The MAV meal is Six dollars, which includes a drink and chips. The kosher hot dog is about six inches and is triple the size of your average dog. Come see the parent volunteers in concessions who always make sure you have what you need. The best part is watching our student athletes play football under head coach, Sean Sovocool. Its the best gig in town. If you forget your jacket, theirs awesome spirit wear. It's always fun to have the mav wear when rooting for the boys.

The have an upstairs area for inside classrooms with no windows and some classes do. They have an upper decking with a viewpoint of the whole campus plus the Orthrodonist, Rite Aid, and 7 Eleven. The Mustang Commons looks like a university. Ceilings are big and good enough for having a voice classes. All their vending machines are blocked off for the summertime. Fresh air inside/outside makes it easier to for me as incoming LCC Sophomore to breathe... Their water bottles are still purified, their Chimmie Chonga or Posada Burritos can be beat

Each grade offers children to work at their own pace, and children can learn curriculum in reading/math up to two grades above each grade they're in without a competitive feel between the children. NO IPADS which is amazing since all public schools use that now as a learning tool and I'd rather my daughter not learn via tapping her finger on a screen. There is an intentional effort to have healthier food options at events, ordered school lunches, birthdays in class, aftercare snacks, but there is also no judgement amongst parents or between admin and parents. They offer extracurricular classes for kids in TK and beyond. My daughter does keyboard and dance once a week after school, and it's really nice, she just stays an extra half hour and I pick her up when it's done, and she LOVES them. The aftercare program has been amazing compared to the other Montessori we went to prior to ECDS. We absolutely love our teachers this year, along with the extracurricular teachers we've met. Ms. Hayes is the new principal but has worked at the school for over 10-15 years, and she is just wonderful, caring, dedicated, and knowledgeable. It's a really good feeling as a parent to have the principal and teachers open and welcoming of communication, and allowing us to be involved with our child's experience at school. The schools building could be better but the staff and students are rude. Impolite or flat out racist, besides the people I listed off, there isn't many other good people there and I never woke up on a school day feeling safe at school.

The older kids openly bullied the younger ones, often in front of the teacher, with no consequences. According to my child, teachers were passive-aggressive toward each other, which created a tense and unhealthy atmosphere. The principal also controls what teachers are allowed to tell parents, so you may not get the full truth about what your child experiences during the school day. I would not recommend this school.

The small class sizes lead to individualization and great support from teachers. In addition to academic support, PAE encourages participation in school sports & activities, even without prior experience. These opportunities have helped our daughter to develop self-confidence and allowed her to create friendships with students across grade levels. My son whom you asked to leave your school just graduated from CSUSM and got his CPA license…read more Hiring a school psychologist would help your students to find out why they aren't performing rather than just booting them out. My son was diagnosed with ADHD and with medication he went from needing a tutor to being a tutor at CSUSM. It's a disservice to students to not tell parents to get testing and talk to a school psychologist about problems like bullying in school which also occurred at Grauer and affected his performance. Lack of motivation is associated with ADHD and also the severe bullying that was occurring off campus when he was biking to school. A psychologist would have been able to deal with these issues.

He also strongly believes in giving his students a stage to both preform on musically (amazing program, led by amazing instructors) , and one to pontificate on via a once a year special event for parents and grandparents put on by the Girl Rising club called Grauer Speaks. In past years it has been a night of student, and sometimes faculty monologues exploring a wide variety of social problems; from from LBGTQ issues, to women's rights, and the "Rape Culture in America" to name a few that I witnessed. It is often an intense night of student involvement and activism. My daughter excelled while at Grauer, and is now attending a prestigious women's College in western Massachusetts and thriving in the liberal arts program. Bottom line, Grauer School has an excellent college preparatory program , led by a thoughtful and principled leader. Grauer School embraces the gamut of todays enlightened curriculum.
