All 3 of our dishes were terrible tonight. Stale chips, food bland, no seasoning, no cheese on top the enchiladas and the chile relleno's were not cooked enough. My husband ran to the bathroom the second we got home. I hope we all don't get food poisoning. We used to like the food there, but the whole place feels dirty and run down now. Also, I'm not sure why they have bright fluorescent lights over the tables that blind you. They belong in a garage not in a restaurant. We were visiting the area from NC, and were taken here by some local friends. Our friends just told us "everything is good here", so we were left to our own devices to pick out what to eat. My husband got the Hawaiian fajitas-chicken, pineapple, and cheese sauce only and I got the California Skillet-Beef. My husband ate all of his main course (not the rice, refried beans, guacamole, salad that comes with it though) and said it was delicious. I ordered mine just the way it comes on the menu and it was amazing! I honestly think it was the best Mexican dish I have had in YEARS! It was superb and I would highly suggest it to anyone that likes allllll those ingredients separately, you'll love them all together...try them! Unfortunately, we were all to hungry to remember to take pictures, but we aren't sorry. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the fact our service was slow and seemed very scattered...we don't actually know which person was our waiter or waitress and it seemed there was no cohesive thought with who was waiting tables. The food is usually pretty great! There are off days when service isn't perfect but otherwise the food is good. The decorations are fun and authentic. If you need a fajita and a taco salad fix, this is a good place to start. Right off of 40 makes it easy to find. read more

*Disclaimer* I moved here from Texas where we had some excellent Tex-Mex spots and I've had some incredible authentic Mexican food as well. This rating is disregarding those experiences and is considering the level of "Mexican" food that is local to this area. In Clarksville, of the Mexican food places - which there are plenty - this is one of the top 3 spots next to La Michoacana and El Molcajete (I call El Mo's). The food quality is very good for what you're paying. Between El Mo's and La Chiquita, El Mo's is cheaper with better salsa, but La Chiquita's food is a bit better, overall. La Michoacana is closest to authentic Mexican food and I prefer La Michoacana myself, but I tend to go to El Mo's or La Chiquita more with my kids. At La Chiquita, I pretty much only order the fajitas or the Chile Colorado. Everything else I've tried has been just ok or I didn't like it at all (quesadillas I do not recommend, oddly enough). The service is consistently pretty attentive and quick. There's nothing really special about the ambiance. It's a local-to-the-region Mexican place and has a strong local clientele. read more

The food wasn't good at all the beans tastes like really old and the meat is post to be marinated but it wasn't and the chicken taste from a can and the shrimps really old and the waitress forgot the two really hot sauce that we ordered and we asked for sliced jalapeños but they prong of one jalapeño home and that sliced and the most me onto my food taste like baby food and not very good and the rice was not even good at all don't go there unless you want to get sick well my husband did with his stomach last night read more

The restaurant is very nice from the outside and the hand carved wooden booths inside were beautiful. The service was so fast and we received our food in less than 10 minutes. We had chili Colorado and shrimp fajitas. Both dishes were excellent and very flavorful. read more

Just for context, I live, and grew up, in San Diego. I have had a lot of good, and bad, Mexican food, and what I like to call "white" Mexican food. When I walked into this place and saw the tequila bar, I could tell this place is NOT the latter! Starting with a margarita, followed by the chips and salsa, and a brilliant garlic shrimp dish that I devoured, everything about this place was legit. I would wager that most of the staff was family as everyone seemed to work together, and cover all the tables to make sure that every table was well taken care of. Everyone in our group ordered and ate something different, and we all enjoyed our dinners immensely. I can see why my colleague recommended this place. read more

After several disappointing visits this place is off the return list. Slow, terribly slow service. The wait staff must be flagged down to get refills or additional items. When the food comes out there seems to be a long wait for everyone is served. On a recent Sunday lunch visit, the owner was questioned about the long wait for food and his response was there are just "too many Americans today". This place was just a short walk from my hotel so I gave it a try. I was not disappointed. I was quickly seated and had attentive service. The place is popular, was doing great business that night. I ordered a beer and a glass of water. Chips and salsa arrived. I ordered the Cameron's ala Diablo (shrimp with secret Devil sauce/marinade). It quick arrived too. I really enjoyed it. The sweat poured off my face! How can I describe it? Nicely spicy but not hot, despite my sweat. Came with tortilla's, avocado, tomatoes, lettuce and some rice and beans too. All for around $16.00. Best Mexican Food in town! (And there are a lot of Mexican restaurants here!) I have yet to have any entree from here that I didn't like. The quesadillas are great and so are the enchiladas. My husband love the various steak dishes they have. The salsa is wonderful and the service is always super speedy. Clarksville is in a dry county so this is one of the few places in town you can get an alcoholic drink with dinner! I recommend their margaritas. read more
