We ate there a couple of days ago. We were seated quickly and the chips arrived promptly. Our drink order was taken and the drinks came a short time later. So far so good. The menu was extensive so it took awhile for our party to make our choices. Once we ordered the food was on the table soon. I must say that due to the many favorable recommendations I anticipated great food. I was disappointed. None of our party liked what they received. La Cazuela is pretty good. For this to be Tex Mex and a fast sit down concept, the food is decent. My husband loves Mexican and this is not far from our house so it's a win win! The staff is always really nice and the customer service is good and fast. Like many Mexican restaurants, they usually bring chips and salsa to the table. Here is no different, but what is different is they also bring cheese dip with refined beans on the bottom. It's very good. I love this about them. You don't get that anywhere else. You always have to ask for cheese dip, but not here. We came here twice and tried a few different dishes. We have ordered Enchiladas, Quesadillas, Combination Meal (1 taco and 1 enchilada), Kid's Quesadilla Meal and Kid's Grilled Cheese. For the most part, their food has flavor and they give you a nice size portion per plate. I would say my least favorite meal was probably the quesadilla. Mainly because they way they have it set up. They just bring out the tortilla filled with chicken and cheese and you have to put or "build" everything else on (I.e. pico, sour cream, lettuce, salsa). Other than this I don't have many complaints about their food. Overall, for the concept and type of food La Cazuela is, it's pretty good! They are also quick. I love my Mexican food. I usually frequent el rancho grande when I need my Mexican food fix but my sister and I wanted to try somewhere new for once and this place had good lunch specials and it's only down the street from our house. When we walked in we were seated immediately and the decor is pretty standard when at a Mexican restaurant. I'm a die hard fajitas guy when I get Mexican food but then everything changed when I saw someone order this huge cast iron pot filled with meat walk past me. I had no idea what it was but I knew I had to get it. I asked the server and he informed me it was the Molcajete, a authentic Mexican meal. I ordered it with no complaints even tho I went initially for the lunch special. Let me tell you, this meal might've single handedly won me over to go here instead of el rancho for awhile . This meal is filled with chorizo in the center then surrounded by strips of chicken, steak and cheese as well a a bacon wrapped jalepeno! It came out HOT. It was hard to eat initially because it needed to cool down which isn't an easy feat because the pot holds in a lot of heat! Short story- the frozen margaritas are WAY better than the last restaurant I reviewed - on the rocks not so great. I also did not partake in the food, but did try a piece of shrimp from a fajita - tasted good. The food itself didn't look appetizing, but I'd come back for the frozen drinks for sure. Came for Taco Tuesday yesterday. It was $1 tacos with a taco bar to add your own toppings. I got steak, chicken and alpastor tacos on corn tortillas with cheese. At the bar they have pico, cilantro, onion, lettuce, verde and red sauce, and sour cream to top your tacos. The alpastor was my favorite but they were all good and a really good value. I love stopping here for dinner when I'm in the Bridgewater Falls area! Service is always friendly and the food is fantastic. The chips and salsa are homemade, the ingredients are always fresh, and the food always arrives fast. Everything I've tried has been great. I've had the enchiladas, the tacos, and the burritos. The refried beans and rice are very good, too. They serve refried beans with the chips & salsa. Prices are reasonable and kids eat free in the evenings. Festive decor! Their salsa is super fresh! The flavors are clean with nice, big pieces of cilantro. Chips could definitely use some salt, though. I am a creature of habit, so I've only had the chicken fajitas. They are super tasty, though, and good portions. Frozen margaritas were pretty watered down... Not much flavor at all! I went there because I was running errands on St. Patrick Day morning. I noticed they were having green beer deals and decided to take that family in. My wife went with the chicken taco salad and I decided to try the pollo con mole on the server's recommendation. The kids both had the taco meal. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was fun and very clean. They meals arrived super quick. Almost too quick. I was not even halfway through my 32oz green Pacifico. The mole was fantastic! It was the right balance of sweet and savory. My wife raved about the taco salad and said the chicken was the best she had anywhere. The guacamole and cheese dips were very good as well although I would have liked more seasoning to my queso... The meal ended with fried ice cream that was a hit with the kids. The food was fresh and tasty and they had better deals then the places closer to our house. We will definitely be back!! read more

I absolutely adore this place! Service is always fantastic. I've always been seated the second I walk through the door and food comes quickly even when the place is packed to the gills. I really recommend the cheese dip for the appetizer, which is cheap, and their quesadillas are great as well! The place is always clean and its a typical but fun Mexican atmosphere. Solid mexican fare with really good tasting margaritas! I had fish tacos that were fresh and tasty. I had two different margaritas...the house one, okay but didn't have enough "kick" for me so ordered the premium Cadillac and it was perfect. My husband had a steak entree with mushrooms and he said it was one of the more flavorful steaks he has had at a Mexican place. The bean dip they bring with chips is a nice touch the positives end there. The beer was not very cold on draft and the Baja tacos were terrible. The Mahi Mahi looked dry and old and tasted the same. There was very little seasoning on them and they were completely covered in a dressing that eliminated any taste of the fish. I can honestly cook better fish tacos at home with frozen Tilapia. Water seems to be a main ingredient here, in a bad way. Chile relleno tastes like cardboard, DO NOT ORDER THEM. It was all I could do to try to stomach a few bites to make sure it wasn't my taste buds. Nope. Think they breaded it in cardboard flakes. On the upside, the mole sauce was very tasty, some of the better I have had at this type of Mexican American restaurants. My in-laws love to go here with large groups. It's affordable, they have decent food, service is fast and usually have some type of dining or drink special. We most often get the fajitas: veggies for the vegetarian and mixed meat for everyone else. It is usually cooked very well although we've had issues with some chicken being found in the vegetarian fajitas (so we make sure to check through before eating). My son loves the kids burrito and (hard) taco with chicken. I love the salsa. It has just a little spice - so the kids still enjoy it - and a lot of cilantro, which I love. I can also order extra mole which I always appreciate. The staff is always very friendly and service is fast. I don't think we've ever waited more than 10 minutes for food even with a large group. My favorite menu items are the three tacos (steak or fish, lots of onions served with corn tortillas) and the chicken mole. We usually end up ordering a few margaritas as well. I've seem then use both a mix and mix it from scratch, so you might want to make sure you get the version you want (if you care). The $60-for-$30 is our favorite special as it makes is very affordable for a group (esp. since the deal includes alcohol). Definitely give it a try. read more

Really like the manager but tonight he was really flustered but didn't offer a simple apology. Not characteristic of him. Use to love this place but it has gone down hill.
