We really enjoyed our visit here! The food was good, the decor was cool, and the service was excellent. We started out with drinks and chips with salsa. We liked it all! My margarita was huge. I ordered the enchiladas with three different sauces and they were all delicious. The rice tasted good too, not too dry. My boyfriend really liked his food as well. It was the perfect date night!

Im surprised to read any reviews that report anything but amazing food. We happened upon this place almost accidentally a couple months ago. The food was SO GOOD that I made a special trip (over an hour drive) just to bring my Mom for dinner. I've traveled in Mexico and had lots of Mexican cuisine in our area. This. Is. The. Best. PERIOD. Try the Burrito Frida Kahlo. You can thank me later. Thanks to Sarah for taking care of us with personal attention! I like your style! We'll be back!!

This place seems to be consistent the 4 times I have been there. The location has potential to be awesome, although do feel they need too add More tables and less booths. On to the food, the food is good and large portions. The Beer-tomato-hot sauce concoction, which I believe is the Michecleada ( spelling is wrong for sure) is amazing! One last thing on the location, because it is in a mall they should have one or two designated spots for pick up orders.

The name tells you what to expect inside - the whole place is decorated as a shrine to Frida Kahlo and it is a beautiful tribute to her. I have been to this restaurant 3 times, and every time has been a great eating experience. The food is amazing and their margaritas are delicious. The guacamole is fresh, with fresh pico covering the guac. It is a pretty small serving though, so guac lovers may need more than one serving. The queso is flavorful and found in most of the meals. I have ordered different meals each time, and they have all been great. My all time favorite is the Burrito Frida Kahlo. It has steak, chicken, and beans and it is covered with pineapples and queso fundido (cheese and chorizo). The price is very reasonable for the quality of food - our last trip for 4 people with meals, queso, queso fundido, and guac was around $80 (drinks not included in that). If you are in Ashtabula and in the mood for Mexican cuisine, I highly recommend La Casa de Frida.

The dough is so fresh - the sauce sweet but not, tangy but not spicy, true tomato weight and depth - guessing San Marzano tomatoes. The menu offerings allowed our whole family to try pizza they would love (and best compare to other places) and they have my favorite topping ever that NO ONE gets - cupping pepperoni!!! Thank you! Thank you for coming a lil bit down from the Madison start but closer ish to when you guys were at Duffys - yup we love you hahaha, long time eater first time writer ‍and what finally made me stop being quiet was your lunch today. Went on a Friday night at dinner time and was delighted to find more than enough off street parking, although on street would have been fine to me. Inside I appreciated the cozy yet updated interior, wonderful lighting, and the ease at which we were able to find a table. The small selection of beers on tap had just what we wanted - a mix of some classic standards and some of the best local craft beer around. The wine and liquor menu was impressive too and all extremely reasonably priced, as was the beer. It was hard to pick just a few things from the menu but tried the salad with the garlic dressing and oh my goodness! One of the best salads ever! I shared it with my husband and the server kindly accommodated us and brought us extra plates and tongs and everything we needed to feel settled. We each ordered a pizza and both were fantastic. We prefer hand tossed Neapolitan style pizza, of which this is not (it's more old world, thin and crispy deep dish) but it was still delicious. We appreciated the amazing pepperoni - unlike anything ever and much better than anything I've ever had, as well as the locally raised and processed sausage . On top of the food and drinks being delicious we received very kind and efficient service that really made our night! The chef checked on us and thanked us for coming in. We couldn't have asked for anything more and we'll look forward to returning soon! We're glad that there is a locally-focused and historic place like this in our region. Highly recommend!
