This also had a nice flaky crust and lots of flavor. As our main meal we had an egg stuffed arepa and a mini bandeja paisa. The egg stuffed arepa was good but the bandeja paisa was even better. It's a bowl with rice, saucy red beans, a small arepa, sausage, chicharrón, beef, a sweet plantain slice and why not? A beautiful fried egg on top! phew! I know it's a mouthful. It's comfort food in a perfect package. Honestly, I tasted only about half of the meats because my hubby scarfed it down way too fast.
