I hate giving bad reviews, but the wait is absolutely ridiculous. While I waited for my takeout order two people left because they were tired of waiting. The food was not very flavorful, and the rice seemed old. I'm Colombian, born and raised, so I know our food. The sancocho did not taste like sancocho, it was just a regular soup. I know Yelp loves lengthy reviews. This is not the one. All I have to say is DEEE LISHHHH OUS! Went with the traditional Bandeja Paisa and everything on the plate was so good. This meal was filling and the price is right. I almost didn't review this because this is a hidden gem and I didn't want the good people of Hollywood know they have this spot lol I would suggest to dine in. Best Colombian restaurant in Broward county! Soooooooooo good! I've liked everything there. The chicken soup is okay just a little salty. You usually have to wait to get a table but the wait is not too bad. The ambiance is very casual and homie - straight to the point restaurant with little decor and two big TV's. Great for cheap family meals. I will be back within the next month for sure as we are now regulars. read more

I do not recommend this place at all. Been there twice and both times I've had an issue. The first time the entire place smelled like feces (02/11 to be exact), I immediately left. Today I ordered two "picanha with avocado" and I was very clear to the person who took my order, I wanted the meat well done and they failed. The meat was completely raw from the inside. I immediately called the restaurant to speak with the manager or to the person in charge, and they were not willing to help. I spoke with a Cuban lady, who said she had just started her shift, and did not helped at all and gave 0 solutions. She said that if I hadn't touched or eaten the food, they could give me another plate or see what they could do. (are they going to give this food to someone else? Of course I had tried the food, otherwise how am I going to know if the meat was raw or not? Doesn't make sense. If I take this food back to the restaurant, it should be thrown away, for obvious reasons). The rice was clearly not freshly cooked and the whole experience was a mayhem. Very good food at an even better price. I started with an espresso that led to the pollo encebollado (grilled chicken with onions.). The platter was huge. Two pounded thin chicken breasts smothered with onions served with a side "salad" (lettuce & tomato only), plantains, rice & beans. A lot of food at a very reasonable price. And, the food was very delicious. The beans were slammin' good; full of flavor. My only meh was the rice. And how do you fail at rice? Serve it with a few pieces that are hard. Otherwise, the rice had good flavor, too. Someone at the table next to me was eating a chuleta (pounded fried pork tenderloin) that was the size of the plate and looked delicious. This place is amazing. The portions are great and the flavors definitely speak for themselves. They even have a house made hot sauce that I now want in my fridge at all times. Even with a slight language barrier the staff understood us well and were great with their customer service. I highly recommend this place and feel that I will be back sooner rather than later. Prices are good and not expensive like other restaurants that serve you alittle bit of food for $25-$40. You get what you pay for here and more, this is what I love about here and hope they don't change that about themselves. Quality and quantity is what you'll get here. The inside of the restaurant is good, not too big and not too small, ambiance is a little busy since there so many people that try to come here and eat but overall is fine because you can enjoy your food and have small talk with your guests. I am pretty addicted to their sancocho de costilla. The taste isn't so watery, a proper thick sancocho will have a denser soup ( main reason for thickness is the veggie starches and the fats from the meats). Even the rice is pretty flavorful to enjoy. The food was great I ordered the bandeja paisa and it was so good that I ordered another one to take home to my wife. They give you a good portion, all the food in the plate was good the beans, chicharrón and chorizo were cooked just right. I've been there twice so far I keep forgetting that it's there, it doesn't have a good view from the front and if you didn't know it was there you would pass it by. Food was good. However, the service was extremely slow. Waited for drinks for at least 20minutes., the timing on the food was reasonable. Then waited for my table to be clear for 25 minutes after eating. Waitress passed by numerous time and never acknowledged that we had finished . We then had to actively seek her attention to place a to go order and ask for the check. In all fairness to the waitress, she was very polite but poorly manage the tables that she was responsible for. That's where a manager comes into place by coordinating and observing the flow of the staff to prevent these kind of service issues. To top it off, an additional $3 was charged for the use of a Visa card which normally only applies with a AX card. Not a pleasant experience. read more
