Wow!!! I haven't eaten here since I was a kid and it was in a different location. My mother (who has since passed) and I used to go to La Cocina when it was in Rosenberg and I'm so glad I mustered up the courage to return.. 12 years later! The service is outstanding! Sylvia is so kind and attentive! Our food was very flavorful! The green sauce has always been my favorite and I almost cried when I ate it again! Definitely a core memory for me! The consistency of this establishment after all these years is incredible. The margarita was wonderful! And for 7.99 you can't beat it! Definitely hit the spot! I love that they have an outdoor patio (once it's not a billion degrees outside) and also local businesses displayed on the tables. This establishment really understands the word of community! We will definitely be back! 1000/10 recommend!!!

Today I ordered a kids' meal for my daughter, which included a cheese quesadilla with rice and beans. According to the menu, the kids' meal is supposed to come with a soft drink--but when I went to pick up my order, the server acted like I was out of line for asking about it. Apparently, drinks are only included for dine-in orders, but that isn't stated anywhere on the menu. The fact that they're charging almost $10 for the meal without providing the drink for to-go orders is ridiculous. Honestly, I could have ordered a regular dish for the same price, and now I wish I had. The server refused to give me a drink unless I paid extra, which makes no sense when the cost is the same for dine-in or takeout. Aside from the drink issue, the food quality itself was disappointing. They used cheap American cheese for the quesadilla, not even shredded cheese. It was bland and far from the authentic Mexican flavors I expected, especially coming from a Hispanic background myself. I don't know why this place has such good reviews because it's overpriced and definitely not worth the hype. Living right behind this restaurant, it's frustrating that I'll now have to drive farther to find good, authentic food. Unfortunately, this place missed the mark on both food quality and service. To make matters worse, the owner was right at the front when I walked in and didn't even acknowledge me. I may not have looked my best that day, but that shouldn't have influenced how I was treated. It's disappointing to feel like I was ignored and treated poorly just because I didn't fit the image of a wealthy, white customer, even though I have money like anyone else.

My mom and I stopped for lunch. She asked for a small side of sour cream and guacamole. We got the bill and were charged $3.50 for the sour cream and $5.25 for the guacamole. Also, La Cocina now charges a non cash adjustment fee when you use a debit card. This place has lost our business for life!

It's Wednesday , so you know what time it is, it's Wednesday Tacos. The freshest, best tasting tacos money can buy. Love them. It's a fixture in our family for Wednesday.

We are newish to the area and have tried La Cocina before and hadn't been back until last week. We have been missing out on a great spot! The La India was super good(basically a decomposed taco salad with flour shell flattened). We love the refried beans! The chicken enchiladas and cheese enchiladas are tasty as well. If you haven't been lately, give it a whirl.

My delicious El Marinero plate freshly served!!!

There is no better mexican restaurant in texas than La Cocina. There, I've said it. Get the bbq rib fajita or fish tacos. MMMMM.

This review is based solely on an Uber Eats pickup experience…read more I was doing Uber Eats and stopped by to pick up an order. Since it was my first time there, I wasn't familiar with the pickup process. There was a family sitting in the lobby, and when an employee came to the front, he greeted them and asked if they had been helped... meanwhile I was standing right there in front of him. After speaking to them, he put his head down and started looking through something without ever acknowledging me. I waited a moment to see if I'd be acknowledged, but I wasn't. Eventually, I stepped closer and asked where I could pick up the order. He dismissively pointed around the corner. That was issue #1. Issue #2: when I got to the pickup area, employees were moving in and out of the kitchen and walking throughout the restaurant, but no one stopped to acknowledge me. NOT ONE person. I waited another 7 minutes (yes, I timed it) before someone finally asked, "What do you need?" Not, "hi, how can I help you?" But, "what do you need?" As a delivery driver, the expectation is to be able to come in, grab the order, and go. Instead, I felt completely invisible. I won't be returning to this establishment. To management: please train your staff on basic customer service and acknowledgment. A simple "we'll be right with you" would have made a huge difference.

Pablo's offers very good food and drinks consistently from one visit to another. My most recent…read moreexperience was the Mahi Mahi fish tacos with red cabbage. I love this fish but this one was a little overcooked and dry. The seasoning drives the flavor making it acceptable and a good dish. However, the cilantro rice had no flavor and adding salt at the table couldn't rescue the dish. The service is fast but our server was very mechanical focused more on execution than customer service. I like Pablo's but the busy periods with large crowds makes it less favorable.
