It's on the corner of the newer plaza and you can't miss it driving on Pines. Parking was easy since it's located in a plaza and if you want the ease, they do offer valet or an area to drive up to drop off. The space is classy so please dress accordingly since they have signs that state a dress code. We were seated right away & the space is beautiful. They have a fountain inside and the decor is something to marvel at. Our server was Jimmy and he was wonderful! Super attentive and friendly and made our dining experience super pleasant. My family ended up sharing some dishes including the calamari and the roasted chicken. We don't usually have the biggest appetites so sharing these two for a light lunch was great. The chicken was tender and delicious and the calamari was drenched in a chili-ginger beer glaze which is not like the typical calamari. This was a favorite for my parents and is good if you're not expecting just a classic calamari. We also got a few drinks including the spicy watermelon margarita, which my dad enjoyed, and I got a refresher N/A drink, the cranberry mule. This refresher was just okay and didn't have much of the cranberry flavor as I was hoping. Overall, a great dining experience. It is a bit on the pricier side but the food was good with ambiance to match!

For my entree, I had the roasted chicken with mash and I was honestly surprised by the size of the plate! The chicken was not dry at all and the gravy was nice and peppery. I thoroughly enjoyed it and had left overs for the next day. (Side note: if you want to split a entree, it's an additional charge of $8) The Kaluz Pembroke Pines location is very elegantly decorated with a beautiful fountain in a center section of the tables. The one we had the previous night at Taj Indian Grill was significantly better. - Paneer Masala: Lacked flavor and tasted like tomato purée mixed with cream. The same dish at Taj Indian Grill was outstanding. My cousin ordered a chicken dish. When the server asked our preference between thigh and breast meat, my cousin asked for thigh meat. However, we were served breast meat. The worst part, unfortunately, was the dessert. We ordered the Malai Kulfi, which was taken straight from the freezer and served without clearing our plates. The kulfi itself was extremely disappointing--one of the worst I've had. I'm from North India, and I've had great kulfi over the years, but this one was so dense it needed a knife to cut, with a powdery taste none of us liked. When we mentioned it to our server, instead of simply apologizing, he responded arrogantly, insisting their kulfi is featured on a show and is a "signature dish." A good restaurant knows how to accept feedback rather than try to prove customers wrong, and this interaction rubbed us the wrong way. Well, I enjoyed the one I ate up before this one can only be called outstanding. Nearly everything about it was perfect. The restaurant is beautiful, clean and well arranged. The food is fresh delicious creative and well priced. The service is generally pretty good although I did think it suffered a bit because I was seated in the bar area and it was understaffed for that particular area that day. This did not affect the overall experience. The all you can eat menu is good, missing only a few items like Uni. But for the price point is beyond adequate. The a la carte menu was also quite good and unlike their other restaurant, my wife who does not have nearly the appetite that I do was not forced to order all you could eat as well when sitting at the same table. This was a huge selling point for me. One of the best things about this particular restaurant is that they serve sashimi as well as sushi. As such without filling up on rice, I was able to sample a lot of different items and I have to say there were no disappointments. Things like scallops and sweet shrimp were a bit smaller than I am accustomed to, but were delicious. The rolls were beautifully done, including a wonderful rainbow Naruto roll which I would highly recommend. The sashimi was served in an absolutely beautiful tray which you can see in the attached video. Other all you can eat sushi restaurants simply do not do things like this. Total standout in presentation. Service is excellent in food. All came out relatively quickly considering it was quite crowded that day. There was nothing that I did not enjoy completely. In fact, in several instances, I ordered more of the same thing. I tried a couple of specialty rolls in a hand roll and each of them was expertly prepared and well beyond my expectations. The dessert choices are few, but they did have green tea ice cream, which is what I wanted so I cannot complain. Overall, this was a wonderful experience. When I say closer to my home, it is still almost an hour away, but as well worth the drive and I think I will be going often. I love sushi and to find a place that serves all you can eat at a reasonable price and delivers this high-quality great taste and good service deserves my frequent visits.
