Met up with family while in town, we were also here a few years back, I don't know if it's under new management or what but the food was much better last time than this time. With all of chaos of catching up, I didn't get pictures. We ordered some burritos, chimichangas and fajitas and the only thing that was good was the fajitas. The chimichanga was okay other than it laid in the beans which were extremely watery and I don't like beans but my spouse normally eats those, however since they were under my chimichanga he couldn't. I ended up opening my chimichanga and eating the chicken out of it. Next time we are in town we will try the other Mexican place. The service itself was good, they did take back the meals that were really messed up and replaced with new. It was pretty loud in there but that was fine. read more

Very disappointed with not only the food but the customer service of the employees and the owner. Ordered over $40 of food to go picked it up and once we got home and started to eat. The bowl my wife got called the Molcajete... the steak was over done in it and the onions were VERY underdone. So my wife called the store back and told them the issue and the lady on phone had owner come to phone. The owner proceeded to to be rude and did not seem to care until I got on phone and became rude with him! Once I got very stern and rude he Finally agreed to fix what he should have fixed in the first place without a fight as a business owner! once picked up replacement the food that we complained about being under cooked was cooked to a crisp! Almost like a smart remark! This will be the last time we go back! La casino is right across town and the quality is way better as well as prices and customer services! This was a decent find. I would give it a 3.5 stars. I would give my meal the Chicken Salad 4 stars even though it was overloaded with green peppers. I forgot to take a pic before digging in though. The chicken was flavorful and so good. I got a side of guacamole to go with it and it was really good. My husband had the Jalisco chimichangas which surprisingly had a sauce on them. He said it was good but not 4-star worth. That's why we'd say 3.5. read more

this is the only restaurant I have been in the United States, that says it will be open. In fact they had people eating and eight people working, but was closed. The excuse was the cook called in sick. That sounds like MGR problem. All I can say go here at your own risk, you will never know if they are open or closed. read more

Ordered carry out. totally messed our order up. We ordered Pollo Loco and actually got somebody else's order , but we ended up eating it and the rice was so over cooked we stopped. There was a lot of like .. juice? In that container so it actually ended up spilling all over everything in the bag. I got a fajita potato and it's just dry, bland chicken on top of a bland baked potato (no seasoning) combined with still crunchy peppers, onions,and tomatoes. Asked for no lettuce and they actually put some on and then covered it up with chicken so.. 4/10 read more

Started off talking to my server, Rodrigo, about the Margaritas. He made me a Top Shelf and I immediately changed it to a half pitcher order. It's that good. Followed that up with an order of Guacamole Mexicana which was pretty good. For an entree, I ordered the Fajitas Rancheros and added fresh jalapeños for a little extra spice. Overall, 5 stars on the Rita's, 3 on the guacamole, but that could have been a supplier issue getting fresh fruit to them. 5 stars on the fajitas. We were in Murray for the evening and were told that this would be a good place to eat... and they were right! The food isn't expensive at all, it's actually right at average price or even below. I had the enchiladas supremos and they were delicious. The Mexican rice was some of the best I've had in a while. The service was top notch and on top of things, my tea never got below half full. I would definitely recommend this place! If I'm back in Murray anytime soon I will definitely stop back in. read more

I went with my parents for the first time today since we are in town for orientation at MSU (Go Racers!) I got the Fujita Bowl (chicken and shrimp) and it was pretty good, just a little on the saltier side. It paired well with the delicious virgin strawberry daiquiri I ordered. The queso and guacamole we ordered with the chips were really good as well. Unfortunately, they were out of bananas so I didn't get to try their banana burrito dessert, but we ended up splitting an order of chimi cheesecake and strawberry cheesecake. The chimi cheesecake is a definite must, especially if you like cinnamon! And I personally wouldn't recommend the strawberry cheesecake (it was more like a cool whip type and not all that great tasting- set by refrigeration [not baked] and just sort of gelatinous) The service was pretty quick and our server always made sure we had something to drink, and that we liked our food. They do not have a good selection of cocktails, (No Vodka & Tonic seemed strange) but Tequila and cerveza was appropriate. Occasionally the servers will lose focus and refill with the wrong drinks, or forget to bring out a sauce or dip, but they are human. The owners want to ensure everyone has excellent service. ordered a draft,got a bottle. guacamole was foul smelling and it was smeared all over my wifes dish,she could not eat 25% of her meal due to the smell of the guac....there were three tomato tops (where the vine was)...totally inediable ......no lemon for my wifes tea(waiter brought some after about 10 mins).....they were not busy my food was drenched in a runny cheese sauce rendering the tortillia as a gummy mess that stuck to the plate....the chicken was partially chopped up and stringy and was disgusting looking....there were so many onions on my burrito I had a pile on the side of my plate....I consumed maybe 30% of my food and just gave up....the waiter came over and asked if we wanted boxes....I said no,throw that stuf in the garbage....it was awful....he muttered under his breath and then when he got near the other workers he spoke about us in spanish I asssume because they were all looking at me as I stood up......when I paid my bill the man asked if everything was good....I described in detail why it was not as expected....he did not look at me no did he address any issues I brought up....I told him I would no be back....I have eaten there for decades-never again.poor attitude,poor food,good service however....I know everyone loves the place and before today I did as well.....we were celebrating being covid free for 10 days....next time I will go to the keg!!!! read more

I've never had a negative experience at a Mexican restaurant, until today. I was out with my coworkers to get lunch at Murray's location. First, we made it clear there would be 2 checks, they were 1 and I was paying for myself. Everything proceeded like normal, but I witnessed one of my coworkers' food was wrong, they sent it back, then they brought the food back, it was still wrong. This exchange happened about 2-3 times. I witnessed my coworker telling our waiter that their taco salad was supposed to be with fajita chicken, not beef. I didn't find out till later but they didn't even attempt to change/fix the wrong order. Usually when a mistake like that happens, the waiter/waitress apologizes and goes to correct the mistake. Our waiter looked mad that my coworker didn't want to accept the wrong order. Usually when this happens, you would comp the mistake and ask if they want something else instead, I will touch up on this point at the end. I realized I didn't get a side of queso like I ordered. That's not a problem, I'll just wait and I'll ask them to take it off my bill if I don't get it. Well, the checks came, I was charged for cheese, I asked to get it removed, then I realized my ticket was still wrong, they charged me for 1 taco salad, I asked to get it removed. I walked up front and waited for my turn to pay, I noticed my ticket on the table and said I got charged for that salad, I didn't order that. The guy who worked with me looked defeated, "I wish you told me that sooner." Why? Because my coworkers only paid for the 1 salad, I just looked confused. The guy went and got my waiter, they start chatting in Spanish giving me the side eye. The waiter was confused for some reason, he kept saying 2. Yes I said, I was paying for myself my coworker paid for the other coworker. Long story short, they expected me to pay for someone else's food, the waiter knew fully well I asked him to take it off my ticket and chose to ignore me and make it a problem, I don't know what was said, but I know he wasn't telling the truth about what happened. I will never visit the Murray location again. Martin's location is far nicer, far more respectful than what I experienced here today. Don't go to this location, you may just get stuck with my waiter and get stuck with paying for somebody else. read more

A great location across from MSU! A great place to eat before you attend an activity at Murray State. The food was well prepared and I always enjoy when a new basket of chips arrives before I complete my first basket of chips. I also liked that I did not run out of salsa.
