Raiden (?) and family who hail from the Philippines are friendly, helpful and keep the place spick and span for the owners. The honesty bar is a lovely feature as is the ability to make tea/coffee and the place has been fitted out with style. We would agree that the lighting in our bedroom was poor and for a place that celebrates books, this is a shame. All it needs is two good angle lamps in the bedroom and the situation is resolved. The shower was impressive, but sadly some of the modern features were showing there age in the bathroom, with dents on the fixtures and mold starting in the shower area.
That said the bed was very comfortable and the place was quiet. The simple breakfast offered was both tasty and fresh, and the dining area was again very creatively designed.
We did notice that there seemed to be no a/c in our bedroom, which in the height of summer may be an issue, but in May it was no problem. read more
