Completely inflated prices for "the holiday". Placed a to-go lunch order for very simple menu items for two adults and two small children, several items being side orders for the kids. We were charged $70! I called back to make sure we were given the correct order and the guy on the phone went over the items we ordered and their prices, including $10 for a side of grilled chicken, almost as much as a whole meal item. The person picking our food up then informed me that they were joking with him at checkout saying "look around, it's dead in here, that'll be $400, Christmas pricing hahaha" so very obviously had up-charged everything. Won't be going back here, unfortunately. The food was good, but not ok with supporting a business that is price-gouging just because they're slow for a holiday. read more

Went here for the first time today. The food was very good. This place is very nice atmosphere and very reasonably priced. Our only complaint is the booth that we were in was very tight. The wife and I are not large people. But other than that, we will be back. read more

This was a great restaurant, and I still think the food is very good. We went there for lunch today and one of the waitresses kept coming over to our table just to touch our 1 year old daughters hair and face, we were never asked if we needed refills and I had to walk up to the counter to ask for Togo boxes and the ticket because we waited and our daughter was getting increasing impatience. I have always had great service but today was such a an uncomfortable experience and it theres now a service fee added recently on top of what you have to tip to pay their employees. read more

Definitely a must try!! As a person who loves Mexican, this place has been placed at the top of my list!! Me and my husband rate restaurants, to ourselves, from 1-10 and this was an 8.5 in our book!! Their food is kinda expensive but it's also extremely delicious! It's not my favorite Mexican place in Murray, but i always enjoy the food and atmosphere when I'm there! I don't recommend getting any alcohol because your Bill will add up quick! read more

We noticed the indoor dining and decided to give them a try. We ordered a nacho plate to share and the waitress mistakenly put in the order for "Nachos fajita La Cocina (House) . . . and are we glad she did!! We were served the best nachos ever and we are so looking forward to returning. The staff functions as a team and any employee was happy to get requested items, answer a question or generally make sure we were satisfied customers! Price was reasonable for food received. Dani was an attentive and knowledgeable waiter. He recommended the Mexican guacamole with half jalapeños. It was delicious and fresh with a nice medium heat. Our bartender (who happened to be the owner) mixed his special Palmento drink which was a nice citrus drink.The food was delicious and came out very quickly. Great experience! The atmosphere and the hosts are wonderful addition to the wonderful food. My two kids and Father ate here we all ordered different meals and we all were sharing food. We couldn't finish all the food and are already looking forward to eating it for lunch tomorrow. The Waitress was wonderful and very helpful with our changes made to one of our dishes. The drinks were never empty and the salsa carafe made for easy sharing. I enjoyed the number 11 and the chorizo and chicken is exceptional. You have to try this place if you pass thru or live here. read more

Worst food became very sick after eating there spent 3 days in bed so bad almost went to the er

After learning that many restaurants were closed in Murray on the 4th of July, we found La Cocina. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. We sat outside on the patio and it was a nice atmosphere with sun umbrellas and music in the background. The chips and salsa were great and the food was great as well. The portions were large and we ended up taking food home. The prices were reasonable for the amount of food we received. Overall a great experience and we will come back. read more

When we were seated, the server knocked over the bottle of salsa which ended up all over my husband-all down his shirt and pants. Accidents happen so he cleaned up as much as possible and then we went about our dinner. You'd think that they would have offered to comp his meal, at the very least. But they didn't offer anything! I ended up asking about it and the person at the counter just said "I know, so sorry about that. I can take $5 off." (It was an $85 bill!) He was literally still wearing salsa all over. To me that is extremely poor customer service! We shouldn't have had to ask, they should have done whatever they could have to make up for it. The food was just ok and the service was lacking. This is really 2 reviews in one. Went to this restaurant for the first time and I was honestly impressed by the food. The portions were big and delicious which wasn't the problem. The portion size being so big actually led to the issue I had with them. The bill came and it was way more than I was expecting because of all the small fees they added on to it. I asked for more cheese for my fajitas because they only gave me enough for half the tortillas. I was thinking this isn't a big deal a new cup of cheese came out, it was enough for the rest of the fajitas. I also wanted another tortilla for my chicken because they didn't give me enough for all the meat on the plate, again not thinking this was a big deal. I also got some cheese for my chips which didn't seem like anything extra but then the bill came. My food was 8.95 which I thought was a good deal. The bill came and I had 6 DOLLARS in charges yeah basically almost my entire bill in extra fees. The tiny cup of cheese was 2 dollars more, the extra shells were 50 cents more and the nacho cheese was 3.50. I was blown away by the petty little charges that this place tacked on for basically nothing. I did see on the menu there is a 25 cent take out charge so this is apparently what they do. 25 cents to take it home really? I have no complaints on the actual food but you clearly have no idea on customer service or how to earn repeat business. I will not go to a place that wants to nickel and dime you to death on small little fees for stuff that should and is free everywhere else. I don't know why you would want to drive customers away with fees that basically add up to my almost my entire bill. You would think in 2020 a restaurant would do anything they can to get your business, and this one is doing everything they can to rip you off on fees. I will not go back to this place because the mentality they have is to get every last penny out of you in small charges. Long time regular to this place. Everything I've had on the menu has always been an absolute winner, though my favorite meal to eat alone is the cheese steak. But if you're with a group, and you're all willing to share a meal, hands down go with the parillada. It's a sizzling fajita that comes with pork roast, steak, shrimp, chorizo, chicken, and roasted vegetables. It says it serves two, but truthfully it'll feed a party of four or more. My favorite Mexican restaurant in Murray and definitely in my top five restaurants period. If you're in town, definitely check it out. read more
