I started to throw up and stopped my husband and myself from eating my second course. They charged me for the entire, uneaten meal. I threw up 3x on the roadside going back to the hotel, and 3 more times in the hotel. I had a doctor the next day. H said maybe it was only one mushroom, but it made me very sick & staff was no helo. The hotel called the restaurant the next day, and they said no one else was sick. I don;t care- I WAS VERY SICK FROM MUSHROOMS AT THIS RESTAURANT.

Both were delicious but I really enjoyed the prawns. They were huge and crunchy. I had the Dauradeen filet, poireau rôti au feu de bois, câpres et citron (sea brim) as my entree. The fish was fresh and the sauce perfectly complimented the dish. My husband enjoyed Poulpe rôti,tomate à la niçoise, eau de tomate épicée (roasted octopus). It was not a combination he had ever tried and really enjoyed it. When you walk to your seat you will pass a large case full of beautiful desserts. While I do love all those beaches for different reasons, and really if you're hanging at the beach, life is still pretty good no matter which one you choose to chill at, La Mala is a cut above the rest. Definitely geared towards a younger high society crowd, the vibe is still amazing. However one downfall is that there isn't sand. It's rocks. So plan on bringing your water shoes. The presentation was nice and the fruit was refreshing under the hot sun. Actually this is the only dish I got a pic of. Pizza Magherita: any Yelper from San Francisco is probably an expert in Magherita pizzas by now. The Magherita pizza at La Reserve was the best I've had yet. Chicken Caesar Salad: I didn't try the salad but a couple of my friends did. They said it was really good. We continued drinking and enjoying the beach but there wasnt much of an atmosphere, no music :/ we wanted to get a couples massage but they only had one masseuse but I would like to note that she was the nicest person working at that establishment and so she deserves a mention. We ended up spending around $250 and wouldve spent much more if the service and atmosphere were good. At the end of our visit the server said oh theres no pin to your card I can just charge it to $500 yeah and I just laughed nervously because I was uncomfortable. They have Italian items on the menu and French as well but damn that burger I really liked it that much. Funny thing is I like to try variety of things but serious I like their burger that much. The caramelized onions have to be one good thing as well as the meat quality. I'll get it again next time.... Beer cold, Aperol spritz was made very well as well. The 2 bottles of Provence Rosé on a beautiful Mediterranean afternoon certainly didn't hurt either. Our lunch party all seemed to enjoy their food though we were all hungry after several hours on the beach. The only negative experience was a couple of tables of smokers which is not unusual in France, though. After reading some of these other reviews I'm just glad we were lucky to have a good overall experience.
