Another local hidden gem! Wow is all I got to say about this place. The breakfast is always great! Fresh homemade tortillas and beans. We have tried the Pork Chop breakfast sub the potatoes for beans with a side of ranchero salsa, the breakfast tacos, and the Huevos Ranchero. Every dish is very good. This has became one of our favorite breakfast places in Rosenberg, TX . If you are in the area check this place out and you won't be disappointed. I don't like writing bad reviews but this was very disappointing. I paid $40 for 2 lunches of food that was very artificial tasting. The Dr Pepper was watered down and had a bad taste to it. We ordered one and sent and charged for two. Service help sat while tables left dirty until people came in to sit at them. We won't be returning. read more

I'm able to say that I've been eating here for a few years , and every time I come here , the service is great , the food is great ! It doesn't matter what you order here bcuz it's all so delicious ! Authentic Mexican food place. I was the for breakfast. I had Huevos rancheros. Very good . The refried beans were excellent. The hand made tortillas were awesome! The chips were served warm and were crispy. The red and green sauce were also wonderful. If you are in the area, stop in. Very friendly & attentive manager, Jonathan. Food was very good. Queso, salsa and chips were really good. I had the tortilla soup, great flavor, just wish it had carrots and maybe chayote. Made the suggestion and the manager was very open to it. My hubby had the Guadalajara and he really liked it. He said the charro beans had a quick to them but still enjoyed them. It was empty and stayed empty, might have been because we went around 4:30pm. We will definitely be back and I do hope that they are successful as the food was delicious. read more

I didn't enjoy my food. I ordered The Tejas Sampler, which came with chicken fajita nachos, two taquitos and quesadillas. For starters, the "fajitas nachos" were not the authentic nachos that are shown. It was chips, something like Rico cheese sauce and chicken on top. When I received my food, the nachos were very soggy and wet. The queso was not authentic. Next was the taquitos, they were crispy, but had absolutely no flavor or seasoning on the meat. The quesadillas, were beef and they tasted ok, nothing to run home about . This was my 1st time and more than likely last time , bc the food wasn't good . read more

My buddy gets the menudo all the time and his son is always a picky eater, but that kid loves the chicken tenders here- so patents take note. I got the deluxe dinner and trust me, it's ALLOT of food. Rice, beans, a tamales, an enchilada, guacamole, a tostada, and a taco. It's all good and I am tapped out for the day after eating here. You'll be very well fed. Prices are low, so you'll eat well without hurting your pocket book. Oh! The chips and salsa are really good here. Nice spicy kick on the salsa. Place is clean. My husband had the crispy tacos and he really enjoyed them as they were served on a taco rack to avoid the taco shell from falling apart.. Absolutely the worst experience with breakfast tacos ever! I wanted to try the place being new to Richmond, but I made a mistake. I ordered 4 breakfast tacos and all of them were horrible, bacon&egg(horrible), sausage and potato(cut up patty w/potatoes), chorizo taco w/ no egg! Overall for me the tacos were scored as a 1. I called back the lady quoted my order back to me and asked if I wanted replacement..the tacos were so horrible I said no, I will just not order from here again! When I arrived i observed a man running out of the restaurant workers were distracted from customers, total mess, also observed a man walk out with a to go order not pay, lady had to chase him down to pay. First time here, it was amazing. Cheese dip was top notch and I'm not a salsa fan but their salsa is one of the best I've ever had. Beef fajita tacos are amazing. Staff appears to be mostly of genuine Hispanic heritage and maybe a family operation., service was perfunctory, attentive ... restaurant was not busy on a FRi dinner time Price for fajita meal was higher than expected, imo. It may have been an off night for the kitchen staff, but nothing tasted as it should .. mostly bland, no spice no kick. Disappointed. I am a big fan of traditional Tex-Mex Fajitas , pico de gallo , borracho beans. The red Salsa provided with tortilla chips had hint of taste of ketchup -- little to NO spicy heat. Chips came warm. Generous portion of Rice seemed like a bland Spanish rice not spicey Mexican rice. sizzling fajita plate was well presented with sizzling meat, sliced onions, and Bell peppers ( I asked for them ). Portions were adequate, ( too much bell peppers, many slices too thick) . very Few onions / bell pepper slices showed any proper carmelization. Meat slices were proper sizes, but had NO fajita seasoning or marinade, just bland. PIco de Gallo, charro beans were bland with no TexMex signature taste. This is my 2nd visit , first-time was soon after they opened. Amazingly, I have yet to locate an acceptable Tex-Mex Restaurant in this area. Relocated to this area 3 yrs ago. read more

First time here. Excellent customer service! The atmosphere of the restaurant makes you feel so comfortable like you are at home. Our waiter was so sweet and attentive. I got the flauta dinner, includes 4 flautas, rice and beans. It was soooo good, best flautas I've had so far. They were so juicy. My boyfriend got the Parillada for 1. The meat was delicious as well and flavorful! Not to mention, the tortillas are HANDMADE; this is definitely going to be my go-to spot. I was excited to try Tejas when I heard it had been opened by former Larry's employees. The location is clean and decorated well. It's bright and airy The Chile con queso tastes much like Larry's queso...which is a good thing, in my opinion. The chips unfortunately had a funky taste and grainy texture...like the oil used to fry them had been old possibly. But, I don't think these are in house made chips...so, who knows...but they were mostly unedible. Really, my main complaint was that most everything was bland. The refried beans and the quac needed salt desperately. The cheese enchiladas were good...but the serving sIze seemed a bit chintzy. They've just opened, so I'll wait til some of the kinks can be worked out for a second visit. read more

The Texas Mexican Grill is the real deal. We were headed home to the Valley from Houston and checked Yelp for recommendations and ended up with this fabulous choice. Starting with the salsa & chips, I could have eaten that for my meal it was soooo good. The chips are fresh, light and delicious. My husband ordered the menudo, he ate every last drop. The tortillas they brought with it were excellent. I ordered the Mexican plate and couldn't finish it, although I really wanted to, with so much delicious food. Everyone working there is friendly, happy and helpful. The restaurant is super clean & bright. My first time trying out this spot and the food was delicious. We ordered delivery and arrived within 30 minutes and it was still hot. Although they forgot our drinks, the owner personally delivered them to our home and refunded us the price. He also included a nice little extra with it too. I will definitely try them again. Walked in the restaurant and it smelled of sewage. Should've taken the hint and left. Unfortunately the food was not served hot nor was it fresh tasting. The queso had a chemical taste to it.
