I am an Armenian-American and most of my husband's family belongs to Christian Lutheran denomination. This was the first reason we wanted to have a Lutheran ceremony. Another reason is that the Lutheran church offers a specific beautiful ceremony for married couples who want to renew their marriage vows. And the third reason, important to me personally, which I think I need to mention is the fact that Lutheran church helped many orphaned Armenian children who were victims of the Armenian genocide.
