The pizza is ok, the chipotle chicken empanada very flavorful no need for any additional sauce.

The daily specials all looked del and the Chicken in a spicy pumpkin seed sauce was sold out. They let me try the sauce and it was slammin! I ordered 2 Quesadillas at 12.00 each. Menu online is outdated but they adjusted the prices in house with a pen. Huitlacoche ( corn fungus or smut) made with onions and some added corn Flor de calabaza ( Zucchini flowers) Both with no overpowering seasoning and not over salted The staff do not speak English so considering I speak Spanglish and understand most cuisines it was easy for me. They are very friendly!!! Somehow someway the man (Abuelo) knew I am genetically Italian. Again super friendly staff. Outside is the taco grill inside another grill plus the kitchen. This is definitely a NYC hole in the wall prize like many spots in Queens. It's not a 5 star ripoff joint and don't expect Tex Mex Bring a friend more don't you will be happy

The filling was rich and savory, and tasted great with the salsas on the side. I also tried the atole, which was warm and subtly sweet with nice blue corn flavor. For a total of $16 (in cash), this meal was also a great deal. It's worth the trip!

I went to this Mexican restaurant with one other person after seeing a Mets game nearby, as it was…read morethe closest thing to the subway. The place is casual, and the servers became friendlier once I started speaking some Spanish, which is usually the case with spots like this. After ordering, they gave us some chips with salsa. The chips were fine, while the salsa was a tad watery and lightly spicy, which was the theme of the food in general, unfortunately. We started with some sopes, specifically Sopes de Pollo, to share which were around $10 for three of them. They each came with usual accompaniments outside of the chicken, with those being black beans, crumbled cheese, shredded lettuce, and tomato. The portion was nice, but the flavor was a bit too light as it lacked salsa (maybe as we were white folks, but who knows.) I found it a bit bland compared to some other spots and carts needing hot sauce. The other person got their Burrito (pollo also) at the same time, which they seemed to like. My main dish was a Torta (with Al Pastor,) which I think was around $11 or maybe a bit cheaper. It was well-sized as it should be, and as I ordered it "con todo," it came with the usual beans, tomatoes, avocado, lettuce, queso fresco, and jalapeño. The bread and the rest of the ingredients were fine, with the heat level being a bit milder compared to some other places I've been to. The meat wasn't my favorite, not really reminding me of al pastor, as it lacked any pineapple flavor, nor any pieces of pineapple, and it wasn't spiced in any way. It was more similar to general roasted pork, so it wasn't really distinct. This is unfortunate, as otherwise, I would have liked this. I found the Mexican food here on the bland end. I would blame this on us being gringos, but even the salsa was watery, and I can't imagine them cooking a separate type of al pastor specifically for white folks like us. The prices were fine, which is expected for the area, but I wouldn't go back here.

Maybe the best Al pastor I've had anywhere in NYC. And very generous portions. The waitresses are…read morevery nice.

Soft, flavorful masa and generous filling. I also tried tacos and a quesadilla, and everything tasted homemade and well seasoned. You can tell they know what they're doing here. Having never tried tamales before, I was pretty eager (thanks to her positive comments). We sampled both the adobo ($2) and birria ($2.5) tamales, and they were absolutely amazing. Personally, I found the adobo tamale to be slightly better in terms of flavor but both were equally well made with its rich, flavorful seasoning. My sister, who has tried tamales before, mentioned that these were even better than the ones she got from the random tamale table (near Woodside), thanks to the diverse flavor options available and how fresh they came out. The customer service here was exceptional. A friendly lady approached us, handed us menus, and took our order with a warm smile. Even though tipping isn't required, their service went above and beyond, making us feel genuinely welcome. We also couldn't resist trying the birria taco ($4), which arrived piping HOT. It was generously stuffed with birria, making it a hearty and satisfying choice. While it was a tad salty for my taste, my sisters thoroughly enjoyed it and had no complaints. Our total order came out to a little less than $10 for three people, which was perfect for a light snack before heading home for our protein dinner (get that protein intake in! EEEEEEEEEE)
