Steak and sauce is good. Good portion for lunch menu. Ask for the chili sauce ... it's excellent. Service is okay, it was busy day. The ambiance is ok for me, clean thats what I'm looking for.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant. It seems to want to spend a Pizza Hut judging by the design. But that's neither here nor there. What I found surprising and very pleasant is that the seats and the table at the booth's have plenty of room. Amazing! They had pretty good salsa and chips. I prefer my salsa a little chunkier but this seems to be the norm. Ordered off the lunch menu and got the chili relleno and tostada lunch. It was very good and well priced. Overall I like the restaurant and I will be trying it again.

    This is there nachos!

The picture is there nachos pool of cheese and maybe 5 chips, meat there was very little and tasted strange. Really 3.75 for a fountain drink and the server never checked if we need a refill.

Lunch time! Their lunch specials are about $7. Fast food prices with way better quality food!

I used to love this place so much! The last few times we've been there, the consistency is not there and the food is never right. Sometimes it's dry, sometimes over done, sometimes not done enough. I've moved on for Winchester Mexican.

    Chips and salsa ... yummy

Glad I tried this mom and pop place but the food lacked major flavor. Food is fresh and tastes home made. The flavors are plain meaning not overly salty or spicy. I dumped the entire salsa on my food. It was delicious and fresh. The pico degallo is made with fresh avocado, onions garlic tomatoes (I've never had pico with avocadoes in it so it reminds me of guacamole) $3.95 for a good size amount. The guacamole has sour cream mixed in it. I preferred the pico. So no need to get this appetizer it will come with most food options The chicken fajita came with pinto beans (vegetarian style and not overly salty) , guacamole salad with sour cream was OK & Mexican rice was basic/plain. (choice of flour or corn tortilla) the chicken was dry but when I added the salsa it was yum. Grilled onions bell peppers and tomatoes accompanied the chicken. A lot of food for 11.95. The shrimp fajitas were ok. The shrimp was boiled and tasted very light. $14.50 for this ok dish. Too bad they didn't have black beans to try but then again I'm OK with minimal musical legumes. Toot toot. Free soda with a check in :) I would not take a trip out of the way for this place but if you're in the area check it out.

Taqueria Guadalajara has a bit of a tucked away location just on the outskirts of Winchester,…read morewhich gives it that standalone, local spot feel. While having its own building is a plus, parking can quickly become a headache during busy hours, so timing your visit makes a difference. Walking in, there wasn't a host present, which made the entrance feel a little unorganized at first. However, a server quickly stepped in and pointed us in the right direction. From there, the experience improved the service was genuinely friendly and attentive, which helped set a positive tone for the meal. The burrito was the highlight. It came out well prepared with solid flavor throughout, even though it didn't include any sides. Normally, that might feel like something is missing, but the taste was good enough to carry the dish on its own. Pricing leans a bit on the higher side, which is something to keep in mind, especially given the lack of extras. Overall, Taqueria Guadalajara delivers where it matters most good flavor and friendly service even if it has a few logistical hiccups like parking and the initial lack of greeting. It's the kind of place that leaves you debating between a 4 and a 5, but the quality of the food ultimately pushes it into 5-star territory

Salsa continues to be delicious (albeit punishing the next day), and of my three tacos, carnitas was the only one to write home about. Pescado was fishy (not in the good way), and the al pastor was, again, just okay. Pointed out my chipped water glass to the server, who was apologetic and promptly replaced it. Best tacos in the area continue to be Los Altos de Jalisco in Winchester. I said what I said.

The mashed potatoes on the side were smooth and loaded with flavor, and the Spanish rice was spot on as always, fluffy, well-seasoned, and the perfect complement to the whole plate. My dining partner went with the enchiladas, and honestly they were a showstopper. One smothered in green salsa, one in red mole sauce, both drizzled with crema and crumbled cotija cheese, the presentation alone was beautiful, almost like the Mexican flag on a plate! The flavor combination was incredible, with each sauce bringing something totally different to the table. The portions are generous, the food comes out hot, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Whether you're in the mood for something classic or want to try something a little more traditional, El Ranchero has you covered. Everything we tried was flavorful and well prepared, and it delivered that homemade, authentic taste you hope for when you walk into a place like this. The location itself is a big plus. It's spacious, and they even have a separate room for large parties, which makes it a great option for groups or celebrations. I ordered a burrito, and the portion size was generous easily enough to leave you full. The food overall was delicious and felt worth the price. There were a few downsides on this visit. They don't offer complimentary chips and salsa, which was a little disappointing, and the servers weren't especially attentive, so service felt a bit slow at times. There was also a nearby table where kids were laying on the floor, which was a little distracting and took away from the dining experience. Overall, still a solid spot if you're looking for authentic Mexican food with big portions and plenty of space, especially for larger groups just don't expect the extras or super attentive service.

I was pleasantly surprised with this experience. I ordered the chicken enchiladas with the molé sauce and my friend ordered the shrimp tacos. The presentation of the enchiladas was impressive and the shrimp tacos looked tasty! I loved the sauce on my dish and the cheese/queso. I was full after 2 and a half of the enchiladas. It came with 4. My friend filled up on 2/3 of the tacos. Soni was our server and she did amazing! She was sure to keep our waters filled and was consistently checking in with us. The cleanliness of the restaurant and bathrooms were still impressive, despite a couple of crumbs on the table when we sat down. The chips and salsa were still my favorite part. I can be pretty picky when it comes to salsa but I love the texture and taste of this salsa. The chips always come out crispy and fresh! We were there at lunch time and the restaurant was not super busy. I'm glad I gave them another try! My husband and I love mexican food and were excited to try this location. I was very pleased with the environment when we walked in. The staff was welcoming and the restaurant was beautiful. I was excited to get seated in a booth immediately on a Friday at around 5. I will also say that the bathrooms were incredibly clean! My husband and I both ordered tacos, but we were disappointed to find out they were out of the Birria tacos. I was shocked because it seemed early enough on a Friday for them to not be running out of items. I ordered chicken tacos and was not impressed. They were very bland and didn't come with much to add to the chicken and tortilla although, the plate was presented beautifully. My husband ordered the fish tacos and while he did enjoy them, they were also quite underwhelming. The service was not exceptional. I had to ask for water multiple times and as I was once a waitress myself, I was always taught water should be served immediately. I also had to remind my waitress 2 times that we had ordered the queso. It didn't come out until we had already received our food. Despite this, the chips and salsa were actually quite tasty and kept us satisfied. The server did bring more chips when we were getting low and was attentive to my soda and my husbands beer. I did feel the waitress could've been more attentive, but she was very kind and cheerful. I feel it's also important to note that the restaurant did not seem to be busy. I was happy to find that for two orders of tacos, a beer, and a soda, the bill was roughly $50, plus a $10 tip. While my husband and I prefer other Mexican restaurants in the area, I am glad we got to experience El Habanero.
