I ordered two birria tacos ($5 each) and consomme ($5). I immediately squeezed the lime over the tacos and ate them. the tacos which were finger licking good. I decided to eat the consumme the next day so I stored it in the fridge. the cold consomme becomes a block of jello. I flipped it into a pot and warmed it up. It was a beefy broth with 2 slivers of beef. I'd skip the consomme next time.

My favorites include the Lengua (beef tongue), Oreja (pig ear), and Camaron (shrimp). The Al Pastor and Carnitas are great too. All their tacos are always filled to the brim, which is appreciated. I do like their freshly made Guacamole and the Seafood Soup too. However, not a big fan of their cemitas or fluetas. Regardless, most of the food is quite excellent. Open early and close late, this has been a staple in my Mexican diet over the years in the Jackson Heights area. The decor is festive and the service is always friendly. Although, next time I'd probably skip the Craken taco and verde aguachile even though these two are a top recommendation. My favorite dish was probably the grilled shrimp. The way they grill it really brings out the sweetness and flavor of the shrimp. I personally enjoyed the la exotica more than the aguachile.
