This review is for the 4th street location in Plays del Carmen. It is off the craziness of 5th Avenue. The restaurant was not very busy while 5th Avenue restaurants are packed, so I hope they make it. Margaritas are smooth and delicious. Service was excellent. Free salsas were excellent. Kids quesadillas with beef were smoky and tender. Chicken fajita was very tasty with lots of peppers and onion. Corn tortillas were fresh. Guacamole was very good but needed salt. The restaurant has outside seating that overlooks 10th Avenue. Not much to look at but it is pleasant outdoor dining. read more

My wife and I stopped here for takeout pizza. While we waited for the pizza, we both had drinks. She had a mojito, which she really liked, while I had a margarita that was very sour. It was probably one of the worst margaritas I had in Tulum. We left after we got our pizza, which included a prosciutto pie and a pepperoni pie. The pizza was not great either. Another gem found in the La Veleta neighbourhood in Tulum. We came here on the recommendation by a good local friend of ours that has lived in this area for a few years. Beautiful modern space with an open air concept. High ceilings, wood accents and nice bar give this place some distinction. All our food was great. All well seasoned, prepared and delicious. We had a good dinner here. The staff are attentive, the food is good (we had a fish tacos and pasta, which some apps) and there is a large menu to choose from. It's our first day in Tulum and my husband and I were so hungry. We checked Yelp and found this cute gem. My husband got the verde chilaquiles and the egg was perfectly cooked, and the sauce was a wonderful verde with a delicious taste. I wanted something lighter (need to be bikini ready) and chose to have the grilled chicken caesar salad and I'm honest when I tell you this was one of the best salads I've ever had. The chicken was so deliciously seasoned I was eating it off my salad. The dressing was perfect, matching the service from Luis. I'm so happy we found this place our first day, because I already want to come back! Follow up to my review, we did end up coming back a 2nd time and we shared the chicken fajitas. It was delicious! The food has been great every time I have came to this location. I have tried breakfast and even lunch here. They keep the place clean and constantly cleaning around. The staff is friendly and attentive. Many of them have spoken a bit of English so easier on tourist. They also have no problem switching the channels around for sports. read more

Very deceiving! Do not EAT here! This place has horrible service and even horrible manager. We ordered appetizers and didn't receive them until 45 minutes after we sat down. We didn't get our food until near 70 minutes after sitting down. This was late at night and the place was Not busy. The food was nothing special. A long wait but it was fine, after an hour sitted with no plates, the waiter comes over and says that they lost the order and he couldn't remember what it was so if we could order again. After another 40 min no food, we asked to speak w the manager he never came. We asked how long he said 15 more minutes while they kept delivering food to other tables. Because of COVID, they offered hand sanitizer for me as well as my husband before entering the establishment. Food was amazing, but the best part was the service. Our server José was a delight! His energy was so bright and sweet that we want to go again. And that's saying a lot because there are lots of places to eat in Tulum! (And we only are here on vacation) Anyway, check out this really cool indoor-outdoor spot. And don't worry about sanitation, all of the employees wear masks and face coverings. We wanted to try as many spots as we could, but because of the convenience and how good the food was, we ate here 3 times during our 3 day stay in Tulum. They have an extensive menu which you can order for any meal all day, and it was cheap. One of our meals consisted of a clams in white wine sauce appetizer, 4 entrees, and 4 smoothies/fruit water and it came to around $56 USD. The service was amazing and attentive. They brought over a rack/purse holder and offered bug spray without us asking. I just wished they had iced coffee because my hot coffee wasn't satisfying. I would eat here again. read more

Great little spot if you're in the neighborhood. We went there for lunch twice. The seating is nice and airy. I saw a couple of people with their laptops, so it may double as a nice space to spend a couple work hours. Overall, not too crowded either. 5/5 for casual, airy lunch atmosphere 5/5 for food. Tourists beware! Visited September 2021. We had a lovely experience until we got the check. We thought we were having genuine conversations with our server Frank and were so appreciative that he spoke English (because my boyfriend knows very little Spanish). I took the check from my boyfriend to do the $ conversions and found that the server had crossed out the "propina" line to cover up that the tip was already included! So disappointed. This happened at one other place during our stay but I didn't catch it in time after my boyfriend had paid. Especially since we would have tipped more for the service if he had not tried to scam us into double tipping. The food was decent but I suggest taking your business down the road to Don Sirloin (great tacos, no scams)! This type of behavior has turned me off from returning to this part of Mexico.
