the 8 course meal, they switched waiters on us, and then the upselling started. Right off the bat they tried to talk us into a cocktail...when we were doing a pairing with our meal. It took them a little time to get the meal going, and then between courses was a little hit or miss. Sometimes it was free flowing and sometimes it took 10-15 minutes to get our next dish. The food. We were a little nervous we would leave still a little hungry but I assure you, you will not. For ~$100USD each, you get so much food, and a drink with every course. It was fantastic and so worth it. Here were the courses and pairings (that I can remember lol): 1. We started with the dips - a bean dip with cheese sauce and guacamole with crickets. Very classic, very well done. The crickets added a nice, nutty flavor. I was a huge fan of the beans with their blue corn tostadas, so much flavor. They also had a third dip that was pumpkin seed based, it was good but not as memorable. Their hot sauces came out with this course. It was paired with a house mezcal (with salts, cucumber, and orange) that was incredible and smooth. 2. Shrimp ceviche which was super refreshing and flavorful. They paired this with sparkling wine. 3. Sea bass with a cream sauce and grapefruit. I'm not a huge fishy flavor person - my first bite had all three compnents and I thought it was delicious. My husband just had fish as his first bite and thought it a little fishy, but once we added everything else he agreed it was great. Three small pieces, so it was a nice course. Paired with a sauv blanc. 4. Roasted tomatoes in a mole sauce. A nice veggie course. I thought they were cooked well, nothing super fancy. Paired with a Chardonnay. 5. Cooked shrimp with potatoes. My husband called this a "filler" course - there wasn't much to it. The sauce had some greens in it but it was just something light and easy to serve. Can't remember the pairing here. 6. THE CARROTS. MY FAV THING. OMG. Literally so fresh, the perfect texture, and the sauces. I could have eated a whole bowl with this one. Paired it with a red blend. 7. Cow tongue. I forgot a photo. I was starting to get drunk, I'm sorry. Paired with a red wine. This was tender, the sauce was delicious. If you're not used to beef tongue, please don't let it scare you. It was amazing. 8. Dessert. Also amazing. I think it was paired with a sweet red but....a little drunk here...we got a cheesecake which was more on the savory side, super unique, and so delicious. I was a huge fan. We also got a passion fruit custard and I'm a SUCKER for passion fruit. This was phenomenal. The food was INCREDIBLE. And such an amazing experience. And now the loss of a star. I hit on the service a little, but there was also some upselling which we don't love, especially at what is supposed to be michelin recognized. We often try Michelin recognized when we travel and the upselling was unexpected, I undertsand the culture down here, but still. ALSO we LOVED the house mezcal so much we asked for another shot ($280 pesos/shot). When we got the bill, the waiter upcharged to one of the most expensive mezcals on their menu ($520 pesos/shot) and refused to change it. We spent $60 on two shots after paying for our 8-course meal. It honestly was SUCH a dissapointing end to our meal and felt so icky. Be very careful with the service here.
