Lol! I have had Unibroue on more than one occasion and both times I was highly impressed with their beer. A beer that I may very well be able to say could be a new favorite as long as I can maintain getting it often there Blanche de Chambly. This is a blanche style witbierand after reading up on it is one of the original white ales that date back to the Middle Ages. I have really enjoyed the few that I have had as the blanche witbiers are just not that common in the United States. I have to say the brewery I wrote about a week ago also involved a blanche beer for Meteor Brewing. Although I loved their blanche too without going to France can be a challenge to find but I have seen Unibroue more often as a guest tap in the United States. Flavor highlights with this beer is a light, clean fruitiness which I found to be so very enjoyable. Another beer I had was a stout of theirs called the 30 Anniversaire. This beer I found highly enjoyable as well and as the name implies it is to celebrate 30 years and a thank you to customers. This Belgian style stout has a roasty, toasty and caramel flavor features and with all that combined makes for a delightful maple aroma. I have to say Unibroue really knows what they are doing with their beer and have gotten the belief getting any of their beers will knock your socks off!

For anyone that wants to enjoy this delicious nectar, simply go to their restaurant in Chambly, Fourquette Fourchette! Unibroue is expanding all the time, and apparently, they had issues with tours and beer contamination - thank God they had their priorities in order! Yep, no more tours - small price to pay for badass beer, though! This never prevented drive-by picture taking, though! Hahah. All kidding aside, this place makes incredible beer, and deserves special attention, tours or not. Make this a part of your Montréal visit and you shall not be disappointed!

I have dined in the evening at their St Denis branch and had a great experience and I'm happy to report the brunch was equally amazing. If you've ever dreamed of all you can eat AND drink (yes, all you can drink beer and mimosas), then Saint-Houblon is the place for you. Although this restaurant is more of a bar,the food quality and choices are truly refined. They source their own locally greenhouse grown veggies when possible and offer a range of elevated dishes with vibrant colors and combinations. With over 24 beers on tap and seasonal specials, this is the best place to try variety. For $30 a person (price can vary depending on season, it was $25 in January), you can choose an assortment of eggs (regular, benedict, scottish), sausage, bacon, creton, salmon rilette, chicken & waffles, pancakes, toast, bagels, garlic potatoes, quiche, beans etc with all you can drink beer (any on tap!) and mimosas. Similar to how you would order sushi at an asian restaurant, you are provided with a menu sheet for the group and just need to list how many of each item you want to order. You can keep on ordering as much as you like. For me the highlight were the eggs benedict, served over your choice of veggies or meat and resting on a sweet bun, the sauce was so flavorful and the pulled pork or brisket (not sure what it was) was melt in your mouth. If you want to get your money's worth, stay away from waffles or pancakes, they were extremely filling. Everything else is delish!! Fun to come as a group then you can really sample every item on the menu.

Great place with good and accessible food and a very nice beer list. Good vegetarian choice…read more The only issue is that children are only allowed outside. Which mean summertime ;)

The Francesco was a sweet beer that had a very nice vanilla flavour and a good mouthfeel, but was not overly heavy. The Ginette was a perfect combination of sour and hoppy. Both were fairly low on alcohol, which is helpful when you want to try different options! I thought their house beer was so good that I wished they had more of their own options on tap! I did not realize at the time that they were affiliated with La Succursale. The atmosphere was nice - lots of people enjoying their Friday evening. I really liked the wood bar. We didn't try any food, so I cannot comment directly on that, but the dishes looked good based on our view of the kitchen window.

The beer selection is pretty great and most of them are quite tasty, but the smell of varnish (?) from all of the wood is overpowering, the food isn't great and the portions are small, and the seats both inside and outside are uncomfortable. My biggest issue with Birra is the the service, it is consistently slow and never gives me anything close to a warm feeling. With so many other options in the area and the fact that they will not even allow me to tie my dog up to the outside of the patio so that he'd be sitting beside a planter and nowhere near people or the serving staff, I will spend my money literally anywhere else in the neighbourhood.
